GratefulBud's Summer 2023 Outside Grow

Sorry to hear about the problem child, but on the plus side there's only one?

Your plant is upside down. Might be the trouble right there!
Heh.
The damage so far has been down low. I spray from above but I guess I missed a spot down low. When I spray I do not necessarily drench the plant but I try to mist every bud.

Speaking of upside down, when I got home from a bike ride (MDR to Redondo) the other sip - OG - was laying on her side. A gust of wind must have caught the netting and knocked her over. Weird. Res was dry so I added plain water.

I'm glad it was the plant and not you on the bike! Didja wave as you rode by?
You didn’t see me waving?
We rode 20 miles in the mountains (dirt fire roads) on Sunday and another 20 miles at the beach Monday. I’m sore today.

You out of trim jail?

Here is the Gorilla today. Not many fan leaves left but overall she does not look too bad. Cut off another rotted bud this am tho. The good news is she smells wonderful.

Here is her sister under the net.

My neighbor has very large eucalyptus trees that hang over into my yard. Consequently I get these brown ladybugs - which aren't ladybugs at all but Australian Eucalyptus beetles. They really want to chew on the White Widow.

They are annoying as hell and will chew on the leaves.

Damn Bugs.

Those bugs look nasty! What kills them besides your foot?
Neem will kill them. Fortunately they are easy to spot, and only seem to chew on leaves.

The other insects that bug me are the sap suckers. Little bastards sit on the stems and suck out sap - then they spit it out onto the leaves / flowers. Leaves a white residue. The nets help to keep them away but they are crafty little buggers.

Do you know if bt can go bad? I'm using a bottle from last year; spraying every 2-3 days.
I asked the guy at Green Acres - he said it lasts about 2 years.
Something to be aware of is that you need to use everything that's mixed within 24 hrs.

I drench the entire plant when I spray, but especially the buds. From the top, underneath, and all sides. I mix up 32 oz. Each time - that's enough for my two plants.
You know how I abhor caterpillars. Nasty little fuckers.
I'll second that!

I used a Pax 2 for a while. Didn't really like it. I bought the Arizer Solo II last year and love it. Pretty much the only way I Smoke these days... unless I'm heading out to a show

Ya, I used neem during veg and love the stuff. I keep my eyes out for bugs but other than once in a while I do not see them. When I see a bug, it is dead.

Too bad there's not something that chews on caterpillars...🐊

I had a big 3' Cheese plant outside a few years ago- I sprayed it every day to stay ahead of the caterpillars.
I would also drench the plant when I sprayed it...

After the first day or 2, I'd be picking off 5 or 6 dead/dying caterpillars every morning...
Actually, that part was kind of fun...🤪
