I wouldn't mind taking a trip down to Cali tho and have a taste of some of the medical shit going around and all these crazy ass strains i hear about.

I'm hoping that i can really make that name stand out with my current grows that are shaping up right now. With everything that i learned this last grow, and all the helpful advice from people like TheCapn and KingJohnC, my plants should take over my apartment in no time!!

honestly i think the key is proper air temperature and optimal water temps (if you grow in hydroponics like me) Actually fuck, i lied. Optimal water temps dont actually hinder the growth of my plants. I mentioned in someones journal about dissolved oxygen levels being impossible to raise with higher water temps, but as long as i've been using aquashield, water temps have been NO issue!

I've had my water temps in the Widow bucket hit OVER 28 degrees the other day before res change.. Checked the roots... Other than the normal staining from my Subculture-M Mycorrhizae (which is a black powdered, water soluble fungi supplement) my roots are nice and white and healthy. No funny smell of root rot, and no visible affect of the higher water temps. I had a MAg deficiency, but i've added a healthy dose of Cal/Mag last water change. Cant wait to get that widow into flower and remodel my bathroom/veg area!


I'm going to break down how GreenThumb is going to do his upcoming journals:

Journal #1:
The Sponsored LED journal will be all by itself in the 4x4 tent and i will grow the 4x BC SweetTooth

Journal #2:
So my new revised plan.. Seedlings from my seeds made from last grow will stay in the growbox. means i will have to take them out of the 4" square pots and into the 3" net pots. Theres currently 6 Self Pollinated GWS (GWS-sp) and 3 GWSxWW. I will keep the best 3 GWS-sp and flower out the seedlings providing they are females. The clones will actually go into veg in the bathroom once the large widow plant is taken out of there and put into flower. They will veg until either large enough to go into flower, or the flower room is empty. Since i wont have a second large plant to put into flower, i will use both 600w lights tilted at an angle towards the canopy of the Widow plant to grow this baby. I'm hoping the extra wattage will bulk her up and get those colas super frosty!!

Im just waiting for the day my Aquashield shows up!! my plants will be SOOO happy! this last month i was running out of shit, and just didn't have the money to replace stuff. Like aquashield, Gen Hydro's Rapid Start and Pure Blend Pro Compost tea from Botanicare. My plants loved that shit, and then i ran out and they weren't as strong and able to deal with the shitty growing conditions the summer has brought us!! But i'm about to get all my shit on lockdown!!

AC unit, water chiller, Aquashield and 2 large ass tents to grow big ass M-F'ing plants! Bring on Plant of the Month!!

I guess this journal will no longer be called White Widow Clone Run.. but more like Created Seed Excursion!! Expedition? ADventure? i duno but it will be a fun trip tho!!

I want to grow this White Widow in a large enough space to give it the room it deserves. Clones in that box would be great if i didn't want to grow this Widow properly. The seedlings i sprouted from the seeds i made will be perfect to run in the box.. veg them for a month or so then put them into flower so they dont get too tall and grow into the glass like last grow. I also think that all clones taken from the new strains i bought will also be flowered out in the big grow spaces, so i can maximize my yields. Maybe i will run a few in the box just to offset the harvest and keep the extra additions to the medicine jars

i was watching some sick videos on RDWC's last night and i was like damn, i should really build an RDWC for the LED tent.. That would be fucking KILLER!! Then i remembered you said that the other day.. So.. lets do it? i then got to thinking that a RDWC might be too small for the LED tent which is 4x4. i mean i could for sure get a 4 bucket system in there with the Res bucket outside the tent, but i would have no room to move around the perimeter of the plants. Actually, fuck, thinking about this RDWC and the space limitations i have in the 4x4 tent, the 4 plants might be too much to grow in that tent. 2 would probably be perfect, but i dont want to grow the THC bomb, GSC or the OG kush under the LED.. i want those particular strains under the 600w light. I actually want the SweetTooth under the 600w light, cause it will help it ripen faster i'm almost certain and definitely keep the 6-7 week flower time in check. Hopefully it clones easily, cause if it finishes in close to the time stated, this is going to be a wicked production plant. that just leaves me with growing the Widow clones under the LED, or Popping some more feminized GWS beans i have from my first seed order.

I seriously cant decide what to do!! i have so many bloody options that all sound like a lot of fun to do, but i just cant decide on which route to go. i could pop a GWS bean and do it under the LED with many training techniques. Top, bend, LST, flux.. Could throw the clones in there and let em go.

