Grandpa Tokin's RDWC & Timber COBs

Three Strains - One RDWC - Welcome To My Madness

Heres the post on the oil run. Turned out OK I guess, didn't look anything like yours though. I gave a bit to my son and he gave it to a buddy of his that dabs all the time. All my son told me was that his buddy went to change his pants and put the clean ones on backwards. I spose thats a good sign. Might get brave and try it myself today.

Gt, puts another one under the table.. Hehe

I see it in your plants and thought I would ask others input. The top leaves look ripply ( Best way to describe I guess ) seems as the leaves get older they smooth out. Any idea what that is or cause? Don't seem to hurt nothing that I can see just an observation I seen in mine and in others post's as well.

Awesome! That’s how I make all my oils now.

I see what you’re saying. I believe that is a genetic trait that is more prevalent in some strains. It’s natural for all new growth, but some are more “ripply” than others. Then there’s lighting and camera angle and that too.

Thanks Jack!

Nice work on those scrogs

Thank you Sara!

Hey Grandpa, did ya miss me man? Did you ever figure out what cause that giant ph rise back a couple weeks?

I did miss you! Are your fingers sore from trimming all that bud? No...I probably put something in there that wasn’t supposed to be there. Oh well, I managed to fix it...

Looking good man.. I bet any of that oil would have me lateral for a while hahahaha

It can be some potent stuff for sure.

re: Grandpa Tokin's RDWC & Timber COBs

Day 12 of flower and the Raspberry Cough Medicine is still alive! Woohoo! Seriously, all looks okay to me. I’ve learned a few valuable lessons with my RDWC setup. Firstly, from my last grow, don’t mix different strains in the system. Secondly, don’t mix different phenos either...just now learning that one. There’s always exceptions to everything...

Anywho, these two girls are totally different plants even though they are the same strain. That’s not uncommon whatsoever and naturally I knew that beforehand. Livin life on the edge man! LOL! One of them is short and squatty while the other is huge and bulky. The shorter one is already showing open flowers, but the bigger one is not far behind. I can tell that the shorter girl is a little sensitive to the nutes already. That may be a problem later. Oh well, things are what they are. You can’t unring that bell. :tokin:

Enjoy your day!

Oh yeah, I want to congratulate all the contest winners this month/year. There’s a few of them in here! If you haven’t taken the time to look at the contests and vote then I encourage you to do so. PEACE!

Lookin good grandpa t.. funny you go to grow a strain and get two totally opposite plants. I see that a lot now which tells me they have been in the gene pool for quite some time. After f2s you get a lot of varying phenos ive read. Nice strong roots on that little clone! ...

Yeah, I’ve had beans that popped the same damn plants and then those that take on genetics of a great grandmother or something...LOL! It’s all good.

Looks good grandpa, I'm sure you'll be alright with the 2 girls. There's always a short one

I’m not worried. I’ll get some bud.

GT, if you could change anything on your cob rig what would it be? I'm looking to build one in the near future and fact finding

Excellent question! I would add something in the middle—like a Q-board or something with a little different spectrum or different K. I’m not an expert on lighting and not really up on what colors and all that. I can say—because my last grow was my first with only COBs—that the 500w of COBs yielded on par with or slightly better than 1000w hps. I am going to add a Mars Hydro in the next few days for some added colors. It’s all been an experimental journey for me. I wish I knew more to help you.

Roots are coming along nice on the clones.

Thanks JM! I’m so happy I didn’t throw them all out. I really appreciate your encouragement.
