Just an AK 4 update today...still some clear left but more amber. Weird thing is there are clear with amber tops!

Day 95:

she looks more then ready to me my friend ... remember amber means losing THC as it degrades into CBN causing brown coloration in the milky trichs

clear does not mean there is no THC in there .... amber does ... or at least less THC

what is it with cats and cannabis leaves ... this is not the first time i heard ppl complain about cats eating the leaves of their plants

Must be for fibre or something - maybe to help puke out hairballs that certain people step in at 6:00 AM when we - I mean they - are still trying to wake up.

Hmm...that's a good point! I could take her down now or take a nap...zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Nap wins every time :)

Luckily both me and my dog don't like cats, so they stay away from my yard! Bugs on the other hand...

Shit, I got a cat that chases dogs.

well i am biased as i have my own preferences just as you have yours ;)

Hey Pt, your point about ripeness is well taken. Just not enough time or warmth in the day to get it done. Won't be long for sure!

No, the pit bull he didn't go for. Kinda hid out.

Smart dog. Smart dogs chase cats until the cat is cornered or stops and turns to fight. At that point the smart dog backs down! Dumb dogs end up with shredded noses.

No no, the pit bull didn't hide; my cat did that time.

Oh sorry, read that wrong! Probably best for both of them :)

Yeah, upon rereading again it I see it was kind of ambiguous. In this particular case I'm sure it was better for my cat - his name is Spliff, FTR.

LOL to answer your questions on baking soda and salt buildup. It's insignificant based on the amount I use vs the amount that is used in the non-organic nutes like Tiger Bloom, etc.

When I need to adjust a liter because my source water is acidic (this is actually caused because I use Anion favored deionization resin in my RO)...I add the slightest dusting of baking soda per liter. It's basically a poof of dust, and I usually end up brushing the left overs in the sink.

I would guess I would possibly be using 1/8th-1/16 teaspoon over the life of the grow at an extreme max. that is 75-150mg of sodium. Less than 20ppm in 5gallons of soil assuming zero runoff. Most people don't have water that is honestly 0ppm. there is an argument that states that true 0ppm is difficult on plant roots without the addition of some types of minerals (I don't know if I believe that), I have no way of testing the salt content in liquids, but I do assume that tiger bloom adds more than 1ppm of sodium per feeding, because it's PPM is higher than that in 0ppm water.

If salt buildup is the problem, look at the nutes, not the baking soda.

I
1 bubble water, add non-organic nutes
2 add a dust of soda, test. Adjust if necessary, rarely necessary since always shooting for 7 with a liter
3 add any teas, big bloom, organic stuff that I know does not measurably jack with the pH.
4 water plant

Monday and they said it would rain today, so I took everything out of the shed to pull and tuck and take pics, and then put them back under the CFLs. Bright sunny skies now...it better damn rain :)

Family shot including the newly acquired and recently transplanted clone (details on the clone journal post #274 here). It sits just off to the side of the lights. Don't need it to grow much, just not flower!

And here is the SPOG® AK 4 on day 96. Pretty sure that I'm going to take this down tomorrow assuming everything else in my life cooperates!
