Graytail's 3rd: 4x4, HiBrix, Latest LED Tech, Lots Of Light!

Oooooo, I Like this time in the cycle! :slide: I have all sorts of fine nuggage goin' on in the bloom room! I got big nugs 'n' small nugs, tall nugs 'n' short nugs, new fresh nugs 'n' old sticky nugs ... it be nugsville alllll up in Graytail's crib. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I just went through another rather nasty hot spell with bloom room temps in the high 80s for a week, but I was able to control the humidity fairly well, and caught a couple small outbreaks of PM before it spread. I gotta tell ya, that Sierra Natural Sciences thyme oil spray is the bee's knees. I sprayed it right on some blooming buds and it destroyed the PM and didn't screw up the buds - what more can a grower ask? You can spot-treat with it - a couple trigger squeezes and you're done - very nice. Anyway, the heat has really amped up the growth at some expense to leaf health. The two I put into bloom last week have already put on another 5-6 inches of fat frenetic growth, and the ones near finish have really hardened up after the Cat drench. This is the first time I've seen buds this hard in my grows. I finally have enough light! :yahoo:

Tikal is in the home stretch. She's scheduled for chop a week from now at 11 weeks but it looks like it could easily be longer. The pictures don't do the plant justice. I groomed all of them before I took pics and Tikal was very messy - had resin all over my thumbnail and thumb from picking off dying leaves of course, but also over the back of my hand and stuck to my hairs all the way up my arm, from reaching into the plant - she's one sticky girl at this point! Terps keeping getting thicker.

The BH crosses will be next with 3-4 weeks to go. I don't really know how long it should be, so I'm estimating 10-11 weeks and that looks pretty good right now. BHxDestroyer is clearly in the lead with some of the fattest hardest buds I've ever grown. It didn't deal as well with the heat, though, and most of her fans went yellow. She still looks damned fine, I think!

BHxNexus retained the wide indica-style leaves all the way through bloom - an enjoyable plant to grow - I hope she smokes well. I snipped off a bud accidentally and tested it wet tonight and was impressed. We'll know soon.

UHxCarnival and OHS1 are also being impressive. This heat really pumped everything up! They're only two weeks into pistil growth and sporting a pretty serious garden of trichs already.

Tikal is growing more vigorously this time - 4.5 inches in the last 4 days. I expect her to set pistils in another 4-5 days though, so she should top out at a little over 30 inches again. This one has fewer tops and the autumn climate is virtually perfect, so I have a good shot at a really nice one, due around Thanksgiving.

I still like the way BHxUH has been growing. It has a Haze look to it, but so far it's been very well behaved. There are some exciting genetics in this cross, and I'd love to get a killer pheno!

Carnival is all fattened up and ready for bloom, going in tomorrow. :slide: I can hardly wait for some new fresh Carnival!

Here's Channel+ at 61 days old, freshly topped, and DrGrinspoon at 65 days, just starting to adapt to her topping last week. This one has very "rubbery" upper stems. I've bent 'em several times a day and they keep popping right back up. Finally, this past few days, the lower growth has started to catch up and thicken.

I really love my Par-Force Smart Grow panel!! I've had 'em within 8 inches without any sign of damage. :slide:

Y Griega, at 59 days, also got topped today

Carnival2 is 22 days old and will get upcanned later this week. In the background, there's Purple Haze on the left at 9 days old, and Taskenti at 2 days old.

Gawd I love it when the perpetual is all fueled up and producing! :yahoo:

Stopped me right in the middle of Callanetics Graytail, and sooooo worth the pause. Good grief man, you grow some of the prettiest plants! There's no way to pick a favorite anymore.

Explain to me... Why aren't we neighbors?

First off, thanks for the endorsement of the SNS spray. I have a bottle and will be sure to keep it around, hoping to never have cause to use it.

Thank you for these two pictures. They're a wonderful illustration of your training technique and I, for one, will make good use of this knowledge share.

Now I really need to get back to the mat. Thanks Graytail. Something to scroll through after the shower. :battingeyelashes:

Gave it some thought and I gotta say, that Tikal that's in full flower and all sticky? Yeah.... Her. She's my favorite. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

I know it's a little late into this, But Imma gonna set a spell.

Andy. :Namaste:

You're absolutely rockin' it, bro :theband: :thumb: Interested how this Purple Haze is gonna turn out :cheesygrinsmiley:

GT is the man. His plants speak for themselves. :thumb:

Amen!
Damn, dude - you sure know your stuff! I'd give you more reps, but I have to spread the joy around first.
Good to know about the SNS!
:high-five:

Darnit Gray, you're like 80 pages deep and I didn't even know you were journaling. If it wasn't for the references to here as of late I'd still be in the dark. You never gave me an invite, don't let it happen again. :laughtwo:

Outstanding my friend

Outstanding is right. First thing I did this morning was to scroll through the update again, and the entire time I'm still going "Whoa..... Wow!.....damn Graytail!.....Oooooo...." It's never-ending wonder. :laughtwo: Don't you marvel at the consistency? I'm hoping against hope that some of that talent can rub off through virtual association. Internet osmosis, if you will. Every week I end up sitting back on my heels and saying

"Damn...I wanna grow like that." :laughtwo:

I'm only articulating what we're all thinking. :battingeyelashes:

As I scroll through again it pleases see me that Graytail's Land 'O Light has lived up to the promised potential. Look how handy growing the POTY ended up being. You're living our cannabis cultivator dreams.

"MORE LIGHT!!!" The call of the cannabis cultivator. :laughtwo: Somebody heard your call and responded Graytail. Nice to watch you enjoy it.

Have a splendid day Graytail. You've made ours a little more special. Thanks for that. Now... One more stroll...

Wow Gray...top of the morning to ya brotha! Another stellar update ....looks like your gonna be trimming soon my friend. more jars full of outstanding produce...yippee. Newbies should be checking in on this journal with regularity and watching you and your methods...they are basic, reliable, and offer outstanding results. Cheers eh! Good tip about the SNS Gray! :thumb:

GT, as about everyone agrees you have a super perpetual grow with great photos to go along with it. Do you stand on a ladder to get those top growth photos? Also, on my photos, after uploading them to 420 I lose track of who is who, how do you keep track? I wanna know your secret. :thanks:

Thank you! :thanks: I'm a rather lazy, careless grower, and these methods keep me from screwing up too badly. :laughtwo:

LOL, you're the second person to ask me that! I stand on a barstool to take the overhead shots. :cheesygrinsmiley: Heheh. Picture that! ... foolish old man ... :cheesygrinsmiley: My secret to keeping everyone straight is to take pics in the same order I'll post 'em, and then write the update. Then I load the pics one plant at a time and paste them into their spots. You're right - keeping track of pics from 15 plants can be confusing! I've mistakenly swapped 'em a few times.

Desfran is dried and jarred and I got 61 grams, 2.15 ounces, over 167 days = 0.365 grams per day. It smokes very much like my Utopia Haze - not terribly potent since it was taken early, but a very nice smooth sativa high. :slide: And I found more seeds.

Wonderful! More seeds! Another opportunity to get it right. :slide:

LOL, I jus' figured you had way too many subbed already, like me! :laughtwo:

I do but you were part of that original crew who helped me get started. I'll follow you to Kingdom Come.
