It's gonna take a while with the Jack's

The Advanced seeds webpage says the following about their strain:

AUTO JACK HERER
Based on a careful selection of Jack Herer, one of the best genetics of all time, we started to make this new genetic. Like its predecessor its resin production is spectacular, from the beginning of flowering plant is covered with huge, bright triconas. Develops extraordinarily dense long buds. It has an aroma and taste of spices and woods, complex and nuanced. Without doubt one of the most powerful Auto available to growers, mental and exhilarating rush faster physically.

Genetic: Jack Herer
Yield: 350 - 400 g/m2
THC: 15%
Indoor height: 75 - 100 cm
Outdoor height: 90 - 150 cm
Indoor flowering period: 65 - 70 days


Some auto seed companies will state like "Harvest after 45 days from seed" while these say "Indoor flowering period" So I actually have to flower these auto's for just as long as a regular Jack? Holy fuck there will be a lot of watering. Considering to drip-feed them eventually. That would make it a whole less work.
 
I set up a pretty easy dripper with an old air pump I had lying around.. considering spending a few bucks though and getting an IV dripper from online so I can dial in the quantity.. the air pump dripper is measured in splutters . haha, I roughly calibrated over a few days with a timer to feed 500ml over 12hrs. Will pull it out when needed

Honestly man I used a pre made mix and added some live run oil to it. They are "grower strength" not for general population. My big secret is I cook them at 250f. It takes about a half hour instead of ten minutes but I find them far more potent. I also only use strong flavor cookies, like molasses or chocolate mint. Choc chip is my least favorite. Takes on too much weed taste, and the cookies usually turn green. Another fantastic option is raspberry squares! Just a store bought mix that I cook long and low and add some Cinnamon and sugar to. They are lethal man, gotta eat one and lock the rest up cuz they taste so good. Also my oil was fully decarbed before adding to the cookies. I love my edibles man! From cookies, dressings, dips, to wing sauce and chili. If I like the food I'll figure out how to add some herb!

Howdy all!

Woah sticky that's super low RH.. must be feeling pretty dry over there! Seems to be working anyways!! .

Anybody have their solo under 24/7 lighting at the moment? I move mine around, giving them some sun as well as LEDs.

Got up just before the sun this morning to pull up an Outdoor Autumn White Widow. Was looking for something to run from March - July next year, this will be the one for the garden! Awesome aroma, stays 1m tall and makes a nice few fat colas. Love the colours and a big fan of WW, can't wait to try my Aussie version! A few beans left of her, will clone a nice little army out of them.

Thanks buddy, I think I've read over a few of your recipes in another thread . I've never really cooked with cannabis, but I like to think I can cook.
Ended up using the oil tonight for me and the lady. Chicken, Chorizo, Bacon, sundried tomato, onions & mushroom with a creamy Sirarcha sauce, and of course, infused oil!

I planted 2 seeds today in small pots. Am I too late to join the party?
They are gonna be 2 auto Skunk no1 window grow .

Is great to see so many entrants!!
It seems we will have fast and slow autos, with varying harvest dates. Plant away and let this be an avenue too boast, question and admire one another's solo attempts ..
Sometime around Mid / End of August we will gather the finished / near finished plants in a single post and spend a few days voting for the best solo grow. (Rated By likes)

What's your climate like the next few months? From Germany? This set up will be perfect for a window grow, the pots are 18oz or less?

We have full on summer here , very hot . I'm thinking of mixing it with an led grow as the direct sunlight would only be for about 6 hours a day. Not enough. I could put them in my tent for another 10 hours.

Size i am not too sure about . I'll upload a pic ...

Welcome along buddy, I don't think we have too many Skunk autos running at the moment, will be great to see how they go.
What's your soil / medium made up of? Will you use any liquid nutrients?

I'm using light mix and will be using biobizz (organic) nutes in about 3 weeks I guess.
One girl I am going to top and the other just LST.

Nothing like an experiment ..
 
I think we should wait until all the plants are done. I mean - My Jack's will not be anywhere near finished in August.

Or maybe they do? I didn't really think much about it. Finding a calendar and counting to 70 :)
 
I wonder. When they say 70 something days flowering on their webpage. Do they mean from seed or from when you see the first pistils?