I think the SweetTooth is my best bet tho. its a quick flowering plant that tastes great and Lady GT needs to see some plants growing i think in order to calm down. I think her issue is she sees all the shit we bought recently, and sees no big tent set up. Doesn't see any plants growing in the tents. She just sees it all sitting around not doing anything. And for the most part, shes right. The big tent and the cooltubes are all still in box and shit. I haven't bothered setting it up yet cause i dont know when i'm getting my fans and filters! When i have that information, i will get to setting it up. I'm getting impatient and will be ordering my inline fans online very soon if the place i'm trying to get them from doesn't come thru. I'd go with the local hydro shop, but they're so overpriced on most things i can order on the internet, pay shipping and still pay less than the hydro guys charge me. only difference is i get people to talk to and offer advice while i'm in store. they're pretty good guys there, but damn it hurts my wallet visiting them!!

anyways, not much to report today. Just trying to devise a master plan, cause my mind is so full of ideas i cant settle on a way to go with this growing thing!!

What we need to be carful of in the RDWC is making sure that the containers we are growing in are big enough to support a ton of roots. Im going with the 28 gallon buckets. ( Not all the way full ) So the total gallons in my system will be 20 in each bucket, 10-15 in the res and another gallon or 2 in the feed lines. So right around 55-60 gallons. Shit, that means I need 3 times the amount of nutes......


I dont have a local Hydro shop which is probly a good thing. I would be there everyday buying over priced supplies. Plus they would prob be suspicious of someone spending thousands to grow tomatoes....

I was deterred from Hygro's video cause it was over 90 mins long!

I was looking at Medgrower1 on YT, and he built a 4 bucket RDWC using 5gal buckets from Lowes and an air and water pump. Strong under current and a waterfall pouring water into each bucket adding extra aeration. It was a super inexpensive system and worked wonders!

How many THC bomb seeds do you have? I would totally do a 2 plant system in the tent. I think that's the perfect amount of plants for that tent.

28 gal? wtf that's almost 6 times bigger than a 5gal bucket.. I think a container that big is unnecessary and will take up and ridiculous amount of space.

What does a 28 gal bucket look like? A Rubbermain tote?

Oh the plant is not only Lady GreenThumb's, but shes growing it from seed to smoke. I will guide her along the way, but i'm going to have her do everything for the most part. I'll do the heavy bucket lifting and such, but she's going to be responsible for the res changes and when she does them (she will probably sync her res change days with mine so I can carry the 5gal bucket of water haha) as well as any light defoliation that is required along the way.

I'll germinate the seeds, and then she can take it from a seedling.

Jesus! i need another light for the monster tent i just realized. I have the Widow plant in my bathroom that is going to take up one 600w light. And then Cannabis 1 and myself are going to do a Side-by-Side THC bomb grow under 2 600w lights. So i'm thinking the big Widow might get her own light in the 1000w area haha off to the side of the tent.

Today, i buy my AC!! i'm so excited, Lady GreenThumb is excited and i'm sure the lazy pug will be sprawled out right in front of it all the time

Its still in the development stage as i configure the fan/filter and how i'm going to raise the LED up and down etc. but heres a few pictures of my progress thus far for the new journal.

First i'm going to start with my hydro store purchases. These purchases, including my Aquashield that i ordered online, round out my nutrient line up for the next 2 grows at least.

And the Rockwool cubes, a 6cu. ft box. Rockwool for everyone!

Okay so i have some semi bad news.

Went to Home Deport today, actually like an hour ago and they are sold out of AC's for the summer season.. wtf summer is barely half over!!

oh well looks like I'll be ordering off of Scamazon for my AC. Which is no big deal cause i can find one for cheaper, and a lot of Amazon's deals come with free shipping, i just have to wait a couple extra days now.

with the money i'll possibly save, i can use it for the sushi dinner Lady GreenThumb and i are having right now! Yum!

Anyways, now its time to find me a good AC unit. Also my Aquashield will arrive this week coming up too! Everything is slowly coming together.




Hey C1.. while i was at Home Deportation lol, i was looking at the 26gal Rubbermaid trash bins.. i'm assuming these are similar to the 28gal ones you were talking about, but the height was actually not too bad on the bin i was looking at. Would be waaaaaay too sick to build a RDWC with those things!

actually it was the Lady that pointed the trash bins out and said how awesome it would be to grow a plant in those. I agree, but it wouldn't be much of a tall plant because of the head space that i have in the tent combined with the height of the trash bin.. i would have to top and bend the plant and put it under a 5x5 scrog to keep it at a safe distance from the HPS.

Okay folks, i have gotten around to finally putting the Monster Tent together!, i'm about 1/3 done right now. I have the bottom frame all attached with the tent bottom already in place.

Once the top piece is on, i will pull the top of the tent over and zip up the sides and shes done..

I know its only the bottom half, but its gives a perfect idea of just how much space i'm going to have to work with!

2 tents, 1 grow box and my bathroom running the veg cycle. I think GreenThumb J is ready for a Plant to come down every 3-4 weeks. Time to get the grow cycle going!!

Literally, over half my apartment is a grow op! But you walk into my apartment and you couldn't tell at all! With the spare bedroom door closes and my bathroom door closed, you'd have no idea i have over 100sq.ft. of growing space sort of in use or available to use.
