Gypsy's Caravan Chronicles - Book 1 - Caravan Chaos

So sorry to hear you had the flu. Tendinitis on top of that? Bah!!!! :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

:hugs:

Still working on the tendinitis. Orson Welles never said anything about the wine coming out in intense pain. What a rip.
But otherwise, I'm feeling much better now :loopy:

Ok a partial update lol.

Feminized Seeds - Double Berry was chopped yesterday. I'll have to check the dates as to the timing, but it took longer than expected i'm thinking. It won't stop producing white hairs lol. I would have really liked to leave her for another week or two, but there's space needed and she is just starting to nanner a little. She received no care other than watering and treatment for a minor borg breakout midway. I can't even remember trimming a leaf lol. She's not perfect but I'll take her.

On the smaller side..

Trans Siberian x Devil Cream cross. I don't even know what to say :laughtwo:

Trans_Siberian_x_Devil_Cream.jpg

Black Cream x Devil Cream. She's likely getting the chop tonight.

A few new additions. Bubba's Gift

Bubba_s_Gift1.jpg

and at long last, American Pie  Found some borg marks. None to be seen but she was treated with a ginger, garlic, chile pepper ferment regardless. Along with everyone else. She's likely to be cloned so I'm taking no chances. Too many heart breaks just trying to get a hold of it lol.

More to come soon :cheertwo:

Happy Friday! Good garden vibes to all. :circle-of-love::Namaste:

Berry nice! :cheesygrinsmiley:

Thanks man! Yeah she did good for being left alone. Berry Cheesy aroma filling the house lol. She's an interesting one to gauge maturity with. Everything looked so 'not quite done' when I chopped. Today I pried a bud open and lots of amber inside. If I had left her another week or two she'd probably have rotted lol. I'm guessing the nanners were mostly instigated by age. At least that's my hopes. I'd like to clone from the next run.

I have some pics from the Opium strain too if I can ever find them. Sheesh.

In the meantime I'll leave you all with pics of the rotting stuff in the cupboard :laughtwo:

Pest control. Ginger, Garlic and pepper ferment. Normally one would ferment ingredients separately and mix after, but these do just fine together. After Neem poisoning two plants this year 🤦 I think I'm just going back to the good ol' days lol. Just gotta make sure I stay on it. I robbed a starter from the jar on the left. Now in the jar on the right. It can be stored and will really speed up the fermentation process with the next batch. :)
Ginger_Garlic_Pepper_ferment.jpg

Didn't really need it yet, but making another batch of Cal-Phos. The last batch using the experimental microbe culture really works great! Behind that are some Bloom ingredients. Papaya and Banana are fermenting now. The pumpkin will wait until she is a little softer.

See? You made me try to give you reps twice in one sitting. :hugs:

What does the garlic ferment smell like upon application?

That is one bad-ass cola hanging in front of that lovely shower curtain. You'd think you lived in a forest or something. Lol!

Once you have the Borg visit they tend to be around forever, don't they? I can't live or grow in a sterile world. I insist the immune systems of the plants be strong enough to withstand any onslaught, with my assistance with mechanical help like sprays. This one caught my eye. I've successfully used garlic against aphids before, though not fermented, just steeped. Whew! You could smell our place for a whole city block. :laughtwo: That's why I ask. The filter works but garlic.......

Your Trans Siberian x Devil Cream looks like she's going to Carnival. :laughtwo:

Upon application not bad at all. Most of the odor fades in the ferment. Right now? Like I wanna add lemon and put it on chicken. Delicious really.

Trees are a major theme where I live. :laughtwo: We love our trees. :)

The real question is who is visiting who. I think they've been here a lot longer than me. Honestly, I'm sort of lucky that they and an occasional thrip are all I deal with, considering where I live.

I think the best I have done over the last 15 years in regards to pests has been keeping the organic commitment. When time is sparse, I slack and use store bought. Usually end up paying more than a lot of money and the cycle continues eating up more time lol. So time being the foundation and money the blocks I've been re-committed :trance:

The problem is that ferments are like plants. It's way too easy to get too many going at once :laughtwo: On the bright side, they are way less costly. Typically work better, and are a lot more fun than a plastic bottle. You can even name them like we do our girls lol*. My Kombucha mother is named Carol Anne  If you saw her you would understand.

I mostly blame you and Em' for the inspiration btw. You with your soils and oils (lol) and then Em posted that she was getting some of her info from Gil at the unconventional farmer. I'm a long time fan of his fermentation work. The whole culmination lead to me finally saying the hell with it lol. Commit! :) :cheertwo:

There's some other ferments that are good for pests too. I'll be working with them soon if there is any green herbs left. I'd prefer a spring harvest but Oregano, Mint and Lemon Balm work wonders just about any time of year. There's always that last little growth spurt before winter that should provide good material.

*
:hmmm: Hmm. I suppose one could name a plastic bottle if they really wanted to. I do have a bottle of PH down with F*%k You Monsanto written on it.

:Namaste:

:laughtwo: OMG, you had me on the floor. Ahhhh......... God, you're fun to hang around. :hugs:

I'll have to start playing with fermented stuff too. I have some fertilizers I made that I haven't used yet, just simple thistle, comfrey, burdock and dandelion. Started them about two years ago. I forgot they were in the pantry and stumbled upon them yesterday. I should probably use them somewhere, shouldn't I?

