They are so beautiful and elegant.
This is just so cool. The level of understanding life and ecosystems on this planet in our current age is horrendous. This information does not surprise me at all. There are nutritionists and a very few select medical doctors that are just now learning about similar symbiotic functions in our digestion of nutrients, minerals, and specific aminos etc. Our health depends on our intestines which depend on microbes - flora. So you could think of our intestines as our roots that have microbes that bring us nutrients that we don't know we need but they do. The general public eats so poorly we have massive health issues that are all related to what we eat and generally it is based on that we destroy our symbiotic life within ourselves and then we get sick without them. We have photo responding cells in our skin that with a chain of responses give us vitamins. We are more connected to the planet and our evolution than our medical establishment (trillion dollar industry) wants you to know...Okay I'm on a rant!
Ending rant :)

I often wonder if many of Dale's health challenges can be tracked back to the devastation of his microbes from the toxic stew of medications they've prescribed for him over the past 20 years.

hey GT are you going to train the high brix babies? i made an intresting question about brix and training over at docs Q&A topic and it involves your technique.

stop by if you find the time:high-five:

Amazing How that one is stacking the nodes. It's like it's got big plans, but is taking the time to show off on the way. Is this the point where you start looking for ways to guide it's growth?

Howtall is that? How many nodes?

Beautiful plants!

It's surprising me, too. I counted 13 nodes today and it's less than a foot tall. :cheesygrinsmiley: I kept it very close to the CFLs in seedling stage and about a foot under a 250W MH since then. It really took well to the new soil, with vibrant stretchy upper growth today. I've been considering topping it because of all that tight lower growth. If I take the top off, I should be able to train the lower branches into a nice full canopy. And if it's going to show a burst of growth right now, it'll make the training easier and more effective. I gave it a dose of GE a few days before upcanning it - not great timing, but convenient for now. I watered it in with Trans/Tea, though.

I usually don't take many brix readings in the early veg phase, so I don't really know what effect training has on brix. My thinking is that it's not really important until you get to bloom. Obviously, if the plants look sick or especially good, a reading might be nice, but otherwise it's not a very useful number, typically 10-13. In training, I think it's most important to watch the new growth. If it's vigorous and directed where you want it, you're doing fine. If the plant stalls and looks unhappy, you've upset things and will have to wait and watch. Flying a kite comes to mind as an analogy. You feet for the pull of the wind on the string and resist it - guiding one direction or another. Sometimes the wind dies, or you get your kite oriented the wrong way. I "feel" for the pull of growth and resist and guide the direction.

Mornin Gray....lookin good here...very nice indeed.Your Desfrans are a couple weeks ahead of mine ,so this is a good thing as i'l see what to shoot for....Cheers Gray.:thumb:

Desfran does look particularly fine! She's usually the best-looking of the new ones, all spikey and eager. :slide:

Very vibrant looking gray. Nice.

Thank ya, Dutty, but I wish they looked better. I'm having one hell of a time getting my veg space to perform. I had much better looking youngsters a year ago. I've been trying to dial it in for months. I think I still have a problem with low humidity, but the weather is getting better and I think that will solve itself in a few weeks.

Veg room is currently at 20/4, with nothing in bloom at the moment, and I'll be starting a late veg tent at 18/6 in a few weeks.

I'm going to have several panels in the bloom room :cheesygrinsmiley: so I'll probably stagger them to create an 11/13 schedule, with the center panel running 9/15 and the corner ones 11/13. I'll get a weaker reddish sunrise and sunset that way, and save a lil juice.

Its a cool idea ;)
I run my 1000w HPS 12/12 and then my 400w MH at 10/14 inside that for same reasons provides the red sunrise and sunset and more of a full spectrum during the 10 hrs. If that makes sense. so 9am HPS ON 10am MH ON: 8pm MH off 9 pm HPS off. I believe this schedule has help my plants stay green longer and turn yellow slower and the branches are getting very heavy with bud 6 weeks in. Its hard to measure the difference until harvest and cure weights come in but it looks better to me already - might be wishful thinking. :)

And I can't give you any more rep points tonight. :laughtwo: I like what you're doing with the lights. This was what I was trying to work out but couldn't apply the brain to. Look at the trouble you've saved me! Learning over here off to the side Greytail.

LOL, sheesh, I dunno ...

I'm sitting here tonight checking out some Nexus along with Carnival - not as punchy as Carnival but more soothing - and I had this sudden moment of perspective and clarity. :;): ...

Two years ago, I was really hoping the phone would ring so I could get an ounce of some decent brickweed, 'cause it was getting harder all the time for an old guy to score, ya know? Now I've lost all perspective. Here ... look at this:

As I sit in my recliner and browse about, if I look to the right this is what I see. It's always like that. The jars change, but the selection sorta stays. Now, ... what the hell. Hm? What the hell kind of perspective is that? Have I lost my mind? And it's snob weed, top drawer stuff.

This cannabis growing hobby sure comes with a rare perspective, don' it?

:blunt:

can i have the destroyer jar :bitingnails:

That's awesome Graytail. I used to look like that after my first harvest. Now I got 4 partial jars left and the panic is starting to set in that I will run out before this harvest is complete. I think I would have to stop smoking until it my harvest is done rather than go back to buying it from a dispensary. I probably got about 3 oz's left and that is too close to not having any in my new perspective. I've been waiting 10 days for Herbies to deliver my auto seeds. That is the only way I see me having enough stash until the photo plants are done.
:grinjoint:

Damn! I want to have that perspective when I grow up. :thumb:

Mornin Gray...nice little selection ya got there brotha! Any Indica's ....or is it all Sativa based stuff Gray? BTW....bin wonderin a little about your Destroyer buzz....since it's 100% Sativa ...how is it before bed .....doesn't rev ya up too much does it? I'm hoping i won't regret doing three Desfrans this time up. I like a little help falling asleep and relaxing after work. Can you describe that buzz a little for me bud? Much thanks for takin the time for us Gray!:circle-of-love::thumb::high-five:

I totally get it. I have what I call a bud cellar, and certain jars always get overlooked for the better stuff. Those overlooked jars become my "give away weed" for friends, sometimes a tip for certain services ;) (hair cut, pizza delivery...etc) or its my canna-oil buds. There is no aggregate limit described in the amendment here in Colorado so I plan to keep expanding that cellar until its in the ridiculous category then maybe I'll take a bath in it. lol :)

Everyone needs a bud cellar. We are on the same path my friend (twice I posted this today lol)
