Graytail's 3rd: 4x4, HiBrix, Latest LED Tech, Lots Of Light!

Beautiful as always GT! I warned ya about that Tikal....hehehe! I don't think she's done either. Like I said before she was about 12" tall at flower and is now about 58" from the soil. My light can't go any higher. I will get an update by this weekend for sure. It is mid week 11 and she shows NO sign of slowing down, fricken pistols everywhere. I planned on taking down the tangerine this weekend and she must have heard me because when I got home tonight she had thrown out a ton more pistols. I don't know I may just give her 80 days, she's on 72 now.:thumb:

I took a bunch of Tikal cuts 34 days ago and popped 'em into a cup with an inch or two of water and a pinch of Roots. In the meantime I've planted a few and have one that's doing well. These two were left. :cheesygrinsmiley: About a week ago they started to grow new leaves, so I checked the stems and sure enough, they had nubbies.

Here's a look at the water they sat in, unchanged over 34 days. The color is from the powdered minerals in the Roots.

I think they'll take well to the soil. :slide:

Hmm mine they never look that pretty, they are just melted and hanging there :cheesygrinsmiley::clap:

Those look awesome GT! The wife tried another tester of the tangerine tonight, it was taken 9 days since the last one. It came from the lower part of the plant. What a difference 9 days make. She took 2 bong hits and oh shit lol. I had to talk her down and remind her it is just the weed. I know she has never been that high before, it scared the shit out of her. I haven't tried it yet, still got stuff to get done but I will. Got 1 chocolope down and Malawi will head to flower tomorrow....yay! Have a good one bud and those flowers look like they will be devastating.
:goodjob:

Yummy looking flowers Graytail and extra points on nubs! Way to go. Raise that confidence level just a bit more. :laughtwo: I keep forgetting to raid the local Target for those lids. Damn, I threw two of those away today after iced coffees. You should have stopped me.

Next time. :battingeyelashes:

Pretty in Pink!
:drool::clap:

Simply beautiful plants! I may just scrap my journal... It kind of feels like taking a leak next to an elephant trunk. Simply amazing GT. I'm "awed"!!!

 Don't do that having a journal is a big help in getting your plants to look like this!

Awesome stuff GT :high-five:

I think you pretty much put it all into perspective for us here Spitz.

jeez

I got another set of pics for an update today. :blunt:

I'm a little disappointed in BHxBB. She's only 7.5 weeks since the flip and she keeps looking like she's done. The fade returned in strength, and there's still no sign of a new surge of calyx building. It could lean toward the shorter Blue Blood maturity, but it should still be doing better at this point. Dunno - might be a clinker.

Desfran is gonna be a long ride, one I've taken before. At the end I've usually been disappointed, but we won't know until we get there, will we? :laughtwo:

Tikal is just lovely! Isn't she a fine example of a plant in early bloom? She only put on an inch over the week, topping out at 33 inches, so the stretch is done ... :cheesygrinsmiley:

I dropped a Blue Dream into soil today, too ... :slide:

I'm beginning to notice more. Thanks for being so thorough.

Again... Stunning. Now for my question... I notice you veg for a considerable amount of time. I'm wondering if you've ever tried stripping away most of the plant (top half) prior to flip? My thoughts are that what's below ground (roots) ultimately drive what's above ground (flowers). I see beautiful scrogs and peeps bragging about "40+ tops". What happens if that same 90 day root system was feeding only 10 tops? I'm sure they would be very impressive but is there a chance they could be ridiculously stupid huge? Something I've been considering trying because space will be an issue for me. Those damn mojitos and my bright ideas... Ugh

I'm waiting for that answer too. He has quite a stash.

I can't say that I've seen anyone strip the top of the plant. It may be the mojitos ... :cheesygrinsmiley:

But you're sort of describing a bonsai method, or even fluxing. The idea would be to build the root structure and the large feeder branches, and then concentrate all the foliar growth into a few sites.

I know that setting up all those photos, taking the shots, cropping, resizing, uploading, then posting here with clear explanations is a lot of work.

Do you find yourself reaching for any particular smoke before doing an update? :peace::passitleft:

:laughtwo: :blunt: Nothing in particular. I keep a half dozen strains at hand and sorta rotate around, with Carnival as the base buzz. Tonight I started with some Nexus, polished off the last of some Buddha Haze laced with some Carnival ... had a Panama bud onhand for a couple days ... I have an urge for something a little fruity so I'll probably nip a little bud of Destroyer ...

It's such a delicious secret, having a huge variety of strains to smoke, most of them top-shelf enough to put experienced smokers away. :yahoo:  It's hard to wrap my head around ... two years ago I was smoking whatever brickweed I could get.

See? This is why you're my inspiration. :laughtwo: jars of it Baby. Jars of it. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Every bud smoker should have himself one of these nifty trays ...
