GodSpeed's 2L Hempy SOG

As always i like to get the worries out the way, AK has a couple of sets of leave (middle) having the claw the tips browning, I've seen this before and it was too much nitrogen but as i am on all mix with no added nutes I'm sceptical this is my problem, in the past iv notices all mix to be inconsistent with the food so if it is Nitrogen she will grow out of it. During lights out I've been running a ceramic heat lamp, this is good but as it doesn't show any light i kind of made a school boy error of thinking it was heating up every night, 'BLOWN' so for the last 3 nights she has been dropping to uncomfortable temps, i am not convinced this is my problem as AK is the only effected and only 2 sets of leaves. After checking a few things i have come to the conclusion to let her be and keep an eye on her to see if problem continue i have a feeling she will grow out of it, if anyone has any ideas please feel free to share.

Northern lights is really taking off, the beauty in here thick indica rubber like leaves and squat structure, stretching the diameter of here canopy daily. After the first burn on her leaves no other problems have arisen, she seems to be happy with whatever is chucked at here be it cold temps or a over analysing gardener. I see her roots have just hit the bottom of her air pots and can imagine the structure of her roots are building, still no signs of needing food so will be keeping my eye on them for their first feed.

The aero cloner has been a bit disappointing, dealing with low res temps there has been minimal if any root growth, i purchased a water heater (100L fish tank jobby) left it in there over night and its a duff* one thing doesn't heat up although the light comes on, so i will be returning this and buying a new one. I have a clone from WR in root riot that is fully rooted and just started showing new growth, i will be training her into a bonsai and keeping an eye on her for her mothers signature trait.

All three new varietys are looking great with no ill effects from the All Mix, Purps is looking amazing with here wide leaves and already slightly blue compared to all the others, still young there is still very little to report, watering when needed and will be transplanted into larger pots soon. OG has seemed to be taking over with the the fastest growth with leaves being very long and narrow, bringing all these different variety's to a sea of green is going to be a difficult task due to all the different structures they all hold, my main objective is to find a few strains similar in height and growth rate that i can work with to master the SOG. SW is looking very similar to OG with here long narrow leaves, i am expecting to see good things from her in the 2 Litre bottle and hope i can find another variety to keep her company in the SOG.

Breeding

I've been doing a lot of preparation and studying to kick off my breeding programme, i am yet of start a journal for this as my girls are still in early days and much like my 2Litre Journal would fill up with tumbleweed, so i will drop a few lines in here just for some reference in later dates. 1 of the 2 selected females for the breeding programme will also be going in to the SOG.

After germinating 10 Afghani specials, in under 24 hours all showed there taps so i sowed in to All Mix, all have broken the soil and are showing their first set of spikey.

I am getting very stretched on the footprint of my FLO tubes and working my hardest to get the breeding area ready for the girls, this is limiting my online time so sorry guys I'm trying to keep up with all your journals.

:Namaste:

I hear you on keeping up with journals.... it's so easy to just hit the like button sometimes :thumb:

I don't think that little spot or "claw" is bad, do you see a slight fading by the edges of the fan leafs? The 2nd and 3rd pic look like they are showing some Cal/mag def.

Good looking seedlings man, just cover them up to their necks and they will stay steady. Good luck with the breeding plans and everything. :Namaste:

First the tips brown then the edges of the leaves lighten then turn rusty they are soft to touch no crisp, it is moving up the plant slowly taking the fans from bottom up, I am watering with half RO and half tap. Will be a first for me experiencing cal mag if this is what it is. Have u seen this before?

Interesting about fake seeds. The length people go for profits. Not sure why other seed bank don't carry DJ's gear. Only a few places have them and they are not 420 Magazine sponsor. The man is a legend and all retail seed bank should carry his genetics. Good to hear you got a replacement. I hope things are changed now from previous complaints.

Ooops wrong thread, Looking good here too though GS:high-five: I'm reading back and forth between yours and someone else's thread, I'll be back to finish yours in a few....

Sorry about that^^I was posting in someone elses thread but switched over to yours for a second and forgot to switch back! Man this journal is great too GS, +Reps on a job well done!:high-five:
Seems everyone is catching "breeding Fever"! I know I have had it for a while now, and will be making seed on my next grow coming up in January!
I'll be watching you with that CS, so do us proud brother! (No preassure:rofl:)

Yeah, I'm sure I've had it more than a couple times... I got the Botanicare one and add it to my feedings and water..my water is from a well but I still got that problem once in a while.. not since I started putting in 1/4 tsp.

