Grand Daddy Purple S1 & Pre-1998 Bubba Kush S1

Thanks I think so too. Here's the four S1s of it, doing okay so far. I fed them all some of AN's Iguana Juice grow because I think the nutes in that organic soil take a while to break down:

Note: Today I mixed this up to use in about 3 weeks -

Base -
(3) 2 gallon pots of Nectar of the Gods soil
(3) 2 gallon pots of SSM#4 Advanced
6 cups of Alaskan forest humus
6 cups of earthworm castings
6 cups of perlite

Amendments -
1 cup of Chikittee Doo Doo 5-3-2
1 cup of Azomite
1/4 cup of Superswell 0-7-0
1/4 cup of humic acid
6 Tbsp. of kelp meal 1-0-2
6 Tbsp. of granular mycos 3-1-2
3 Tbsp. of organic foothill fertilizer .5-4-4
3 Tbsp. of steamed bone meal 3-15-0
3 Tbsp. of rock phosphate 0-3-0
6 Tbsp. dry molasses

I poured 1 gallon of RO water into the mix, and I'll use it in about 3 weeks for a few of my grows.

Hey what's up? :tokin: The way I do my signature, everything listed on it is an active thread (so I can go to them quickly).
The 600 watt HPS helped some; I got an even oz. from this plant :) GDP:

The next tea I made isn't a true compost tea. It's the recipe for Chikketty Doo Doo's manure tea, and I'll be using it on these plants in about an hour. I'll try to get some pics up soon too.

The kind of backwards L shape is where all of the GDP S1s are; the Mendo Purps/Purple Kush is on the middle left of them in this pic (they're ready to be fed too):

I'm putting this GDP clone from the original in this grow to compare things to. I'm trying to get it somewhat flat (the yellow plant on the left is another GDP I'm using as a mother plant):

This Pre '98 is underfed and light bleached; I think it takes time for the nutes in this Nectar of the Gods soil to activate:

I poured that aerated tea right over the leaves on all of the plants to try to foliar feed them too. :)

A GDP clone from the original, somewhat LSTed:

This tent is gonna be more open in a few days so I can put 2 of those GDP S1s in and start the S2 project. I think I have a GDP clone I can put in there for a backcross too. :)

Note: I took a clone from one of the S1s today. I think I'll root it and use it for the S1 plant I'm going to pollinate to make S2 seeds. I'll colloidal silver spray the top of the shortest GDP S1 plant I have. I may need to take another GDP clone from the original, but since it's just for seeds I may use a yellowed up clone I have of it. This is going to be done under a 125 watt red spectrum CFL.
The remaining three GDP S1 plants (two normal plants and the one topped plant), that LSTed GDP original clone, the topped Pre '98 Bubba plant, and the Mendo Purps x Purple Kush plant are all going to get grown a little longer, transplanted into my mix, then put under a 400 watt HPS set at 11.5/12.5.

I have a pre '98 Bubba Kush as well, in soil. Bought the clone from a local dispensary after trying the bud... had her about two weeks now, I posted under journals but noone has looked... :( here's my link if you wanna check it out Pre-1998 Bubba Kush Soil Grow

I cant wait to see how these all turn out Chimp. Have you had any issues with any of the GDP S1s you have run going hermi on you? I was reading a journal the other day and it got mentioned that once you hermi a plant to get selves seeds that trait can be dominant and is likely to show up in 25-30% of the offspring give or take.

I haven't had one of the others hermie so far. That's interesting to know; I'll keep my eyes open just in case.

Don't expect a big yield from the Bubba. It doesn't stretch much in flower, so you can grow it longer to get more.

I have them all together for now. I have to clean my locker out for the GDP S2 breeding tomorrow. Here's a pic:

The Bubba is top left, there's a yellowed GDP plant I'm going to use for a mother plant once I get it healthy again next to it, my LSTed GDP plant is top right, middle left is the Mendo Purps x Purple Kush plant, and the rest are the four GDP S1 plants (the clone I took is under the canopy).

That's why I'm doing this project here to make sure I always got some! :)

I think I can go without topping the GDP S1 plant in the back, but if I have to I will. It's going to be one of the mothers for the S2s (reversed to itself?). The clone in the front is from the original and it's going to be pollinated also (backcross to the original unstable GDP mother?). These two started in bloom today:

If this were a tikk-tak-toe board with nine squares, numbered like a book from top to bottom left to right (one being the top left), these are:
1 - Pre '98 Bubba Kush (Katsu cut)
2 - Overlap of original GDP plant (3)
3 - Original GDP plant
4 - Topped GDP S1 plant
5 - Mendo Purps x Purple Kush plant
6 - overlap of original GDP plant (3)
7 - GDP S1 plant
8 - Original GDP plant I'm keeping as a backup (until the latest clone takes)
9 - GDP S1 plant

I'm going to start another one of the GDP S1s in bloom for the father next week. I have colloidal silver solution left over from a while ago, but I think I'll make some new stuff to be sure. I'm doing an aerated manure tea for them all tomorrow too.

Note: All 3 parents are in the locker and under the 125 watt red spectrum CFL running at 11.5/12.5. I have distilled water now, so I can start the new colloidal silver solution any time; I might do it today. Unlike the last time I did these S1s (with the exception of a little variation in each plant), they all seem to look like the GDP mother I made them from (exact replicas).
Because of the low yield under the 125 watt CFL I decided to top both GDP S1 plants so more branches can catch pollen. I think I'll get more seeds this way. I'll decide which to use as the CS treated father tomorrow when I start.
The two GDP S1 plants I have left are the one with variation (taller for no apparent reason; I topped it), and a natural plant (untopped and untrained). Next Wednesday will be 3 weeks of cooking for the soil mix I made; I'll transplant them and grow for another 7-10 days before I start them all into bloom.

Man run of bad luck going on here; my TDS meter crapped out on me I just let the silver solution go for about 6 hours until it was kind of dark. I hope it works. I'm treating the cut top of the back plant in this pic (you can see the stain on the wall):

The rest got fed some manure tea yesterday. Here they are:

I'm glad to hear that they all seem to be pretty uniform PC. You have some lovely genetics and it will be good if you are able to preserve them. They should only be more stable with this second cross! :thumb:

Note: All of these are transplanted into 2 gallon pots of the soil mix I made (two GDP S1s, one Pre '98 Bubba Kush, one Mendo Purps x Purple Kush, and one LST'ed original GDP) with the exception of the Bubba Kush , which I put into a 3 gallon pot. It's almost 12 weeks old today (grown under a weak light, though) so I wanted to use a bigger pot to get more weed. The GDP S1s are 9 weeks today, and the Mendo Purps x Purple Kush is 6 weeks and 4 days old (I'm not sure how old the LST'ed GDP is; probably around 10-12 weeks). I put them all into flower today, and I'll get pics when the lights come on tonight.
