GiGaBaNE's 3rd & Final Journal - At Least Until I Change Country

mine is a cheap ass PH meter. im expecting it to die any time soon.

You and me both, all the way from China, funny how times change, cheap ass meant 'Made in Taiwan' in my youth.

:hookah:

I also shattered the little glass bubble at the end, since appreciating how easy it is to break, I have got 2 years of use, almost every day, tested the accuracy after 12 months and still 100%.

I shouldn't concern yourself with over use of the meter,

There is still no evidence to contradict the ‘Hermie is in its DNA’ argument that I can see. If it’s going to hermie it will, if given the ‘stress’ conditions. I think Alaskan1 wrote the last comment I read saying this.:thumb:

In fact, the tests carried out on your particular auto seed(s) lend more support to the ‘hermie-possibility is in its DNA than it does ‘It(they) might hermie as a result of stress’.

With non-pedigree dogs breeding, every so often a puppy of the litter might demonstrate a throw-back to a previous ancestor and look completely different to its siblings, the same might occur with a %age of seeds you produce with crossbreeding 2 strains that has been tested and trialled extensively, over many generations. I would not assume all seeds produced will grow the same adult plants.

All sounds very negative, don’t mean to be, cross breeding has resulted in the Plethora of tremendous seeds on sale, without cross breeding we would all be growing half a dozen varieties and cross breeding like Mad, resulting with a Plethora of varieties, with only a vague idea of what the seeds might grow.

I admire you willing to push the boundaries, I would be less definite with some conclusions.

Ps. When you succeed I will be the first to beat a path to your door to buy your beans!!

:high-five:

Hey Gig .... where are you moving??

Hey Gig .... where are you moving??

Its complicated.

the short answer would be holland....but that is just a starting base of operations.

i intend to keep a foothold in the uk, have a place in holland, and almost certainly canada (i wont ever live in the US, dont trust your government at all. sinister motives and all that)

i will be looking into other places around the world also that have a more positive outlook on MJ, but i expect my final choice will be a country where i can most successfully apply leverage towards legalisation.
for example, i expect it would cost just a little more to 'bribe/buy' legality in somewhere like UK/US compared to outer mongolia or some micro isliand in international waters.

weed is now the center of my universe, apart from a few business ideas such as saffron farming which give me legitimacy in the uk, my entire ambition is focused on the production of and uses for MJ/hemp

i want in...clothing, paper, medicines, smoking, bio fuels, deep root soil fixation techniques for arid/desert lands, o2 production for eden project like tests....you could spend many lifetimes on finding useful and practical and profitable uses for our beloved plant.

my point of view on the subject is 'if you throw enough crap...some will stick'. i want to be a part of that.

I can relate to that, maybe we should team up for Canadian Cannabis Hempnation domination. I feel like Canada is the place man, make your way over and we will talk.

Canada's not bad. The health care is similar to what UK has (I think). Although, I truely believe that in the next 5 years pot will be legal in the US. I read a story this morning that other states are putting pot on the ballot for medical use. They are sighting all the other states as the reason. They say that the same medical care should be available in every state. Anyway, hope things work out for you.

Keep in mind. In many countries, it's one thing for a person that was born and lives in that country to grow pot. But, it's a whole other thing for some foreigner to come along and try to do the same thing.

If it was me. I think I would move to Thailand. Been there ..... love Thailand.

thats true, their stopping people whi visit amsterdam smoking bud, if you live their then you can smoke it in the cafes and grow some, but if your from another country then its illegal to smoke bud their, this will lose them loads in income from tourists, most people go their for the bud, but if they stop people smoking whilst on holiday then this will cut down the amount of people visiting

Marijuana is already decriminalized in Canada and I figure within 1-3 years it will be legal to smoke, possess and grow. And those my friends will be good days :thumb:

Holland isnt too bad. you just have to sign some citizenship type papers and get a stamp in your passport.
I remember when i did it, i was paranoid i was signing away my British citizenship, but it wasnt as bad as all that, lol.

Well,

Let me know when you get to where you're going ...... so I have someone to smoke with if I ever go on vacation.

:tokin:

its all good. im switching over to DWC for a while. right now i need mass production more than i need the finest homegrown herb, grown in the smartest of airpots and basted to the perfection of hi-brix. i will continue the persuit of perfect soil growing at a later date, what matters now is lots of bud and lots of leaves.

everything included (tobac/papers/weed) i inhale around £130 ($208) worth of smoke per week if my budget allows-and it seldom does =(

between not having to pay for that and with a few small trades with friends e.t.c thats a huge change to the family economy if i can just grow enough of my own.

and to grow a dwc plant you barely need a jug a ph pen a light and a few random nutes. its cheap ass to start one and its a lot cleaner than soil growing. i detest my nails getting dirty, lol.

after this DWC period in my growing life ill be switching to something a bit more like a big trough of perlite with multiple plants sharing rootspace and using some sort of flood and drain with a couple of midrange sodiums above for light and a few 6500k cfls as side lights to minimise stretch. tho i will probably look at something like hydroton instead of perlite as it looks less likely to wash away and settle unevenly, perlite does not like to be watered fast at all =/

anyway ramble over..point is. gigapots will see a return in some form...just not for a while...and im still convinced that hi-brix theory can be applied to hydro through mineralised water...i guess time will tell

random question. didnt really know who's journal to put this in, so ill just post it in my own and hope a reader knows.

people like molasses for the carbs right(and bacteria, but thats another thing). has anyone tried using water that rice has been boiled in?
gotta be a lot of complex carbs in tht

You be thinking of the only ideas that no one else would probably think of. IDK maybe maybe not. But its the rice that would hold most of the carbs so why not just soak the rice after boiling and feed it all to your plants. Most of the rice may or not be soft enough to break up threw the soil. Anythings a possibility
