Greenlizard Still Growing, Fresh Clones, CMH, 4X8, Multiple Methods Tested

I removed everything except for the last 3 or 4 nodes on the tops of each branch about one week before flower.
Prior to that I selected what branches I wanted to keep and what ones I wanted to prune away throughout the veg.
I wouldn't get cutting too much now that your in flower. The bottom larf maybe but I would be cautious.
damn...just read your note. i was outside this morning from a bit more haircutting...hope i didn't get carried away.

Update.
So I up potted the 6 clones I will be growing and I rotated the flowering plants. I intended to remove the fan leaves that were blocking other tops but I got carried away a little. I ended up defoliating. With my humidity being a bit high for flower I have lots of fans running for airflow. I suppose I will have less chance of mold now with the canopy opened up so that's a positive.

7 weeks today since 12/12.
Hurricane Dorian hit us here in Nova Scotia and thousands are still without power. I am very lucky. Only lost power for 16 hours. Left the tent open and the curtains so natural daylight would keep everything within it's cycle. Took all the clones upstairs and put them on window sills till the power came back on. All seems well.
I hope any of you who were also affected by Dorian are safe and your plants as well.
I can't help but think of all the outdoor grows that got damaged or ruined this close to harvest. Also all the indoor growers who are struggling with no power. Best of luck to everyone affected.

Started noticing a little fox tailing on my purple kush. This is my 3rd round with this pheno and it has foxtailed every grow so far. I raised the lights a little to see if that helps but from what I can tell it's genetics and not light stress. No big deal... just makes more bud.

I decided to try quadlining. Most quadlining I have seen is done with seedlings but I don't see why I can't try it with clones. Just a little more space between nodes is the only difference I can see so far. Not to mention that quadlining was an afterthought and I hacked off the top half of the plants above the 4th node to start the shaping.

Clones got their first full feeding last night.

Looking real good in there Greenlizard! :high-five: All your plants are looking healthy and those nugs are looking great in the flower tent!

Well it's been a little while since my last update.
We are into week 8 since 12/12. Starting the flush tomorrow I think.
I Just potted two more Trainwreck clones tonight. So now I'm going with 8 plants. I still got a bunch of extra clones so I was lucky enough to have the option at this point.

My purple Kush had it's leaves claw a few days ago. I ruled out over watering. Then thought maybe nitrogen toxicity from pushing the nuts hard this whole grow. So I did a flush of about 2.5 X the pot volume. I know this isn't a big flush but I figured it couldn't hurt. I have fed two feedings since this. I'm starting to think it's just the plant getting to the end of it's life cycle and the clawing isn't repairable. Regardless, at this stage of flower I'm not very worried.

Greenlizard,
looking pretty plush with those flowers. still a lot of white pistils pushing out filling in all the spots. exciting times...

Yeah that Purple Kush pheno loves throwing new pistols late in flower. Did it 3 grows in a row now. I see it as being genetic foxtailing. I'd rather harder nugs but these big colas will hold some weight I'm sure. I thought about leaving the Purple Kush go a little longer but after 2 weeks of flush they will be 10 weeks into 12/12. I might push them another week depending on how they look as we approach October.

Well I'm not flushing yet. I want to push this Purple Kush further. I think the Trainwreck can hold out a bit longer too due to it's Sativa side of the family. I will consider starting the flush next weekend depending on how the trichomes look.

Well I did it. I flushed them with about 4 times their pot volume. Then I did a full feed at the end with PH 6.1
I have been reading some very, very, conflicting posts here this past month regarding flushing. It appears that there is a method gaining steam where you flush them out real good then feed hard right till chop. I'm very sceptical of this but you never know until you try it for yourself. I have read that Monster cropping is good and now that I tried it myself I know it's not the method for me but now I know. I have not completely made up my mind yet as to what method I will use. I hate to see a nice crop go to shit due to harsh smoke from an improper flush. I might give straight water to them and flush properly yet... haven't made up my mind.

hey Greenlizard,
i've been strolling through all kinds of posts and threads that talk about flushing vs. not flushing. there's probably an equal amount of literature on either side of the fence. i'm sticking to what i know vs. what i don't know but am reading about. i began flushing two of the ladies this morning (Alice and Bertha). they are much closer to finishing so i feel i'm in the final stages (i'm really hoping for the full moon in 2 weeks) . Pistils are just beginning to go amber near the top of the plants. i'm waiting for my magnifying loop to show up so i can start looking into the state of trichomes. we had a good frost last night, but my girls were sleeping over in the basement. i agree with you...wouldn't want to screw up a whole bunch of medicine by being greedy and over feeding. the extra ganja wouldn't add up to much in terms of total weight anyway, so we might as well enjoy the quality...hope you are doing just fine...

Yesterday was day 75 of 12/12.
TIMBER!!!

So the Trainwreck had about 4% amber and we harvested them yesterday.
The Purple Kush has at least another week to go. Still no sign of amber but all cloudy.

I didn't get an actual weight on the fresh cut but I will report the weight once dried. We are very pleased with the density and weight as it is though. No loose buds to dry on racks this time. All on the stem.
