Grandpa Likes To Squeeze Stuff: Solventless Extracts, Rosin, Pressed Here!

My buddy just grabbed the dp-rp35 from dabpress off of Amazon.. $300cad... and I grabbed a 12 ton bottle jack from princess auto $50.... now I’ve gotta design the frame for it....so any design recommendations you guys might have I am all ears....

I wanted to use this bad boy... but no one makes 120ton plates... and I ain’t got nearly enough product

If you need design input for fabbing a press you may want to reconsider your path. Ever watched a press frame blow apart? scary stuff.
But if your good with fab and just wanting some aesthetic input that's different.
A pressure gauge is a big one that gets omitted from most lower end units. Without monitoring pressure it's very hard to exactly replicate the conditions your after.
I know you already purchased your bottle Jack but I would personally strongly recommend returning it and picking up one with a built in pressure gauge.

I like the dabpress units that use a remote hydraulic pump. Being able to press inside vs the garage would be nice.

I was just curious whether anyone with a dabpress had anything they would change or alter off their design after pressing with it a few times. It is a fairly simple design to replicate and if I did build one it would be done over kill with thicker steel just to prevent anything from happening. I wouldn’t want to make the news like the idiots that blew up their house this summer past making concentrates lol

But I kijiji’d last night and found a 12ton press/frame for 100... so likely gonna go that route if it is still available.

The DabPress unit is great so far. I love it and am finding it to work very well! Once you learn how the apply the pressure properly to allow the flow of resins then your laughin! Using the right sized micron bags are important as well to get the best quality and yields

Well I want to apologize for wasting everyone’s brain power... What was suppose to be a 50/50 venture has turned into a solo one that doesn’t include me LOL... kinda frustrating since it was my idea in the first place (wanted to see how my flowers squished) ... but what can ya do... maybe I’ll buy a new light or seeds instead lol

:thanks: All again for your advice/support!

A check of the delivery agent for my DabPress says "out for delivery".
I'm not sure which is thicker... my anticipation, or the goo I plan to create.

I’m giddy and it’s not even my delivery...:slide:

Everyone needs one of those "Whaaaa-waaaaa" moments now and then.
Got the pre-press and the screens earlier today, but I now see the ETA for the machine itself is Tuesday.
Apparently the universe felt I needed a touch more anticipation.
Prepress and screens is a start! To bad the wait continues but I know it will be worth it haha! Really it is totally worth it lol!

I’m still here to! I just didn’t feel comfortable blowing up GTs thread with my stuff so I felt it best to start another one! All information is good information and learning is awesome!

Hahaha...blow away! LOL! The more the merrier! :passitleft:
