Man your girls are looking lush!! Good training too. well formed plant. Gonna blow up soon!! Happy Saturday!!😎✌️

Will you be building up the support frames for them as they start to pack on weight?
I am planning to put in the bamboo support poles for Gorilla Glue #4, but I'm not sure about the others. Godzilla Glue #4s stems seem thicker and stronger, so I'm not sure she'll need any assistance, and the SIP is big and heavy enough that I doubt she could be blown over by the winds we get here.
Space Lemons seems to have decided she likes the height she's at, and I'm expecting more sativa type buds from her, so she might not need it either.
Gorilla Glue #4 has hollow stems, and they're not very thick. I'm not sure this freebie seed is giving me a good impression of how the strain grows normally, but it's the buds that matter. There should be another month of veg before these girls shift to flower, so I'm reserving judgement until I've seen the harvest. Even then, if it's a terrible yield of excellent buds I might be willing to grow it again. Especially outdoors.

Thanks Scottay!
2 or 3 weeks until they start to stretch!

Today's pics.

They're getting wide enough it's difficult to get overhead shots.

All right, I've come to a decision.
Next year I'm growing 3 plants, only instead of two 7 gallon pots, I'm going to use a 15 gallon.
That way I can take two clones, and grow one in the SIP, and one in an equal volume of soil in a fabric pot.

Wish you could still climb up the scaffolding?
Lol, nope!
I used to work for a plaster company. I've been up more than enough scaffolds in my time.
No way am I climbing up one these days without getting paid!

I'm late as usual, Mel. But getting to catch up all in one sitting this morning was a blast. There are so many pics in this journal that by the time I got to this last page I felt like I knew each plant intimately!

And they are all lovely. Kudos to you (and all outdoor growers) for your demonstrated calm as something began to eat holes in your leaves. Some (me) would be immediately full of dread and preparing for the worse -- in other words, overreacting!

Anyway, glad I found your current grow. Carry on! :Rasta:

Thanks GDB! I'm glad you're here!

We have tiny little stigmas on Godzilla Glue #4 and Cherry Bomb, and vase shaped preflowers forming on Gorilla Glue #4. Space Lemons isn't so lucky. Unfortunately my phone decided to focus on the stem, but the preflower is looking like a lobster claw. I'll try to get better pics this afternoon when it shouldn't be so breezy back there.

Happy Wednesday!! Everything is looking lush!! Rock on!! 😎✌️🎶
Thanks Scottay!
I was kinda partial to the Cherry Bomb early on and rooting for it to climb out of its cage, but that beast of a Godzilla is really a looker!
Cherry Bomb is still my favourite, but I am really impressed with Godzilla Glue #4!
I just have to keep up with the slug bait!

plants are getting big & looking great the GG looks to of out grown its support cage

I decided not to wait, and to give the macro setting a try. They're definitely looking like male preflowers to me.

On a more positive note, I double checked the Gorilla Glue #4 preflowers and at least a couple have tiny stigmas.

Thanks con!
It's time for the bamboo to be added to the frame. I didn't do it last year, but I did the year before.
It'll look something like this.

Was the Space Lemons a regular seed?
I guess so. I really had next to no info about it aside from the name.
I also have 2 or 3 more, but I'll save them for a breeding project I've had in mind, assuming I get another male.

Whoops!
Took some pics yesterday, but I forgot to post them.
Things are pretty much the same. I'm watering the ones in fabric pots every other day, and filling the SIP daily. She hasn't quite emptied it by evening yet, but it's dry by morning.

Other than that, Space Lemons has been stretching her upper internodes, as has Gorilla Glue #4. They're still putting out leaves, but they've also started the zigzag pattern of growth I associate with getting ready to flower. Cherry Bomb has the very beginning too.
I'll start posting shots of one of the growth tips soon.
I was also talking to a new neighbour who amends his soil with some sort of granular organic stuff. As far as I can tell, it's the usual ingredients in LOS/TLO soils, composted, and then pelletized. He says it's meant to be added to fresh compost, and then mixed into the soil, right before you transplant. He adds some Jobe organic fertilizer spikes (4-4-4) in late July as the plants are going into flower.
He says he's getting the same results with this mix as he did in his homemade organic soil, and he doesn't have to store any amendments.
His plants look great so far, so I'm interested to see how it works out. I'll let you guys know.

Thanks for stopping by!

We might have a problem. Godzilla Glue #4 might have been infected with phytoplasma.

As some of you may know, last year I had a Lemonchello Haze which had some discoloured foliage and buds. Its symptoms matched a disease known as phytoplasma.
It didn’t end up killing the plant, and didn't spread too much. Just 3 buds showed symptoms. But I believe that it delayed the onset of flowering, meaning that plant didn’t have enough time to reach its full potential.
It is spread by sap sucking insects, especially leafhoppers, and has been moving North for quite some time

I'll keep an eye on it, and hopefully this is a false alarm.

Edit: That screenshot is from Wikipedia.

You'll look back on these days fondly when you're filling 2+ times a day!
Hmm. I spend 10 to 15 minutes per fabric pot watering by hand, while filling the SIP reservoir takes about 20 seconds.
I'm not that lazy, lol!
