ya nep jam was the first (cannabis) thing i ever grew. started w 7 regs got 4 ladies. vegged them outside and finished led. they were a pleasure to learn with. ended up real pretty, strawberryish fragrant buds. not a super potent jawn but elegante. i got a pic somewhere.

LOL, grass is greener. I LOVE your spread. We need good ol' Tennessee to face up, and convert all that illicit revenue into taxable revenue by legalizing, and the Mrs and I would pack up and move into those pretty mountains in a flash. I really like the Smokeys - always have.

That's certainly the one that caught my eye...
Gray is that the same as Black Destroyer? If so half of one of the beans I just popped is Black Destroyer x Black JH ..:circle-of-love:

Black Destroyer is AK x Black Domina, so no, just a coincidence. :cheesygrinsmiley: I'm gonna run a Black Domina one of these days.

Great! - I'm looking forward to growing it. I ran three Kerala x Skunk#1 and I liked the Indian sativa in that. I figured it would be a fun cross if it's legit, and from what you say it is. And I've always been a sucker for elegante. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Every strain I've grown with Nepalese genetics has been great. Flo, Willie Nelson come to mind. Excellent.

You've really taken up to the top level lately Graytail. Your garden is right up there with everyone else who's really pushing the limits of the high brix gear....absolutely amazing.

Just curious, when was the last time you smoked some non-brix weed?

The last time I smoked non-brix weed?

It's bad, Doc. There have been a few times over the past several months, when I've been given a nug or two of good stuff to smoke and ... well ... it doesn't smell good ... and it doesn't taste good ... it burns my throat ... and I'm annoyed at having smoked it when I could have been smoking mine. I threw it away. This from a guy who got every last crumb out of his brickweed all those years. I didn't want to throw it but I knew I'd never smoke it.

So, yeah, it's bad. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Thanks for the kudos! I like the way brix has stabilized for me - I'm getting through my first bad misbalance. It's such a blackbox when you can't test the soil and formulate a new amendment for each time. Fortunately, your kit performs very well whether brix is up or down. That Grapefruit is very good smoke despite its (relatively) low brix!

Somebody in this business should start cataloguing and comparing terpenes and THC profiles. I've smoked two plants that read 16+ brix out of my 24 plants so far, and they were qualitatively different from the others. Another dimension. It may be what you're referring to when you talk about headroom, so to speak. :cheesygrinsmiley: There's sumpin new going on in my head, and it has to do with the THC profile, so I think it would be fascinating to see how higher brix develops other cannibinoids, and whether they're related to specific terpenes and their levels.

I need my own lab ...

... and a whole bunch o' samples ...

... on a few acres someplace quiet ...

[Edit] Found a nice page online about cannibinoids and terpenes:

Here's the last White Panther harvest, WP2. I wasn't paying attention and got me some bud rot, but it was perfect timing. I was gonna chop it tomorrow anyway. It surprised me. I haven't had a hint of it until now, but it's a testament to how fat I got this one to grow. Big ole donkey dicks on this one! I should have pulled the nugs away from the colas - have to pay closer attention in the future.

This is probably the chunkiest plant I've grown so far. The trich production fell short but it's still plenty sticky, and the scissor hash was superb. The other two White Panthers finished at 13/14 and 13/13 brix so I don't feel terrible about this one only reading 13/14. Woulda been nice to do better.

Congrats again gray...

:cheesygrinsmiley: And thank you for the big ol' repthump. :thanks:

I enjoyed watching that plant grow. Great Haul GT! :cheertwo:

It's an amazing pheno, RL. I want to see someone else grow it, but you're running that Panama on my prodding, so another grower is gonna have to step up!

Wow.. Just wow! Terrific harvest and stellar photography. Great work!

Thanks Bakedman. This is the sort of produce you can turn out with the kit - can't wait to see what you get.

Baked beat me to the WOW so Holy Moly man..... She looks amazing......:circle-of-love:

Thanks, sweetheart. Yer gainin' on me fast, though ... :cheesygrinsmiley:

Congrats graytail. those things look all hulked up.

good you caught that botrytis before it spread like wild fire.

Yeah, I didn't take it seriously. I have a lot of experience growing in my climate and I never saw budrot, ever. I never grew buds like these before though. Goodness gracious! Now I know another thing to check for.

damn! look at the size of those buds. great work.

Thanks a ton, B. Glad to see you here. I've been reading your posts since you showed up last fall. :thumb:

NICE pull GT! :ganjamon: Happy harvest, my friend! :high-five: Hope she's a new high for you :)

:high-five: ...maybe. I gotta beat 104 grams. :cheesygrinsmiley: Seems unlikely, especially since I lost a few grams from budrot. But it's still the best looking harvest, no doubt. Got 'er dialed! Third time's the charm.

I have an update coming - gotta load pics. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Get yourself a sulfur burner and light it off about week 3 or 4 of bloom and you won't have to worry about Bud Rot or PM again.

The yellowing on SLH2 hasn't progressed and she's a week away from harvest so I'm feeling fine about things. I can't get her brix over 13 but it's been at 12/13 consistantly for weeks, so that's probably about all this one is going to be able to manage. It got starved for EWC in bloom I think. Again though, despite the relatively low brix, the buds are hard, dense and very sticky, like WP2. I actually like the way it looks - kinda reminds me of the old days!

The Carnivals are getting me excited! They're both at 14/15 brix and lookin' gooood. These stems, though ... wimpy weak things. It must be a characteristic of the strain because they've all been skinny and floppy. It's not bad when they're stuffed in the room, but I take 'em out and they fall apart. :cheesygrinsmiley: Carn1 is starting to swell.

Panama Seed is comin' on strong! This strain grows buds unlike any other I've grown. They start out with teensy tiny calyxes all crammed into tiny compact buds all down the stems. Then when I drench 'em, those calyxes swell along with the new ones. It's dramatic to watch. I get a kick out of the funky twisty leaves, too. And she's starting to purple up now! I love this strain as a grower, everything else aside, it's simply a fascinating strain. I projects a sort of pent-up vigor. This would be a fun one to run over and over again - I bet it has a ton of surprises waiting to discover.

Green Love Potion makes me chuckle - such a funny lookin' thang. It's no wider than the pot, sheesh - grows straight up with crazy-strong stems. But it's making nice trichs. It looks like a small harvest, but those colas are going to be long, so ...

GF1 has low brix and dull leaves and it's too dark with a tinge of claw. I don't know what's up. The last one was N-starved at this stage. Go figure.

Carn3 is in the midst of training. I've just been bending the meristem to let the others catch up. Since I know it has weak stems, I'll see if I can train for stronger stems on this one.

My WWxSk1 is a sativa-dom racehorse with thin fluffy leaf blades and a strong desire to gain height. I've topped it and bent the two tops down, so it's trying to figure out how to break free of that. Meanwhile, it's growing its lowest stems out past 6 inches. Wild thang!

I also up-potted two small ones - a vigorous Cotton Candy x Carnival and a Grapefruit cut. The three GFs I took last week all died, but I only needed the one.