You know, it's because of you that I drink Kombucha. :kisstwo:

Now ya did it. :bitingnails: I forgot to warn you. Kombucha is a Gateway Ferment. :laughtwo: The next step is Jun  I've never seen Jun for sale, so you'll have to learn to make your own. And the cycle continues lol. Next thing you know there's jars full of rotting stuff everywhere. Which reminds me. Note to self. Pour Jun tomorrow :reading420magazine:

A few before bed.

Cream of the Crop Seeds - Lemon Venom. Just cut. Had to use the shower curtain again lol. The rack is full of outdoor stuff. Pretty much the same story as Double Berry. I took a sample of this about a week ago. Tastes just like Lemon Drops candy. :)

Lemon_Venom_12.jpg

Long main cola.

Side branches aren't too bad. A little roasty toasty here and there. :icon_roll

and the sample is even better because I am bitten :lot-o-toke:

Good night 420 :circle-of-love:

I grew my first plant with nutrients, and I tore this poor plant up gypsy. It's a sad sight, and she's still gonna hobble into harvest and reward me for burning her tips and starving her as an infant.

It's just not right, what I did to that plant. I can't do that again. I'll stick to my living soils.

Those are spectacular shots of the colas. Lemon Drops you say? I've told you this before, but we live too far away. :laughtwo:

She's changing a bit as she cures. Still major lemon though.

Yeah, she was grown using only the scomby juice. Evidently I need to cut back a little :laughtwo:

Hopefully, I'll be able to update more this weekend.. provided we have power. Nasty storms here right now.

OH and to answer your question from a ways back lol. Yes, Lacto Serum is one of my main constituents. :slide:

24 hours of running on the generator makes no happy electro ugh. :icon_roll

But we're back! :yahoo: I love resetting timers almost as much as I love trimming. :laughtwo:

Bloom ferments are fermenting. Left to right. Sugar Pie Pumpkin. Same with part Acorn Squash. Papaya. Banana. This really easy for anyone interested. Nothing is measured except 1/2 cup of sugar in each. Everything was ran through a Ninja food processor to the desired texture. It's not needed, but I did introduce a friendly microbial culture. There's enough in the food to do the job on it's own. I'm just trying to speed up the process. Seems to be working. The jars need to be burped twice daily. Normal is once a day or every other. The banana almost blew its cap it started so fast. The magic liquid is forming quickly too. In the end, everything will be run through a juicer or pressed. Just depends on if I feel like juicer clean up at the time. :laughtwo:
Bloom_Ferments.jpg

Lemon Venom. Made it about that far trimming lol.

Oops! Pulled a chunk off while tugging on a leaf :) Guess we'll smoke that now. :passitleft:

Hahaha! I make that same "mistake" when I trim. Lol!

Looks mighty tasty!

Your Trans Siberian x Devil Cream looks like she's going to Carnival. :laughtwo:

As Carnivalistic as she was lol, she made some of the best tasting smoke. :) Really sweet, elite mixed berry flavor and super sticky. Her name ended up being Bottle Cap.
It's too bad auto's are pointless to clone. I've hit a few of these crosses where I would have liked to. Regardless, I'll be breeding a few out soon. I think I may even go so far as to do a re-cross of the Black Cream x Vertigo. :hmmm:

Oooooo...... I'll be right over. :laughtwo:

Damn!
Way to go EG! Some top shelf looking med's right there. :bravo:
More +reps.

They feel like top shelf meds right now. :tokin: The Lemon Venom packs a punch to be sure. If I don't make this quick it could turn into one of those 'where the hell did 48 minutes go?' four sentence posts. :laughtwo:

So I got these two clones in trade for some seeds. I've asked the guy at least five times what strain they are and he just gets a blank look and says "Silver something". It has been narrowed down to a piece of tape with the letters SS written on it. Which he says the first S is for Silver. So there you have it. The Silver Something strain. :hmmmm:

They need a little clean up. For now there just under some 6500k CFL's to keep them on the back burner.
Silver_Something.jpg

The American Pie (upper left) Gorilla Dawg (upper right) and Bubba's Gift (lower) are a slightly higher priority right now. The GD is pissed at me. Working on that. The BG is temp moody lol. She likes it cold. When the lights come on shes standing straight up and perky. End of the cycle she's dipping a little. The pot is a bit heavy too. She's definitely not taking on as much water as the others.
The American Pie is the primary target :) She's getting cloned. I'll probably flower the mother after, but I expect I'll have her around for a while. I'd really like to back it up in seed eventually.
American_Pie_Gorilla_Dawg_Bubba_s_Gift.jpg

I saw a seed on the Scott's OG x Permafrost that I treated with some male Scott's OG pollen a while back. :cheesygrinsmiley: I'll get pics next time I go in. I'm pretty excited with that cross. An early sample showed some extraordinary potency and tasted somewhat like lime margarita. Back crossing to a true male parent should be interesting. I'l be working feminized version as well. Eventually :laughtwo:

* TY auto save. Thought I posted this last night lol.

Auto save saves me all the time. :laughtwo: Lime Margarita you say? Mmmmmm...... Just had a margarita a couple weeks back, so that kicked my memory taste buds into action. Lol!

2 posts back to back?:laugh:

Yeah, kind of a rich lime-ish taste. I'm not sure if I like it or not, but I can say it's quite unique lol. It is early. I'm sure it's going to change quite a bit. Sure is potent already. Really impressed there. So much like her mom.. who we are having breakfast with after a 4 month cure. :)
