GodSpeed's 2L Hempy SOG

Hi Crower thanks for dropping by brother, yeah im hoping for somthing nice from the AK i read that it is mena be very pungent! If it was me id go for both :) ha i have pineapple chunk and it is supposed to be very nice, pictures iv seen are amazing to.

Congrads again on the badass results from your scrog, have you made a decision on what you will be running in a srog next?

Hi Godspeed -

First, congrats on the MOTM nomination. You have become a great contributor here, and are a really nice guy. :welldone:

I like your plan on the seeds, and it will be interesting to see how things turn out. Your little ones in veg look great! :thumb:

How i love winter :) my cab temps are prime and my humidity is just under my ladies prefrence. During night time temps can drop prety low so i hooked up a thermostat and run a 100w ceramic heat lamp, I have 2 chinese water dragons so i had the parts lying around the house.

I made a decision to germinate 4 new strains, i use the old paper towel trick as i know this works and is efficent, yesterday after seeing that my seeds had shown there little radicle's i droped them in all mix. After returning from work i found all to be out of there shells and broken the surface, 2 of the seedlings are progressing a little bit better then the other 2 but im sure all will turn out even.

My 2 ladies in late seedling early veg are coming along nicely, root growth has been very fast and top growth is picking up. I have decided to grow all my mothers in soil including the monsai's, this will mean my veg room will be soil and my flower room will be hydro (Hempy).

All mix is not designed for germinating or young seedlings realy, i have always used All mix (except my first grow) with great results, it contains 5% fertiliser and often this can burn young seedling, iv found that most strains take to all mix very well and very few are effected by the added food it contains. For most people this is an off put but i use this to my advantage and get an early indication of how my girls take to there food i.e heavy feeders and light feeders, i have never had any die in the mix!

As you can see this is worse effects of All mix.. slight burn, new growth is all healthy and coming through sweet. From germination my girls in All mix i can tell that the northan lights will need a faction lighter feed then the AK this helps me with feeding later down the line.

Again everything is slow here due to the loss of my mother but soon it will pick up. I have white rhino in the cloner, temps are a little low in the res so rooting is slow i am going to get a tank heater to speed things up, i see 60% of them with root bumps.

I am still getting used to my new camera so please bare with me.

:peace:

Thank you Xlr8 , there are so many members here that have inspired me (including yourself) to push myself and up expectations of my skills (Minimal ATM!), it makes me very happy you believe i bring somthing good to the comunity and was very suprised and flattered to be nominated for MOTM, Twelve12 is a very nice guy with excellent skills and a humble ora, just being nominated by him makes me a winner and has boosted my determination and dedication to become a better member and grower of the 420 comunity.

Thank you again Twelve12 :Namaste:

My veg girls are kinda in "autopilot" as i dont realy do much apart from try to keep there enviroment "perfect" for them, water from time to time. I plant to germinate 10 regulars and try to get as many females as possible using a few simple enviroment changes and offering a slightly diffrent meal to what most would at that age, from what i have read in the first 2 weeks of a seedlings life alot can determine there sex, with simple minipulation sexing could be down to growers discretion.

:peace::Love:

I seriously have missed a lot in my absence but I am back(for the most part) and I caught up with everything. Seems like things hit a bump but you are picking back up. Great strain Lineup and I am looking forward to it all. :thumb:

Miwa i used to be the same and didnt like to buy regular seeds, as of lately iv been kinda wanting a male to experiment with, its a good step to get deeper involved in the world marijuana. I could see breeding being vey therapeutic and am super excited what sex i may end up with. Iv been checking out your journal bro doing a great job! :thumb:

ThatOneGuy welcome back you have been missed here, i am happy to see you are catching on to the growing fast you have done a good job! Well impressed with your first grow and im sure you will have many many more great harvest's to come.

Yeah i seemed to hit a big bumb, i should of been more medicated it might not of hurt some much... well many more ladies to come :)

I definately am going to get into breeding...but for practicing..i think i will go with male bag seed while learning how to caPTURE AND store pollen...

