GrizzWalds - Aussie Indoor/Outdoor - Choose Your Own Adventure

Thanks bigbuds, I know what I have to do now...

Heirloom, brother... Winter has come, it's all about the TV and couch.. The outdoor girl well and truely exceeded any expectations anyone had, myself included... Got the indoor girls in an organic soil now, I'm not sure how long it will last, soil has more gnats than a gnat farm... Hey man, awesome in the fem seed experiment, you may have changed the way a lot of folks do their pollen making... Mate, it's great to see you, truely man... I'll send a p/m with some personals on it, no pressure to reply....

Damn gnats. Can you layer sand or rock dust on the surface to make it hard for them to penetrate? That's a trick from Robert Celt. Gotta get them under control first though.

Making fem seeds feels good. Too bad I missed most of it, lol. In truth all I did was mix the sts and leave notes on my plan that a grower would understand. The 'foster' grower did the rest while I was checked out, or in...both as it were.

Got the PM. Thanks man.

:high-five:

Thanks Heirloom, I'll be doing everything everybody's suggested.. Actually I think from what you jandre and bigbuds have suggested, I have every stage covered now... Thanks...

Hoz, you been busy mate? All is just continuing here.. I've got couple girls going at the moment and 3 seedlings, we'll see, gnats aren't fun to see in the grow....

Hey photo's, welcome man..Love some diarrhoea in a bottle (thanks doc green for that description, lol) .. You an Aussie?

Grizz - only thing i use now is Eco Neem - sticky traps were not doing much and after a sprinkle of DE covering entire surface area Gnats were just walking through it and of course if you use too much DE in the pot you will have problems. Only used the EN when first cleaning, draining, flushing Coco and just once during the Veg cycle.Have a spray bottle for the little white things i was telling you about. At watering time i saw 1 or 2 crawling up inside of pot and EN killed them:thumb:.

Bigbuds, Eco-neem is only registered for use on ornamentals in Australia but for food crops overseas.. Make sure it's the same ingredients used in the Australian sold one and that we aren't adding something else...

 well an Aussie grower would grow some monsters I'd imagine:rofl: love to see any if you had a grow going.. Just a feeling I had, wish I could harness it to make money

Grizz, little B*astards, I get infested indoors every Autumn, suggest a 4 pronged attack,

1. Root Drench, Canadian Express Tanlin is the most effective I have used and it gives me a great deal of pleasure to think that the larva digest what is in effect a tiny crystal of Silica Gel that then absorbs all their internal juices and expands assively until they split asunder. Cuts off one end of the life chain.
2. Layer of vermiculite, I put about ½ inch thick layer on top of kitchen towel. Stops new 'eggs' being laidd.
3. Pyrethrum spray of the grow room, the top of the compost and all of the plant, it is OK to spray directly onto fruit etc the day before harvest, yours are still in veg though right?
4. Cover any stored compost of any kind, stop them breeding unnoticed!

Shock and awe is the only approach I think :rip:

:thumb:

I get the slang except for Dinkum, where's that come from?

Hey Grizz, I have a damn fine book I go to a lot, Marijuana Garden Saver-Handbook for healthy plants, has pest section as well as nutrients with good problem solvers. Authors: J.C. Stick & Ed Rosenthal Can't tell you how many times I refer to it on my iPad, purchased through Kindle because pics work better there than with my nook app

FYI Brother

check my outdoor girls they going in the holes tom, but jumping to God's Light the past week!

Thanks mate.. Il be over soon.. Man I've been looking forward to this time of year for you... I got this book
image37059.jpg

I never read it, forget I have it..Ex brought it for me 7 months before she left. "Grow some better herb if you want me to hang around" I think she said. I should have read it... Nah she didn't touch it, lol she did buy that book though, month before leaving ( joke works better at 7 months )
Hey Grizz! Howdy-do to you. :)

Did you get my last email to you?

Hope you are doing well, and not painting in the rain. Tends to drip a bit, I hear.

:circle-of-love:
Depends on the effect we are going for canna. My rain splattered wall are quite popular around here at this time of year :rofl: not the best time to be a painter or working outside.. I get five hours at most outdoors. It's wet in mornings then finish early otherwise the paint won't dry. Why so many hours are worked over summer. I need to learn not to spend so much at the same time, lol.. :thumb:

How do you make photos smaller, that's ridiculous...
