This is something that keeps puzzling me. :hmmmm: Is there a "far right"? I keep hearing that there are these dangerous white people, on fire with some kind of crazed ideology. They want rioting and chaos and they want to feel superior to other races. If you see one you should recoil in fright and gather your neighbors to beat him half to death. I can't find 'em anywhere. And I live in the part of the country that city folk would assume these people flourish in. For years, I traveled by car through some of the most redneck areas of the country and I still didn't see 'em, hear 'em, or hear OF 'em. Where the hell they hidin'?

I see all those people who resist them so furiously, but I don't see the actual bad guys. Anyone know where they live?

I don' see much far right in the media - lots and lots of far left. And those far left people seem dangerous to me.

The far right might start ... resisting ...

[Edit] I worked in a bowling alley bar, for chrissakes - bikers, redneck drunks, etc. You'd think there'd be one or two in that bunch, but I never saw it. (One old guy made the mistake of using the n-word in a disagreement with a black guy, but he got thoroughly cold-cocked and everything was fine after that. :laughtwo: Respect, y'know?)

I used to watch it regularly. When I blew my back out a few years ago I was really watching it and following shit on "social media" and I was like one of the fish on the line now adays. I would find myself getting sucked into the noise until the noise got me so feed up that I cut the ties. Then the noise went away....and clearness returned to head. That clearness made me rethink (in conjunction with cannabis....as there is scientific proof that cannabis changes how one thinks through the release of Dopamine....... there is a very good episode of the Joe Rogan Experience with Dr. Andrew Huberman for anyone looking to learn some cool shit) a lot of things I had heard and thought were bullshit and things I though I knew to be true. I came to the realization then that its all a bunch of bullshit. Since then, shits been real clear LOL!!
 
Two things to always remember ...

1.) It's entertainment.

2.) If it's free, who's paying for it? ... and why?

There are groups who are highly organized and no you don’t see them carrying on in public. If a civil war goes don’t don’t think North vs South type of war. Think Sinn Fein and IRA style guerilla war. The far right is top heavy with military and ex military personnel, law enforcement and others who have already been on the front lines overseas. It won’t be pretty by any means.

I have wondered that same thought on a few occasions myself Gray. I hear that rumor kick around every so often....the far right is gonna come calling. Its usually at times when when rumors go a good ways in getting people riled up.

Here's a question I often ask myself......In a country of more than 300 million people, we always gotta pick from one of two choices. Both choices blame the other choice for all the problems and swear they can fix the problems. We pick one of the two bad choices who promises that they will do better. They don't and we keep repeating. On top of that not only do we keep repeating, but we keep giving those two shitty choices EVEN more money than they already have in hopes that they can save us from that other guy/girl who is ruining everything.

See that kind of seems like stacking the deck to me. Only two choices. Why only two choices? Well the media, won't even let you get on a national television debate with the only two choices you have unless you are polling something like 15% Nationally. Well how in the hell are you gonna poll nationally if you can't get on national TV? So the media goes a long way in ensuring that no one with any differing ideology will potentially show up and ruin their party. Left wing....right wing.....don't matter.......its all part of the same bird. Can we say bi-polar. I mean picture that...the same bird with each wing pointing at the other one and blaming it for its issues. Sounds pretty ludicrous to me, but hell seems like most of America and the modern world wants to buy into that mentality.

The Left....Defund the Police, do away with the 2nd Amendment. Yeah nothing bad can come from that.....can it Chaz?

The Right...More police and more equipment, or call in the National guard. Gotta make sure people are used to seeing a military police force!!

I don't know, seems to me the answer lies more in stopping the stirring of the pot cause the only people suffering are the citizens. The political leaders are profitting like never before! Lots of opportunities where we are distracted for them to go do even more shady bullshit. Most American's don't know that the private Prison system is one of the leading contributors to BOTH the left and right, and since 1990 private prison population has increased 1600% since 1990. Guess what group is the only group out there to donate more to politicians than the Private Prison system......Lawyers. All of this is by design. A free society LOL. Nope.....government, red or blue simply wants control. 50 million surveillance cameras in the USA....thats higher per capita than Communist China. Think about that for a minute!!

And what is it you think those individuals want? What is it you fear they are seeking?

I don't see them out destroying shit.....thats the other side. I am simply asking to try and understand the fear.
 
Yeah, I don't find anyone out in the boonies who could be called part of some organized hate group. I know about all the online associations, but it doesn't seem to leak out into real life. I've been wondering lately if they might be city folks. It's the city people who seem to be frightened. Seriously, I would know if there's some simmering violent undercurrent. Honestly I would know. I've never shied away from the damaged people. I know 'em.

So if there's some racist backlash coming, it's gotta be in the cities, and I know nothing about city life. They seem to be increasingly awful places to live.

I've been mulling over what you said about the 2-party system and you're not wrong, but ...

The choice is between freedom and security, not the two Parties. And politicians don't have to be legislators. They've set up systems that can no longer be managed or controlled. Special interests write the legislation and offer it to the committees. Then staff edits it into legislation. Politicians don't make laws anymore - actually can't anymore - too complex to change anything.

That's the danger of government. It restricts freedom. So I'm with whomever offers less government. I prefer freedom to security. Many many people don't, and I understand why. But the whole point of setting up this kind of government is that you're not supposed to be able to restrict MY freedom just because you want to feel more secure. You go be secure. I'll go be free.

Yeah, the left is about collective and forced unity. Individuals are a problem.

Heheh Penny, I think you're punking us. Seriously, go try to find some of these "Far Right". The only time I see them is when a few of them show up somewhere and draw a huge crowd of violent leftists, who then riot and loot and burn, etc. And it's always in some city. Makes a guy suspicious.
 
My point is they control the rules so that there are only two players in the game......the Left, and the right. So even if there was an idea that was accepted by the public from a third party, that party can't even get into the political debates unless they somehow magically "poll" (Gee any questions on the validity of polls these days) that magical 15%. Well how the "F" are we supposed to know there is another option if you won't show it to us. So....they are rigging it from the beginning.

I think you and I would enjoy a good conversation over a few bowls Gray.

Think of government as a bird.....it has to fly. It has two wings and it uses them whatever way that needs to, together or opposite of each other to achieve its goal. Most people think that the political lefts goal is much different than the political rights goal. That would be true if they were different birds all together. But if its the same bird..then what? Whats the goal of government. Control....always has been, always will be. So the the left wing and the right wing of the same bird work together for the goal! You following me yet?

Most people tend to view the political right and the political left as opposite entities. I say they are simply opposite ends of the same machine with one goal.

The illusion is the goal that the media paints for us to believe! The left wing and the right wings are illusions....the choices it has forced us to "chose" from. This is why the media is such an important part of any government, and why its controlled so closely.

Thats probably a little deep for most of y'all.
