Grngirl's Hydro PC case grow... My first time!

if you keep peeking in their when it is dark you are going to screw it up.

I didn't think of that... :bigblush:
my bad. i was just excited to visit the plant and take a few pics.

the water level is good and all is good with the nutrients. I know this is a dumb question, but how important is it to change nutes from a veg to a flowering solution? I have everything for the different stages, but sometimes wonder if they just wanted my money when I bought two different nutrient packs.

Most people use different nutes when changing to flowering. If you have them, use them. ;-) I used Fox Farm Tiger Bloom for flowering, but I also added a little Grow Big (for veging) to the mix, too.

grngirl you will have to change nutes for flowering. In flowering the plants require different levels of NPK to promote bud formation. I use Dutchmaster Gold nutes and my growth rates are over the top. It was a shock to the pocket book $270 for the whole nine yards. But I have a big garden and 3 tanks to feed. Keep up the good work and remember help is but a click away.:grinjoint:

hey grngirl that little grow is awesome. Im always amazed at how fast the hydro setups grow.

If you ever consider upping the lights to a higher wattage this site has a grip of different cfls at decent prices:

2 to 200 Watt Compact Fluorescent Bulbs : 1000Bulbs.com

keep up the good work!

Its a pretty good idea to since the plants appetite during flower is competely different than in veg. They were not just trying to get your money ;)

I switch over veg to bloom as soon as the buds start to form, not when I switch to 12/12

Yeah, it's important to remember that the plants will still be using a lot of "vegetative stuff" in the first 40% of flowering while they are stretching. Some generalized flowering nutrients have these things in them but some of the more specialized ones don't.

hello all! Sorry about the slow update. I am having major camera issues... Here is what my baby looks like now:

I don't know what happened with that 2nd pic. I can't figure out if the yellow of the top leaves is bad. I'm hoping that it is just new growth and not a problem with my nutrients (which are now flowering nutes).

And on the last pic, is that a girl??? or am I looking at totally the wrong thing?

I don't see any signs of sexual maturity yet. Has it started growing branches in a staggered (not directly across from each other) layout yet?

Time for a little S&M. Tie that girl down lol. You don't have any headroom but that plant isn't taking up much side-to-side space. You can change all that by tying the tip over and down which will promote branching (and also help keep it from growing into the bulbs).

lol S&M! Haha thanks for the advice! I will tie it down today. I'm thinking of cutting some of the branches for clones because I'm out of seeds but want to keep a grow going. Is it too early to clone? I wanted to do a little pruning anyway to try and get a higher yield. I've searched this site pretty well and think I can get away with it without hurting my plant.

Could I possibly take clones from a hydro grow and plant them outside? I know I have to introduce the plants to natural sunlight slowly, but would it shock them too much to go from hydro to soil?
