If I take a pinch, lets say a weighed 1/8 of a gram of Kief, and put it in a pipe, and it is NOT pressed or clumped or compressed together, a flame will make it go POOF! and it is gone.
If I do compress it, I can get at least two tokes, one for each person, if I just light the edge and let it burn very slowly across from one edge to another, sort of like charcoal incense burns.
And
Let me remind you that smoke is escaping gases or moisture, smoke is what did not burn, and that is what gets us high. To get good smoke, we want a slow burn, a light burn, not a heavy big burn. HASH smokes much slower and is less hot.
If you're goig to smoke Kief, at least press it hard with something, compact it, make it hard and not fluffy, even if its squeezed between your fingers.
To me, just my humble opinion, but smoking just pure straight HASH or KIEF is such a different high, a heady high, I hate to mix mine with pot too.
In the 70s, I was financially very poor, and Pot was 60 cents a gram, and HASH was $5 a gram. We really hated to waste it and we only loaded one hit at a time in the pipe.
