GrizzWalds - Aussie Indoor/Outdoor - Choose Your Own Adventure

ajagunle, did you read that story about origin of dinkum? That sums up being an Aussie right there. I love this place. fair drinking for starters, you serious, but then those who mispronounce it, we copy hanging shit only for us to forget the joke and just adopt it as our own..

photos... Ah man that's the problem with checking on phone at lunchtime, I didn't even realise you that said that   of course she did

I've wasted $10 on a hell of a lot less.. Thanks captain.. I'll get onto it.. Hope your well mate, not working to hard..

ain't touching that one cuz! I mean I've never heard that before....just saying'....

Your not the only one that's never heard that before bro :rofl: If there was a women around, I can't hear her saying that :rofl:

How that, double laughs line up.. Well on the phone they do..

Thanks Black Thumbs (still makes me laugh) nothing's near me man, lol, good to know where to get it, thanks.. I went to Bunnings yesterday, they sell Eco-neem. It's sitting on my bench until I look on Internet and research.. Just got traps. Lots of adults walking through perlite. I put potato slices but that did nothing, literally nothing on there, they said be prepaired to be shocked. And I was  I haven't watered yet, 7 days I think. I'll continue drying and see which approach I'll take.. Ordering over Internet takes a week for stuff to get here but won't be able to get anything until weekend, then that's if daughter will allow the long drive, I hate doing it to her, I remember what it was like when I was a kid, she has to travel even further, 3hour round trip, 5 if we go to city, that's just in the car..

Hey Grizz! :ciao:

I don't know how old your daughter is, but kids love, surprises, adventure, being made to feel important and involved by being given tasks that are important to the 'family' outcome. I started driving long distances (London to France, The Netherlands, Germany) with my daughter when she was just 3. She was told she was the co-pilot and navigator. Even though this was before gps, she had her map and her pens, and even though I already had my route very well planned, up till today (and she will be 22 in 3 weeks) she still thinks her concentration and efforts are what got us round Europe so many times; with the added advantage that she is now a super navigator and map reader, which presumably women are supposed to be weak at. Music and CDs were chosen with her interests and age group in mind. Spelling games, loud raucous singalongs, guess the capital city (if she is old enough) I spy, spot that car and model bingo, driving long distances with ones child is a brilliant way to bond and build lifelong rapport (cos they remember)

If a long road trip means sitting there bored, having to listen to daddy's music, answer questions about how school is going, well would you find it fun? When I asked my daughter why she remembered our epic drives so fondly, she said it was just two of us and she felt she always had my full attention.

Loads of mummy websites with brilliant ideas of things to do and what to pack that will make the 6 hours fly by and be really fun.

A few ideas to chew on....go Dad!:cheertwo:

Lol so true bapple . I can give my son a toilet roll and he's entertained for hours . Makes it a megaphone drives me nuts or binoculars . I suppose the Spider-Man suit helps

Thanks Bapple.. 4 years old.. Given me some good ideas.. We do the songs, put innocent naughty words in that we enjoy; "ants go marching 3by 3 little one stops cause he needs a wee..... ete etc, ahh dads funny.. She's got a steering wheel, I get her to do a bit of the driving.. I think maps and her getting us there will be good. She's so sensitive though, if I pretended to get lost she would feel like it was all her fault. I've got a poor sense of humour and have to watch it at times... I will say though, this is not a cop out, I bloody try, but women are better at it, can continue it longer, in that type of environment. Get us into a park/on the beach, that's where I shine more with her, outdoors.. I'm excited by the maps, I think she'll really take to that. She thinks she's really smart, cause I tell her all day, so this will be good.. I'm just thinking about her, she's so beautiful.. I've taught her an old rap song called ladidadi, radio friendly version, lol, but there's a line where he says, I put on my brand new Gucci underwear. She gets this smile like she's being naughty, puts hand close to her mouth as she says the line, cutiest thing ever.. It be a YouTube hit, that type of cute.. Anyways, thanks, I've got to get more child travel friendly...

Hey 777hrd, took me a couple of birthdays and Christmas to realise the box was the present. So buy a box and they quickly grow to want what's in the box :rofl:

Yeah I know grizz . They love the wrapping paper or the box better then the present . My son was in the backyard one day with his spider man suit on and the police pull a guy over in front of our house . My son seen the officer writing a ticket out . Ran up and said Hey police man ,I want to be a police man when I grow up only at day time cause at night IM SPIDER MAN and ran away pretending to scoot away like spider man shooting webs lol

Was going to do an update but I'll give group shot, not up for downloading at the moment..
Bigger pots.. Bubba kush and sour diesel.. Small pots left to right; grizzly purple kush, veneno, sour diesel. Sour d seedling is in coir.. I've got enough nutes to get one plant through, I think. With being first soil grow indoors and with the gnats, coir will give me a certain harvest, as long as I'm finishing the nutes on a girl, lol

Thanks Grizz, yes I did, the whole piece was a good read, loved the lengthy explanation of how it might have come from the Chinese and then a short 'but that can't be true'
