haha i got no choice but to get into either producing seeds or making clones.
between me and my contacts we smoke rather a lot of weed, if i had to buy every seed i would leave a rather large paper trail.

on paper i want it to look like i got into the odd seed, built up to a small bulk (these 10 seed purchases) then fizzled out into singles again then stopped.

just in case i ever do get audited or any other reason for big brother to take a closer look at me.

lol i would say that 95% of who i am, what i own and what i can do...big brother hasnt a clue. its one of the great advantages of self learning, no one knows what you know.

also i will be moving my operation to the middle of nowhere when i can, like underground bunker style...can hardly get seeds delivered there

i love your thoughts about fort knox...im exactly the same. if i won the lottery, i wouldnt think twice about moving to a country i could have armed personal security walking the battlements, lol =)

I hear ya' my darling. I think that's why this is such a fab hobby/pastime... you can make it as big, small, stealthy etc as your own personal circumstances and preferences dictate. What's right for me isn't right for someone else, but there is always a solution that is. That's why I like it so much

Sorry to hear of another change in course, I will suggest not giving up on clones entirely. Once you get your first rooter you'll be off!

naw its all good, i have at least 3 that are a success and i would prefer cloning as its a bit more clinical.
ive always liked the idea of growing an untamed plant but just taking a 6 inch top from it and turning it into a clone, but my rate of failure means i would probably need to take 4 or 5 clones per plant just to maintain stocks. where as 1 male and 1 female = 50+ plants that are packed in nice tiny armoured shells awaiting my wish for them to grow.

i suppose seeds are what you play with till you find your perfect strain and then thats what you want to be able to clone.

My first ever clone...this has a lot of nodes. i rekon this is an official bonzai, trying to make it grow life sized so i can flower it now. next pic is its roots. and yes that water is brown, its fresh seaweed water (no PH balancing yet)

Looks like things are recovering well. I love the bunk beds. When I become rich I will be an investor in some of your inventions and we can make millions together!

just something i slapped together to boost my puny lights really. that entire room the beds are in is my grow room, i just dont have enough lights yet to make it worth while.

my next grow is when it really starts to get interesting. i want to pop a seed into my new dwc jugs and see how that grows. if all goes well i can see me using tubes to feed my liquid in and a run off tray to catch and reproccess it, using a single res as the master bubbler feeder and just have row upon row of these things.

you will know when my grow is reaching its peak as ill have around 20 x 23w lights on each plant i grow. 4 towers with 5 lights up each. and may even go further, my first draft of the plan had 8 towers per plant put the set up cost is punative.

i know at this point i should start to consider HiD lighting, but i want to see just how far CFL can be pushed, and its more efficient in the sence that upper bulbs can be off till the plant is tall enough to take advantage...you cant really part turn off a sodium bulb

I absolutely love reading your journal my darling. Every time I pop in I've got some other brilliant creation to look at, I'm serious when I say I am in awe of your creative mind combined with the ability to actually make what you envisage! That is a rare talent.

If I ever find any motivation to play around with little inventions a bit more I know where I'm coming for inspiration!

Strange you should say about the HID vs CFLs. I'm actually thinking about having two CFLs towards the bottom of my grow space in order to improve how much light reaches the lower parts of the plants. Will get that set up (finances permitting) before the next photo plant starts.

just remember there are only 3 things that should limit the amount of light you can give a plant... finances, heat and bleaching. if your lucky enough to be able to put so many lumins onto your plant it can turn the plant white...but i wouldnt worry, we are talking ridiculous power. but im guessing a 1kw sodium at point blank range would probably achieve it, lol.

cant believe i got my PH pen in the post today and broke it, lol
its got this tiny glass ball on the end that is VERY fragile. It had some white gunk on it when it arrived, a barely touched it with my fingernail to see if it was wet or dry gunk, lol...the ball shattered like an eggshell being smacked with a spoon. =(

told the guy it arrived broke, lol, but i sweetened the deal, i said if he RMA'd it i would add a humidity sensor to my bill =)

the amazon seller i got my PH pen from gave a full and instant refund and appologised for the inconvenience. i gave him the best possible review my mind could summon and ordered a humidity sensor and a new PH pen from him.

slowly but surely im getting dialed in.

if i ever get far enough to fill a house i will upgrade my journal to a video one.

random question. can anyone think of a liquid i can mix with baking soda without co2 release so i could use it in a drip feeder, but this liquid should be able to evaporate at room temprature and not react with vinegar?

hey GiGa, finally got caught up with your journal, some great ideas mate, that clone looks crazy, was it a re-veg, when i take clones in flower and re-veg them they go crazy and its called monster cropped, i got a sour kush clone thats rooted and in a small pot and now its growing, its got 5 stems growing from the ground, so im thinking this would be great for the scrog, it looks like its got 3 main stems then 2 shorter ones, its about 5 nodes high and less than 6 inches, so this re-veg makes them go crazy, im keeping it in a small pot for now as i might be using it for my scrog so dont want it getting to big by transplanting it into a bigger pot,

but if my plants in flower now take longer to finish then ill put it in a bigger pot and grow it as it is, it should give me plenty of branch growth anyways,

nope none of my current plants have ever reached flower. it was a clone grown in a mini air pot so it auto pruned the roots and made it a bonzai.

I think its food may have been all over the place as it was rooting and same with PH. its now got 2 normal leaves at the top and they are 3 finger leaves but look normal so i think its happier where it is.

one of my other clones that has rooted recently is growing really pale (only being fed seaweed) which is obviously a problem all my dwc plants are facing. hopefully my 2nd ph pen will arrive in the next few days so i can change what i feed them. the plan is to feed them 50%str phosphogen and 50% str seaweed and PH balance to around 6 (want to be able to water my soil plants with the water when im finished with it in dwc as it only stays in there 48 hours tops).

im still tidying my grow room but will try to snap some new photos tommorow (i get my new teeth tommorow morning, lol). my afghan kush is starting to look a lot healthier, i also propose that the indica can tolerate a much hotter soil than the dela haze as i saw almost no sign of nute poisoning on that one .

Don't worry darling, the light won't be too much for them. The way I set the room up is so when they are young they are lifted up a bit (using books mainly ). By the time they get to their big pots the lights at the bottom wont be too close. I've measured and pretty sure there's enough room once I've made the changes I've got up my sleeve, hopefully for this weekend if bits arrive. I bloody hope it is, Ruby needs to go to flower badly, for both of us! lol .

The way I figure is that even if I have cocked up on the measurements (always a distinct possibility) I can use those CFLs to make lights for the "house" plants and seedlings.

But I reckon it's gonna make the girls very happy indeed

sorry this is late, hectic homelife recently...but as of yesterday my autos have pistils!!!! =D

will snap some photo's tommorow. only have 2 hours of light left and there is some major cleaning still to do in that room to get all the junk out and my scattered possesions in. ( we have to much stuff so if i move all mine in there, im a little less selfish about the footprint i leave on the rest of the house, lol.)
i would move my computer in too, but then the family would hardly ever see me.

Edit: just so peeps dont have to trawl back to find a date before my next update. today 04-oct-12 is day 26 of my fast auto's so im guessing saturday coming is the halfway mark =D
