Grandpa Likes To Squeeze Stuff: Solventless Extracts, Rosin, Pressed Here!

I collect it using a dab tool. Snap and pull. Then I grab it with the silicon pad and twist-pull onto the pad. You might want to wear gloves until you get it...it’s pretty sticky-icky.

Dam gramps that looks so dam tastey lol. What temps did u do this squish on it looks darker then normally or maybe I jus dnt remember that good......oh wait I forgot I do have memory issue lol.. great job every1 the squishy look nice lol.

Squishing is so much fun. Really it is.

Right it's an addiction in itself lol. Once I started using docs kit an got my first harvest of those buds an i used the hair straightener method that was the first time I got anything to actually bubble out the side an I was instantly hooked

When evaluating dab presses, what is it that determines the amount you can smash effectively? What is the minimum ton press you would need to smash 7gm-10gm at a time?

It’s probably the best question to be asked to date in this thread. I wish I could give you the definitive answer, but I cannot. 7-10gm at a time is a pretty decent squeeze in my book. Heck I do ~5gm at a time with a 20-ton press in an old barn.

However, I’ve seen some very good stuff come out of a 3-ton press, a 6-ton, a 10-ton, 11-ton, 12-ton...on and on. Like @Blazinjones mentioned I also started with a hair straightener and a hand clamp.

Here’s my take on it at the moment: it’s kinda like shopping for grow stuff (lights, tents, etc.) IMO. You go with whatever you can afford to save up for... :thedoubletake: If reliable transportation is all you need then you probably don’t buy the Mercedes when a Ford will do (even if we all secretly desire the BMW). Okay, not a great comparison, but you know what I’m getting at. There is a technique to squeezing with any press and you’ll quickly learn that. Go with what you can afford and build from there. I started growing with HPS and now have a room full of LEDs...oh wait, we were talking about presses...

It’s only money...doh!

* Edit: I’ve been thinking about this over a few rosin dabs...I’ve come up with the answer to world peace, but not which press is best...

Actually, one of the reasons I like separate plates is so they can be used on different presses. The plates I have on my 20-ton were originally on my 6-ton. So, having plates that can be moved to an upgraded press is my preference.

Boom!

Cob? Hummm, better get on Google!
No need, here is one.:high-five:
There is a more popular thread, but it’s a monster...

Too much to try and not enough time to try it all. But I am going to give it all I got! :)

@SlyTown420

I will flat out say at my consumption levels I struggled with a 3 ton press. My 12 ton could have been purchased cheaper in packages like GPT speaks of, but I wanted an extremely small foot print and they offered upgrades.

The 12 t will press half a zip. Done it multiple times. That is a good stash of squeeze.

Different buyer, different use....just like gpt says with our grow supplies.....

But the important thing is....enjoy looking and learning....I did, and I think I saved money at times in the process.