I poped in the hydro shop on my way home and they dont sell CalMag....In fact 3 shops in the area do not sell CalMag:hmmmm::hmmmm::hmmmm:
I was offered a product call Metrop CalGreen that seemed to have excesive calcium also shows it contains magnesium, nitrogen, iron.... well all macro and micro nutrients 250ml £35.....:whoa: the sales pitch had me hypnotised :trance: NOT.

Why they dont sell CalMag is beyond me but seems there is not call for it here, i question a few things and they offer me this product for this and that product for that and half of what they are telling me doesnt make sense, just trying to make money i think.

Update

Checked out Ak when i got home and the problem has stabilised, no more growth effected i lightly flushed them yesterday to try and leech some of the nutes out, mayb it was nute burn after all.

Thanks everyone for your input :Namaste:

Edit: Iv just been reading that the metrop is mena be the bolloks but £35...

Lol no worries Quix things can get messy when your in the zone, will be watching for your breeding programme.

:peace::Love:

Cool thanks GS, but I wouldn't exactly call what I'm going to do a breeding program...More like, just making some seeds lol. I don't have the space, or experience just yet to do any REAL "breeding". Phenotype selection takes dozens, if not hundreds of plants to achieve. I'll simply be making seeds to keep myself in the meds....Someday, I hope....

miwa thanks for the link bro not sure if they sell that here in the uk, i have ordered some colloidal silver that iv read does the job should be here soon.

snowskate there are some excellent Diy tut's on 420 check them out, simple.

Twelve12 i never knew they had been crossed just check it out and there are banks selling them, oh well still cant wait that is if purps is male of course. I had a bit of trouble with getting hold of DJ Shorts and have been ripped off not sure if you have read but ill explain.

All of DJ's varietys have mutant phenotypes with the crinkle leaf defect from an old school chocolate thai.
These are usually the best specimens but this is not always the case.
If you've sprouted 10 DJ seeds and have yet to see a mutant variation, red/purple all the way to a deep chocolate color stalks and petioles chances are you've been ripped off.

I payed over £100 for 10 Blueberry all germinated the same with no traits i was told to look out for, all grew to be absolutly GREEN with no blue i made a complaint along with many others, in the end DJ short release he had never sold to the bank i got them from, i got a full refund and 10 free seeds, boy they had an "ATTITUDE". ;)

Anyways there are a few that claim to have the genuin and i have been advise from someone who grows DJ S that seedboutique has his genetics < not sure if thats breaking rules. The thing is iv read realy BAD things from them so.

Edit: This might of changed since i ordered..

Interesting! The Blueberry I grew had twisty weird leaves in veg, but nothing weird in flower. It was textbook blueberry looks wise. I knew the twisty leaves were common in Blueberry, didn't know it was somewhat to be expected...

Hope things are well with you Godspeed!

Ok guys these comments are good but need to ask for some help again.. the suggestion to cover them up to their neck was given with the shot of the seedlings which are just showing first sets of true leaves. Is the suggestion to cover them with medium at this point? so the pictures of that would be someone adding medium to these new shoots's "necks" so that means half of the stem covered with medium like a turtle neck sweater? is this watered or waited on until the stem hardens a bit?
am i in the wrong forum again? oops if so.
gotta make more posts so I can send private requests for these dumb questions. I am trying to pay attention!

There are no dumb questions my friend! :Namaste:

If your little girls are, say two inches above the soil, some of us add more soil.
The reason....the covered stems will sprout more roots and the plant will be have more stamina and the stem will be much stronger. :thumb:

I know what you mean on the space, my selcetion will only come from about 20 seedlings hoping i can find somthing magical from a couple of them, idealy a warehouse would be the way to go!

So i havnt updated in a wile and things have moved on prety far, my garden sitter has only been following some instructions i wrote out so there needs to be some dosage changes, trimming in places and some potting up. Unfortunately there was an incident and my camera was droped, i am sending this one off and waiting for a new one to arrive in the mean time i will be back to my phone camera.

I have picked some bits and bobs up from the hardware store and will be making a fan controller with a thermostate, this will further help me dial my enviroment in to ideal conditions, reason for added thermostat is because im lasy and make things more efficent. Ill show you how iv wired it all up tomorrow with one of the update, thermostatically controlled fans for £30

Hope everyone has had a great christmas and is ready for the new year!
