Graytail's 4th Perpetual: 4x4 Samsung Panels

Haha you're going to have to tell me how you did that.

"Nothin' fancy", I just copied the page link ...

(@Duggan - Diva and I use that phrase with a twinkle once a month or so. :p)

So seeing pinene and limonene up there together makes a ‘hospital’ taste kind of understandable...
Pinene and Limonene...........:surf:

Yeah, I suppose it's the pine-based cleaner smell. That's so much less exotic than clove. :) It was just the one hit anyway - such an odd memory flash. Hospital hallway? :hmmmm:

I got lazy and it's been a couple weeks, so I have another update! :theband:

Actually, it's been a little boring since I harvested the last of the first batch - didn't even pull the early bloomers out for two weeks, but in the meantime they had a fuggin party in there! Musta ordered out for pizza, I dunno, but they all got big!

Carn1 is 42 inches, Carn2 is 46, and DurBush in her tidy little 3 gallon pot is 48 ... so far ... oops. So it's going to be tricky to bring them all home over the next 8 weeks. I got stalled in veg, so everything got a little bigger, and that looked fine to me ... but I've been delaying the upcan like Doc does, and I think mebbe the "explosion of growth" thing has some merit to it. :hmmmm: Dey go BOOM dis time.

So here's Carnival1 to start with. I haven't seen trichs on the fans this early before.

Carnival2 is similar, but with thicker buds at this stage - same age. Check out how stout the upper stems on some of these pics. This batch of soil is rippin it!

Blue Dream didn't get as tall - instead she went wide. :)

This is a Bubba Hash. I got her into bloom in time.

And I think I got Raspberry Diesel just right - 8 nice even tops. :slide:

The small girls have gotten a bit large too, but the only one that really exploded was DurBush. There isn't much info on this one, but I wasn't expecting the 4 to 1 stretch. I think she's stopped ... :hmmmm:

Here are the small ones. UtopiaHaze x BuddhaHaze @ 28 days, KingGelato @ 5 days, in the corner is DevilsCarnival6 @5 days, and the big one is UBH x GoldenTiger @ 28 days. I have a Bubba Hash and a DC5 coming in the next couple weeks.

And I have one to chop soon. This is DC4, an odd pheno - "fast", but not fully auto. It vegged normally for 67 days because I didn't have room until then. I took two clones and they both rooted but refused to veg under 20/4. I potted one into a cup and it partially bloomed and then stalled completely. The mother is slightly fast, but only by a week or less compared to her siblings. But it's nice and fruity and exactly what I wanted out of 3 gallon pot, so all's good. :)

And Bluniverse reveg is big enough to take cuts. :yahoo: As soon as I root a few, I'll cut the rootball back and repot into a 6 gallon for bloom.

:Namaste:

Wow, that's some garden you have there Graytail. You are an inspiration of what can be achieved. Some really great info.
I'm just finishing off a 3'x5' full height grow room, after growing in small cabinets for the past year and I really like the yield you are getting from the 3gal girls. I could fit quite a few in my 3'x5', but will still stick a few bigger pots in too.
I really like those Carnivals :goodjob:

Peace

I just had a hit of Bubba that tasted like "hospital". What the heck is that?

Clove maybe? ... :hmmmm: ... antiseptic clove? It tasted exactly like that smell you get when you're visiting, walking down the hallway toward the room.

:bongrip:

Man, the terps in this Bubba really hold up, Neiko! It's been a month since chop and they're thick. I get a tingle on my tongue from every fresh hit.

:high-five:
Here's the terp profile for Bubba Hash ...

Yup! You got lemon/citrus scented Pinesol there, Brother! :high-five:
:goodjob:

Thanks everyone! :thanks:

Nice update Gray. They are looking happy and healthy. Congrats on the reveg too. How have the temps been in your neck of the woods?

Yep, Ima have some clones of a female Bluniverse - might have to pass one along. ;)

But dammit, that purple DC didn't make it. It sprouted some tiny veg leaves, and then stalled and died. Anyone know about moisture and a reveg? I think I'm screwing that up. This pot was too moist when I chopped and what was left of the foliage couldn't dry it out? :hmmmm: I don't think I have the watering process down for reveges. But I have 14 S1s! :yahoo: I dropped one two days ago.

We're past the heat now. The 90s are doable, but not for a week at a time with high RH. It hit me the worst at about two weeks from chop on most of them. You can see it in the DC4. Since then, temps have been great!

One of the things I like about my posting my setup is how crude it looks and is. :) I think it shows how well a grower can do with some simple basics. Congrats on the new room!

I'm not actually getting good yields from my 3 gallon pots. Per gallon, they're only producing 70% of the 6 gallon pots. But it lets me grow keeper strains in the 6s and experiment with strains in the 3s. Then if I can nail down revegging, I can run new strains in the 6s for yield. :slide:

I'm not sure if I've heard of anyone not being impressed with Carnival. Just last week, I got a report from someone who had tried it, and without prompting he said it was surprisingly energetic - no crash - he felt like moving around and doing stuff - exactly what we all think of it. You're good and high, it's a 20% strain, but you don't get a post rush fade - you just stay high. :)

A couple of my friends that had some of my Carnival really like the buzz, but something they also commented on is that the smell doesn't linger around nearly as heavily as the indicas that they normally smoke. Also, there's very little red eye. It's fairly incognito if you need that.

Heheh, that's a definite advantage. There's a guy at work who likes the skunky stuff and it lingers for a long long time. Sativas are much better. I can take a quick few puffs and no one's the wiser. Actually, terps on this Carn1 are nothing to write home about - kinda dull tasting - I've had smellier ones. But the buzz ...

Wow Graytail! I always comment that my Carns hide the trichomes, and yours blast them right out the fan leaves. Lol! You inspire me to get better at the craft. :bravo:

How do I shame you into a picture on the Carnival thread my friend? You were the impetus, and you grow arguably the best among us. I think it’s time to show one off over there. Not that we have any lack of opportunity to see them on display here. You can show them all the difference the kit makes. :battingeyelashes:

I’ll be looking for a new DC line when I get moved. I already know the canna gods are gonna shine on you. :green_heart:

You're right - I should post something on the Carnival thread. When you started it up I wanted to stay out of the way 'cause it was your baby, and then I didn't have one growing for a year or more ...

But this Carn1 is pretty! I'll see what I can come up with.

When you start another DC I think it should be a purple one doncha think? ;) And I haven't had any trouble with nanners on the DCs I've run. I think you just drew a finicky one.

:Namaste:

Graytail, you know me better than all the rest among us. Nothing I start is my baby. :kisstwo: I look forward to your input.

I hope you're right about the DC. The purples are pretty, for sure, and they have their own power and taste, but my dirty brown buds are much more potent than either of the purples I tasted. It'd be nice to have both color and this intensity. It must be time to start again. Thinking about it that way makes me more excited about the possibilities. No way am I taking any plants with me.
