Growing Without Bloom Nutes By Farside05

Ha! They better still be alive or I’d be asking for my money back.

Refunds don't apply to operator error...lol.

This is where I believe calculating and feeding based on ppm of N comes in. N is the most likely thing to fry your plants and knowing about how much they need based on the age and size of the plant allows you to move from nutrient line to nutrient line with relative safety.

Just for the record:

My tap

After 4g Jacks 15-5-20 & .5g Epsom Salts

Repotted the 2 Mints plants into a window container and moved them out of the tent. They're a little stretchy. Maybe tomorrow I'll top them and make a few Mojitos.

what am i seeing here..sorry for not understanding
haha my tap puts out about 8.0 ph..i let the water sit..mostly concerned about chlorines..then when i water my slightly irregular home grown composted plants everything seems to work out in the wash..the plants seem to be happy ..if you flip through my grow journal..i used to worry more about this when i was growing in water..since i went 100% to true organic grows i havent had to add any nutes or ph balance chemies..my smoke is "clean and green" now..loving it. these damn weeds will grow almost anywhere..light and water lol! good pics brother of the herb!

It's really a bit of a comparison back to THIS POST since it's a different nute line. Although you can see that the starting pH of today's tap was lower than the previous time. Was kinda surprised with today's starting pH since it's normally like in the previous post. Kinda shows how much my tap can vary from month to month. The ppm's are still in the same range.

Not so much weed related post, other than I topped the biggest auto tonight and all the autos will need fed tomorrow.

Was at Walmart today and found 2 more mint plants. Topped my 2 mint plants that were in the weed tent and made some Mojitos. Fresh cut mint is a bit sweeter than store bought. Had to slightly decrease the amount of simple syrup in my Mojito recipe to get a balanced cocktail. Pretty damn amazing result once I got it worked out. Drinking "mistakes" isn't always a bad thing though.

Had someone come out to look at the garage door opener this AM. It's been stuck in the open position for probably 4 years. $325 later i have a new opener. Now I can finally finish the golf simulator. Before I couldn't hit more than a 7 iron and the projector wasn't hung.

Had to replace the wife's rear brakes on her van. 41 minutes, start to finish including putting tools away. That's a new personal best.

Fairly productive day.

Wow! Impressive.

That's what she said...

Sorry if I'm being an ass. Went from beer to tequila shots, to a margarita, to a mojito, to a mint julep, back to margaritas, and now contemplating what's next.

LOL! 4 years?

LOL! I guess moving off the 7 iron wasn't sufficient motivation?

Nice work. :thumb:

Indeed. So...what is next?

Finished last night with a shot of tequila and 1/2 a beer before I crashed. Had been up 26 hours. Got up this AM and watered the autos. Maybe I'll get some pics up after a bit. Then went off and gave the lawnmower it's spring service. Changed air filter, spark plug, fuel filter, oil filter/oil change, new battery and blades. Gave it a bath too. Managed to clean up the kitchen and do dishes. Running out of motivation. Wish I could blaze one but damn random testing at work. Seems like they do it mainly on Wednesdays and only if you're working at the main location and when they are in the process of hiring new people. Well guess where I'm working Wednesday and they're in the middle of hiring. Better safe than sorry.

How are you liking the Jacks compared to the MC?

So far so good. Pretty early to call. The front right and left were very similar in size when I made the switch and since then the Jack's seems to be outpacing MC. It's designed for tap water (having 20% Amonical Nitrogen). Wouldn't want to use it if you're running RO. I know if I decide to continue forward with it that I'll buy the big bag next time. 2.2 lbs is $30 and 25 lbs $80. Much more economical in the bigger quantity.

I don’t know if you listen to podcasts but on episode 74 of the KiS (Cannabis Cultivation & Science) podcasts, they had Dr. Cari Peters from JR Peters (Jack’s). I thought it was pretty interesting.

Been a week since the flush and feed and the switch to Jack's. I can't attribute all the difference to the fertilizer change, since even the one that stayed on Mega Crop looks better than it had. The reused Faux-Mix definitely had some build up that needed rinsed out. I'm happy with how things have progressed in such a short time.
