Yep i use canna and that boost no matter what people say is some good stuff! EXpensive but i reckon so worth it!!

Yeah, its not cheap stuff! I'm pretty confident it works, but I've got no evidence of the difference it truly makes. It's a bit of a leap of faith really. It does turn your solution a little bit green though so it does at least look like it does something. When you add something pricey to water you really do need to see some difference, even if its just in the colour of the water. Can't be doing with no hydroponic homeopathy

When i flush with the double strength of boost on my plants striaght away i see new pistels being thrown out of the buds. Without it i see nothing? My observations.

And you'd recommend flushing with double strength boost? I hadn't thought of that but it makes perfect sense - give an extra boost to the plant's metabolism as the nutrients become more scarce. She'll clear residual nutes quicker and stress more, which is possibly why you've noticed all the new pistils, as she makes a desperate last ditched effort to get pollinated.

If you go to my journal and have a lok at the reject plant i just harvested you can see white hairs popping out of it all over the place. These were not there until i started flushing the plant. I believe your hypothesis is spot on and my observations would certainly suggest that you are correct. I also find flavour is much improved by flushing doouble strength for up to 2 weeks.

So, Friday the light went out for 24h and she's now on 12/12 as of Saturday evening. EC has been increased to 1.5 of the Vega nutes and Boost has been added.

Not a lot to report as I only updated a couple of days ago but I was a bit bored and grumpy! I think it's a combination of running out of weed (I smoked the last spliff from the AutoBomb grow on Sunday) and giving up smoking at Christmas. Well, when I say I gave up smoking my wife got me an electronic cigarette for Christmas which has been fantastic and I've not had a cigarette since Christmas morning. I was still smoking spliffs up until Sunday though so I hadn't completely cut out tobacco (or remotely given up smoking technically!) but after being 20-30 a day for 15 years I thought I was doing quite well. I think the combined effect of running out of weed and now also not getting 4-5 cigarettes-worth of tobacco a day in the joints has hit home and turned me into an irritable bastard!!
Anyway, she's started to stretch and seems to be handling the increased nutes after upping it from 1.3 to 1.5. The pH is dropping and the EC is climbing a bit so the solution is a little hot but I'm sure this will settle down quite quickly as her growth accelerates over the next few days.
The underneath is a little untidy but I'm leaving this until stretch is over and then will have a clear out
We'll see how it fills the screen. I think the majority will be ok (minus the very last l & r rows), but the front left is looking a bit thin. I think this is the light distribution from the cfl. Even though I'm reversing the light every week the growth is still a bit uneven. The front left does get the fuller light distribution this week so you never know, she may catch up

Thanks mate. I was checking out the Fero website - I see you're represented!
I'm definitely swaying towards them when I upgrade (definitely need more even light distribution). I'm torn at the moment between the
A60 and the A90. I'm tempted to go with the bigger one but it's going to be a few months anyway before I can upgrade.
Originally I'd been set on a Sonlight (more to do with marketing I think). They make a big thing about the benefit of 1w diodes because more diodes gives more even light distribution. It's interesting what you and Fero say about 3w being better in terms of light penetration. It makes perfect sense - 3w will penetrate further than 1w. More 1w might give a more even light distribution but the difference is probably negligible at 20-odd inches.
And seeing as I can also watch your grow with Fero's and see the results it's a no-brainer!

Cheers mate! It should start getting a bit more exciting soon; I can't wait for flowers.... it seems like I've been vegging foreeeeever! You suddenly realise how fast autos are; 2oz seed to harvest in 75 days or so. I think we're around day 75 now for this one, something like that!

Yeah; you're on their website mate - in the vids and pics section there's link to your journal, and I'm sure I came across one of your vids somewhere on the site - I couldn't get it to work on my ipad (I think it was in flash or something on the website) so I just saw a still from the vid but the scrog frame and set-up looked a lot like yours.