Now the fun begins. I love it when you can see them grow at that early veg stage. I need to read back afew pages. But I like the choices so far. Keepem Green

Miwa i am currently in the process of setting up my room for a good breeding area, i will be kicking off a new thread in a few days with an introduction and my first strains, keep an eye out for it bro it will be a learning curve for me and hope it can help others out 2.

Welcome snowskate328 make yourself at home, will be more happening in weeks to come.

Norcaliwood indeed it does, i have germinated more strains in the hope it will up my success rate, i have a few reg's in the mix so that should shake things up abit!

:)

Thanks guys!

kicking off with some bad news, Top skunk 44 - Regular didnt make it but out of all that was germinated im glad it wasnt any of the others.

Good news the other three are looking healthy and growing well, seems thay have taken a liking to the All Mix, they are all showing there first set of spikeys and seemed to be level in progression, Purps is pushing just in front.

The 2 girls in veg are doing realy well, i am currently just watering when needed, any food required is being leeched from the soil, once i start seeing signs of hunger i will pick up a small feed for them. Last night i checked on there progress in the small cups and both had become root bound, i wasnt sure what to pot them in and come to a decision on using a few of the 3 Litre Air Pots. The Ak suffered a little shock but my morning she had purked up and was enjoying the new space for her roots, let see how they like the pots.

New Thread on breeding

Selected strain;
Kc Brains - Afghani Special ~ Reg

This is a hidden gem, last year i had 2 of these both female and the smell was unbelievable with a HEAVY Indica stone, both ladies were diffrent, similar in size and smell but bud growth on one was very special (i will relate to her as A). A's bud growth was like none i had seen before with calyx's were very large almost double in size compared to the other, they were very dense and had 85% flower to leaf ration. I am hoping that i get the gem again and it wasnt 1000 - 1 chance of seeing this amazing genetic.

More will be explained on the breeding and what genetics will be involved once thread is live.

I am still trying to get to grips with the white balancing settings on my camera, they are prety close to there actual colour but with a little tweek they could be better, once i figure the colour out i will work on gettting the pictures a better quality.

Thanks for reading guys

Sucks about top skunk 44... Glad the others made it and everything is looking well!! Im very excited for you to start your breeding. AK 48 and NL are looking good after their transplant!! :thumb::welldone:

im so excited that so many of us are looking at breeding, i think its important to the hobby, and the plant in general, i believe there will be more "gems" and great new strains coming to the scene , a truly exciting time in cannabis culture!!:thumb::high-five:

All of the breeding I've seen on here and few other sites has really got me excited to try to cross some strains!! Then I got to meet the 2011 sativa winner of cannabis cup. Rare Dankness won with moonshine haze. I got to chat with them for awhile. They were really cool guys and really got me excited to start breeding!!

Someday I hope we all win a

Nice sprouts...looking at the before and after AK...i got a bag seed(18 days old)..was looking real good under cfl...had it under MH last night..about 2 feet from light..this morn plant was drooping...wht do u think..too soon for that much light???

Thanks Miwa :)

I dont usaly give my babys HID lighting intill they have about 4-5 sets of leaves, that being said you shouldnt have any problems under intense lighting as long as it is far anoth away. If they are suffering up it 3 foot should resolve the stress.

I currently use 4 x T8 6500k flo tubes 18w push 1300 Lumens a peice , seedlings never been happier, i am waitng for 4 x T5 ballasts to arrive they will alow me to run 2 x T5 6500K Triphosphor coated tubes 54W push 4752 Lumens a tube per ballast. My veg room will be 8 of these tubes and will hold my mothers, seedlings and clones.

BigIrishDoode, hope your well brother

I couldnt agree more, i look at it as it's a way of giving somthing back, my genetics will probably never see anyone elses garden but hey. For people who grow this beautifull plant not just for the meds but as a hobby are missing out on the most exciting part, the mystery, excitment, creation and lease of new life that we the grower (sorry breeder :) ) are determining the outcome of how that plant forms in size, smell, taste, apperience and potency....

I hope in time all the beeders here are able to offer there genetics for fellow 420'ers to try.

:high-five:
