Grandpa Likes To Squeeze Stuff: Solventless Extracts, Rosin, Pressed Here!

That is what I am making is 7 gram pucks.
Are you just hand pressing, or like I am doing, using a fly vice?
Wonder if it makes a difference the amount of pressure and size you make the puck? I would think not.

Shit, I remember getting San Antonio Mini Bricks, one pound very seeded Mexican, very compressed. $55 a pound when we would buy them 10 pound lot's, we would get a shit load of folks and we would all chip in. Some would buy a half most would buy a pound or two.

You’re a mad genius! :high-five:
I try to be.

I bet you still get really f-ed up with it. But that is the point. Be careful kiddos. I am not responsible for vaping fermented pressed weed. Have fun too.

our brick weed int he 80s was acapulco gold. Man I got tired of it, but it was decent stuff.

We used to use a double album cover to get all the seeds out. Tons of them. Mexican schwagg was what we got. Bricks of schwagg. Horrible shit, but we smoked the heck out of it. It would’ve been decent pressed maybe.

I do. I was thinking on Thursday (rain in the forecast) I was going to do some squeezing and might try it. In the name of science.

Rainy day science projects are all fun and games until someone loses an eye... oh wait, those are MY rainy day projects.

Carry on.

Yeah, this was in the late 60's and early 70's

OK, So I did a little test. Press two 7 gram plugs, one was one inch, the second was 1/2 inch. I tried hand pressing the first one (1 inch) but could not get it small enough to get into my machine, so had to lightly squeeze the puck with my fly vice. The second (1/2 inch) was packed tight by the fly vice.

This was not scientific, but this test showed the more compressed puck got 0.131 grams more out of the same press time. Only difference could the the pressure applies, no gauge on my 6 ton pump to get consistent pressure.

To many unknown variables at play here. I like where you where going with it though... You’ve inspired me to pack it tight next time.
