Grand Daddy Purple S1 & Pre-1998 Bubba Kush S1

You have some good things going on in here Chimp! I really like the look of your mendo purps x purple kush plant. I love me some dark ladies. I'm hoping it s2 project yields you hundreds o viable seeds :cheesygrinsmiley:

The s1s look fairly similar to the original that you have under them. Hopefully they get some color. It may be hard to judge if it's warming up where you're at though.

What I it about the pre 98 you aren't liking? Is it just the shine to the leaves? From what I've seen in the high brix threads that is usually a sign of good health though it may not apply in your set up.
 
I can't figure it out either. The only difference with that plant is that it's in a larger pot (I think 3 gallon). For the other ones (the bucket on the left):

2 gallons of RO water
2 tsp. of unsulfured molasses
2 tsp. FF All Purpose granular fertilizer (5-5-5)
1 tsp. of powdered Superswell (0-7-0)
2 tsp. of liquid Maxicrop (5-1-1)
1 tsp. of soft rock phosphate
1 cup of compost
1 cup of earthworm castings

24 to 48 hours of bubbling, then a 50/50 dilution with RO water; they should be ready for a watering by then. :)
 
I'll get a pic of that GDP up under a better light when I chop it in a day or two so you can see the colors better.
All 3 Phantom Cookies reg seeds I grew out from that same company were male, which is why I've been leery of doing Bay 11, OG Kush, Purple Dream, Ken's Kush, and Candyland (I've got seeds of them all in my stash). I think I may have something else of theirs too.
I'm looking forward to seeing these S1s at the end; to me they look slightly different than the original. Having fem seeds is going to be cool. :thumb:
I may have effed the Pre '98 up more because I fed it some compost tea last night. It was mostly P in the mix so I hope it works out. I think the Mendo Purps x Purple Kush is gonna like it. :)

Note: I started a 2 gallon mix of compost tea bubbling this morning (the same mix as last time) and also mixed in a bowl -

1/2 cup of Alaskan forest humus
1/2 cup of earthworm castings
1 cup of mushroom compost
4 Tbsp. of baby oatmeal
4 tsp. of kelp meal
1/2 tsp. of soft rock phosphate
enough RO water to dampen this mix

It's sitting on top of my warmest tent in the dark (with a lid laying on top of it but not sealed). I'm hoping to see the beard like fungus they talk about develop on top of the soil so I can toss it in a bucket next week and give it the ol' bubbledee-boo! :tokin:
