Growing A Legend: An Auto Tribute To Jack Herer

Hey guys just some 52 Days pics... I trained some of the other branches down so that now pretty much every top is on the same level. The funny thing is I didn't even need to anchor the ties into the soil, just pretty much hanging them on the branch weighed them down enough.

I got pistils showing now, so hopefully it gets a little bit bigger through the stretch.

Good evening gents, I'm Smeegol and I've had the pleasure of recently getting fully acquainted and upto date on this awsome tribute grow. Some of you I've had the pleasure of meeting already, if you haven't found me lurking in your gardens yet, rest assured I'm patiently trying to simplify my collection of gardens to be visited and those I've neglected.....lol

so today when I had the fortune of seeing my girls again ( they live on the farm, my boet grows too..)

Last time I saw them they were in solo cups and we transplanted them into a planter later that morning, but the interesting part is @flytier i believe explained a theory ( my apologies if I'm mistaken ) with those long diy root pruners he made is that " if an auto has longer tap root hence the longer container " it is possible to lengthen the veg time hence leading to " maby a bigger structure " and initiating flower cycle...

As an outsider to this grow, I have no obligations to anyone to score " brownie points " but 3 weeks ago when we transplanted our last 2 Haze2.0 autos dinafem into the planter I was shocked by how much they had spurted when I saw them today and having followed this grow it made about sense @flytier theory. Hope you don't mind me sharing a pic......

1st pic is the autos day of transplant against mesh wall

2nd pic is today, front row is OGK clones planted same day, started flowering cpl days later...

May you all have a wonderful evening and thanks for your time....
Actually I'm not sure if it affects the veg time of an auto. I'm using the airpots to prevent the plants from getting rootbound with the hopes of getting a bit better aboveground growth.

But hey, stick around, we're going to be doing more group grows if you're interested in joining in. I'm pushing for a bagseed grow grow for the next one and I think it's getting a bit of interest. Doing it like this is a good way of encouraging people to try different things and learn new procedures. I've been tinkering around trying different versions of tall pots and for the next one I'll find something else to try.

Those are some nice autos you have going there - I like your growing space. And you can't beat a nice Haze strain, that's for sure.

Pistils? Get that baby on a paint can closer to the lights! It's down in the dumps now :).

Looking great Fert!!

Caught up......woohoo! Now goodnight!

I think neem was. But that's about the only one I can think of.

But I mean, things like Bt were only discovered in the 20th century, but are pretty much completely biological ( or were ). So it really begins to beg the question of, "Just because it's organic, does that mean it's not poison."
Right if the poison is produced by a plant Or bacteria it's chill? Like NO! It's still effing poison.

morning all, sorry for dashing, but when electrical storms appear outa nowhere I run......lol
fried 4 wireless routers in 3 years.... @flytier i would enjoy the bagseed challenge when you guys decide to run it thank you kindly..
Hey not a problem. There's no plans made or anything yet, but keep tuning in. It's nothing formal, just everybody having fun and doing the grow.

No problem Guy; thanks for the stimulating conversation.
Always.....you know me too well. I gotta find someone to take care of my plants so that I can get back to the forum lol.

Hurry up and harvest those JHas so that i can participate already lol.

Hey, @Jackalope offered seeds up too for any upcoming challenges, he explained so nobody is out of pocket on seeds....awesome offer and another great idea for a challenge.

I can't wait to get this one over with, just because I feel sorry for my poor little plant. Fuck, it looks like something that grows out on a bog.

If you're talking about seeds for the bagseed grow, I have two lots I can offer up as well. I have plants growing fast from both lots now, so they're good.

So your new soil is working wonders for you?

I feel ya! My little JHa took a beating this grow. I finally put the last nail in her coffin with my 1st attempt with hempy...:rip:
Oh well. I'm not gonna let it get me down. I've got a bunch of healthy girls finishing out flowering to make room for this Bagseed (or whatever strain) grow y'all talking bout. Maybe I can actually get a bean in the soil around the same time..... Instead of months later like this try. LoL

If it's a group photo (get it? group photo? I crack myself up at this hour!) would we commit to a certain number of days in veg?

Oh yeah, the plain old soil is the way to go for inside. Here's a G-13 that I topped yesterday. It grew noticeably overnight

And the ATF started to pick up since I put them over

That's the way they should be growing.

Well, it was a little late, but after everything got done with the insulation, lighting (thanks again Jess), soil and airpots and stuff, it's about time something started to grow. That in itself has me relieved. I just gotta get a greenhouse or a bigger growroom on the go soon; I'm quickly running out of space. What a terrible problem to have, eh? I wasn't expecting the photos to start growing so fast.

Congrats flytie, you're starting to grow real plants! No more spogs® for you :).
I still want to find a nice small strain to cross with the ATF though. I'll try the Dwarf Low Flyer again now that I have stable conditions.
