i have 1 gal bubble bags. they are just too much work for the amount you get out of it. I so regret not getting the 5 gal bags instead. i think they would make it much wore worthwhile. nice guide. +rep if i can

WOW! I feel sooo loved! Thank you for all the nice words everyone, I always appreciate nice comments...hell I appreciate not nice comments too... but nice ones ARE better. I had no idea that Pitviper was posting a hash technique at the same time as me, lol, totally crazy! I just got back from a weekend away and saw his video that he posted. And then came here and saw everyones great words! Thank you ver much once again. I will be starting the new jouranl today or tommarrow. I will link it to my signature and call it greenislands grow journal 09' #2. Also I will add a picture to this journal of the finished "black full melt bubble hash thats the finished "cred" product from the above "TEK" just so everyone can see how black and gooy it gets once it looses all the water. It looks completally different than it does in these pics. Later everyone and dont forget to peep my new journal when it get up!

Ok guys. Heres my final edition to this journal. Ill still answer all questions or comments so by no means stop that, Im just saying I wont be putting up any more updates because the grow is over and all jarred up! But here is some pics of the bubble in its transformations. You can see that it starts out very light in color then as time goes by and the resin melts together it turns darker and darker until it looks like shiny black tar. When it gets as black as it is in the picture below its really nice pure full melt bubble. Before that time its still bubble hash it just has water in it and it wont bubble quite as easily. The light brown ball attatched to the really aged Black peice of bubble hash is a ball of regular screen hash that I throw in there with the black ball of bubble so I have somewhere to hold it when I want to smoke some. Otherwise as soon as you touch that stuff it melts and sticks to your hand so its nice to have a kind of handle to hold onto so this doesnt happen, and thats what the other ball of less pure hash is doing there. Also when it gets about 2 weeks old and starts really going black you will want to leave it in the fridge or freezer probably because if left out in room temperature it will melt and stick to everything. But when its cold it doesnt stick to things nearly as bad. Hope you enjoyed the journal and the bubble hash tek. PS: To the best of my knowledge this black bubble hash is far superior to almost any other hash out there. It truly is very very potent. And only a little is needed to subside the pain or get you high,or whatever your preferance is.
This first pic shows the transformation. The first pic is an earlier pic of the bubble hash right after making. The next picture shows that same ball about 5 days later. and next to that ball is a peice of bubble hash from last grow and is about 5 months old...so its very pure and not much water is in it, also all the resins have melted together. Its a much smaller amount than the ball I just made. Dont think that this picture means its going to shrink that much because it wont, its just that thats the only peace of cured bubble I had left. Enjoy!
And heres a peice of cured Blue Cheese. Its just an incredible incredible strain. So far its the best pot I have ever had the pleasure to smoke. And that says a lot for Blue Cheese as far as Im concerned. It doesnt look really pretty but it smells and smokes VERY pretty. lol.
And here in these pictures Im demonstrating the "see through-ness" of the bubble hash (even though its very black in color its kinda see through...kinda weird) as well as how it melts and "bubbles" as it should under heat/flame etc.
Ok guys..Im starting my new journal today so like I said this is my last update to this journal however by no means does that mean it has to die so dont hessitate to ask questions or post comments. I will be answering any and all comments as usual, just wont be posting any more pics unless there asked for. Thank you to Everyone for making this Journal a success. Just a quick summary before I finish here.
8 plants total- 3-Blue Cheese, 2-Nosebleed, 3-T2
Total weight-2lbs 2 ounces (dried)
Breakdown wieghts- Blue Cheese-8ozs (2.33oz per plant), Nosebleed-10ozs ( 5oz per plant), T2-16ozs (5.33ozs per plant)
Veg time- 6 weeks (longer than shouldve been)
Bloom time- Nosebleed-7 weeks, T2 and Blue Cheese 8-9 weeks (1.5 week flush for NB, 2.5wk flush for BC and T2)
Finished height- 4.5 ft to 5.5 ft (too tall)
Overall efficiency- .53 grams per watt (room for improvement bud not bad)
Overall garden score- B-
Once again hope everyone liked my Journal. I had soo much fun this go around and I love the audience. Thanks again everyone.

Yeah this is my old journal, also my first journal ever, I learned a lot from this journal. This journal is also the thing that got me interested in the TEKs to teach others to succeed in the things I have found to work well, ie: bubble hash TEK, 5 gallon ebb and gro DIY TEK,. I plan on adding many many more TEKS over the years too. And yeah Bayarea I am particularly proud of that quote in my signature because it just came to me one day and in it went in my signature! The other quote I used to have in my signature was from an old hippie guy I used to hang out with, her was a carpenter and smoked of course....he used to always say "for every new law they make, they should have to take one away!" and Ive always thought that it was very, ummm, I guess cool. I dont necessarily agree entirely but, in the principle of it I do, and it makes a lot of sense to me! Just thought In would throw that out there since we were talking about quotes, lol. Glad you got a chance to check out my old journal!

I have the quantum 600 watt and it does make some noise from the fans when at 100 %. Not an issue in my use but I don't think anyone can be guaranteed it will be quiet. The unit has worked well though.

I dont remember hearing anything in my room but the room has many other noises like the maxfan and the pumps. I would say that its probably quiter than any magnetic core Ive used, and now that I think about it even my 1000watt lumateks make a slight noise and they have no fans or anything. Did I say they were silent or something a while back Munki? Your right though, they do make a very slight sound from the fan, atleast when its on, which im pretty sure they cycle as needed and dont run constantly..atleast with the quantum 600, Im unsure of the 1000. If I did say they were silent I should have said they were near silent, so if I doid say that at some point I was probably comparing the sound to other ballasts ive had. So sorry if I mislead you munki, or anyone else for that matter. lol, I havent been back to this journal for a minute! lol
I think I did a search of the 420 forums for "Quantum" and found a post in here where you stated that. Probably from a while back and someone was interested in getting one but needed it to be silent. I think it was Drojo but I'm no longer sure. So the comment was mainly for those thinking of buying one but would be disappointed if it made noise.
Excellent job on this grow again GI. You contributions to our community are substantial, informative, and even occasionally "stimulating"

Thanks GI for that really swell info on how to make hash.. I might have to try it when my grow is completed. One question though. Do you use the leaves or just small buds or a combination of both. Sorry for the dumb ???.

Theres no such thing as a dumb question here my man. I personally dont use the fan leaves but I do use the small leaves with trichomes and I also use the smaller buds that are thin and on thge bottom of the plant. You can smoke those small nugs but I like to use it for bubble hash instead. When you use the small nugs they will give you the best bubble. Hope that helps!
