MedSci!
Yeah, I gotta get in there to see what I can do for Quadlining in the bigger tent still. I got interrupted today and only got the smaller tent done. Pinch and bend, Trala is right! LOL

QUAD UPDATE:
I did get to continue a qood quadline on Blueberry Cheese #1. Before I left, I transplanted her into a 5g pot and started tying her 4 tops down, letting her insides fill in. And yes, it was gentle pinch and bends.
When I got home, she looked like this…
You can see she is continuing a really nice quad with her cross shape, but now growing out super nicely in the center with at least eight more possible tops filling in the middle.
From the side, you can see I lst’d her original four tops with clothes line (bends easy and holds good) and office binder clips. That’s how I secured all four tops to the side of the pot, opening up the center.
From the side above, you can see how the growth in the middle is growing upward. But those original four tied down tops will always work real hard to stay on top, so today I adjusted them to slightly lower than that center growth, making it look like this from the side now …
Leaving the center growth slightly higher than those four tops. The purpose for me is to keep those multiple center tops fairly even across so they can all grow up to be nice colas instead of just the four outer tops. Keeping those four outer tops tied a bit lower than the center allows them all to stay fairly even. Hope that makes sense.
Many of the pro quadders continue this to get a whole lot more top colas than I will do - and they use larger pots which allows a much larger plant. I don’t have the room to continue to those size plants. But you can see at this stage I have gone from one initial top, to four, and now adding eight more, making 12 tops from what was once just one. This is the main basics of a quad (I think)
.
But there is more… removing under growth that won’t amount to much anyway is another part. In this next pic, I tried to show a growth sprouting on the underside of a stem…
You can see the growth that started downward and is having to work to curve back upward for light. These growths are removed in quading. I will be removing these but I want more clones so I will let them grow just a bit bigger before taking.
CLONE UPDATE:
And on to the two little clones I took. They have both rooted, one growing roots into the bottom wicking system, the other not as many roots. Both were transplanted today into 3g fabric pots. Both have yellowed leaves, so they will now have to grow better root systems to survive. I only watered directly around these babes to encourage root growth. I also added myco+ to the root area when transplanting, hoping to help them.
Here are the Blueberry Cheese clones today…
That’s it for today’s updates! Tomorrow is another day. Plum run outta steam for today!
Hope this finds everyone happy and healthy with great growing girls!
