I pulled from the final trim before flip. Usually get your biggest, healthiest IMO.One thing I will be showing this weekend in my journal is how most of my Purple Kush clones went into flower after being cut. I put them under 18/6 from the day they were cut but they continued to go into flower. They are now in that ugly stage of re-vegging. I took these clones about 5 days after switching to 12/12 because I had heard a few people on her saying that the best time to take clones is a week or 10 days into 12/12. I will tell you this... No. Don't do that lol.
As the title of the journal describes "multiple methods tested". This method was not productive and has set half of my clones back quite a bit compared to some that were not effected. Perhaps the clones taken lower on the plant were less likely to continue into flower? Regardless I will never take clones after switching to 12/12 again. Luckily I have plenty of clones that didn't do this for my next grow. I took extra clones for friends that will have to wait. I never let a clone leave my house unless it looks excellent.

By far my biggest helper... it’s a must have.Makes life easier doesn't it. Crawling around watering with a cup is a pain in the ass, and the back. Irrigation is the way to go.
That's what I have done in the past as well but I have heard so much about cloning into early flower that I wanted to try it. Back to taking my clones the day before switching to 12/12.I pulled from the final trim before flip. Usually get your biggest, healthiest IMO.
looking fine Greenlizard,
that stem looks sturdy and no sign of being soft from overwatering at soil level. i see you've removed most of the growth along the lowest branches. do you allow any of the nodal growth along branches or remove all growth at nodes along branches? when did you remove this growth? (before flowering began, or after?)
beauty, thanks for the response. i've read that it is best to avoid the pruning or removal of branches during the early stages of flowering which is where i'd classify my ladies. i'm of 2 minds...just buck the small whispy looking branches now and avoid wasting the plant's photosynthates into any flower production on these branches (because it would be minimal at best) or just let the ladies go buck wild and let the THC fall where it may...even if i ended up with 2 ounces of shrapnel, it would still make for some baking/edible opportunities. seems like most experienced growers here choose to start manicuring the ladies well ahead of where i am now which makes this whole situation avoidable. i think i'll take a close look tonight at all the growth and make some choices on where to lean out. i've heard other say they leave the top 3 or 4 nodes of each branch and remove all else. decisions, decisions...
