Graytail's Cupwinners in High Brix Soil - 4x4 - 600W HPS - Perpetual

Ok I have another update.

SLH Reveg is dried and jarred and I have room to hang WP1, so she'll be chopped in the next couple days. I'm eager to weigh the nugs on this White Panther - they're much denser than her mother. :cheesygrinsmiley: And I'm letting this one go longer, too, so the smoke should be slightly different. I'll know in a week. Incidently, I ran the SLH in 6-5-3 mineralized soil the first round and it had a "metallic" quality to the high that led to headaches. So far, the same plant in the kit doesn't have that problem. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Pana1 is in the home stretch, turning a nice purple and plumpin' up her buds. This strain has really grown on me - I'm always going to have one of these going.

Next come the three new strains. I let both Carnival and Cotton Candy get bigger than usual, so it will be interesting to see if it pays off. They're still growing a bit at 27 inches, but I think they'll finish under 30 inches.

Carnival - 87 days old - 24 days 12/12 - 15 since pistils - brix 12/12

Grapefruit had its issues, so it's a couple weeks behind. It's recovering, but still pale and no shine yet.

WP2 went into 12/12 to replace her mother. :cheesygrinsmiley:

And SLH2 got a 6 gallon pot to fill WP2's vacant space.

your pics are awesome! You have a very unique style of pruning and shaping the plants. It's really growing on me! And I love the look of some of those buds.....mmmm.

Regarding the high......I'm glad to hear this! I've got a good supply of SLH, but I've been reluctant to run it because of headaches and slight edginess that I got when I ran it in other kinds of soil, or when I tried a hydro version of it.

This might sway my decision on what's next!

Heheh, this is probably as "mellow" as SLH is gonna get, I suppose - I sure wouldn't want to smoke hydro-grown.

These lil shorties are kinda intriguing, huh? It's mostly a canopy issue with me - low watts/foot, so shallow is better. But I'm impressed with what they can yield. :cheesygrinsmiley: The SLH Reveg was a little ridiculous, but I wanted to see what would happen. A good 1/4 of it is too small to fool with. If I could rewind, I'd thin the branches down to half before flower.

Do you know anything about the Africans? Zamadelica keeps calling my name, but after SLH I wonder if I really want that kind of high.

Here's what dubi said about Zamal and its crosses:

"Zamal has a unique kind of high, it's crazy, psychedelic and out of control, especially i have found extremely powerful and crazy plants crossing zamal with other sats and sat/ind hybrids. It has huge breeding potential to get incredible sativa experiences in the hybrids..." "...with a terrorific electric high. It can produce serious paranoia and anxiety when correctly grown..." "...some phenos produced some of the most powerful sativa high i've ever smoked." "It was an overpowering accelerated, psychedelic, disorienting crazy high."

I do think I'm gonna have to get a Zamaldelica this fall when I run the Utopia Haze again. Jus' ... gotta. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Then again, another grower said this:

"...all I can say is HOLY S***. If you are looking for the terror ridden, thai clarity..." "First two hours were INTENSE, scary to the point anyone who wasn't a seasoned smoker would not want to be high anymore..." "...you see at 2 frames per second and there are a lot of "whoa, how long have I been here...... wait, did that just happen?" moments."

Oh man I haven't really been brave enough to consider growing a crazy sativa but summers here, maybe I'll find a 20 - 30 gallon pot and try the kit outdoors.

The smoke sounds legendary

Exactly what I'm looking for. :)

LOL, shoulda known you'd be interested. Followed by a Kush extract chaser, eh?!

Actually, you ran Golden Tiger, didn't you? All you were missing was the Zamal - had the Malawi and Thai. Although the Malawi is the moderator in that mix as I recall. The "terrorific" lysergic high comes from the Thai and Zamal. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I have wild thai growing but she is just a baby but I sure hope she is anywhere as good as that description....:circle-of-love:

Thais are known for being trippy and speedy and tend to trigger paranoia in a lot of people, but I think it's the african sativas that have the lysergic haze-like buzz. So, heheh, you mix those just right and ... voila. It doesn't really sound all that pleasant, but it would be nice to have in a jar ... :cheesygrinsmiley: ... bring it out for friends ... heheh.

Hmmm ... ... now I'm thinkin' edibles ... hadn't considered that ... wouldn't That be interesting ...

Good day all! Anyone wanting a crazy, speedy ,highpower buzzy sativa should grow out some Kali Mist from Serious seeds! Just one toke and you wanna cut the grass or clean the whole house, lmfao! No guff ...it's nearly 100% sativa and very trippy, speedy stuff! I have friends that would do anything to get there hands on it again.I only grew it twice do to the longer flowering time, but it was so worth it.Top shelf genetics, for sure! Anyhow my thoughts on those trippy sativas. Cheers all!

Yes I think it would be very interesting......:circle-of-love:

Seeds of Africa - Zamal Reunion strain description: A small island off the east Coast of Africa, Reunion Island is home to its indigenous “Zamal” plant. This Tropical Sativa is renowned for its colossal size. Big buds, A Lot of branches, highly populated bud clusters with a massive yield. Zamal has a strong spicy flavor to go along with its unique, and intense high. Excellent for cross pollination.

Ace Seeds - Lao Sativa strain description: Original seeds which come directly from Luang Prabang growers of the north of Laos.
It is a pure sativa with classic features of the southeastern asian sativas, very similar to the thai varieties in their appearance, aromas and high. However, unlike the current thai varieties, Laos has been more preserved from external influences, conserving the originality and authenticity of its varieties.
No doubt this sativa will be of great interest to growers and seekers of old legendary sativas.

Sounds like a breeding project waiting to happen to me..... :hmmmm:
