GDB's Thanksgiving Harvest

Hello all and a good Sunday to you!

Damn, GDB- that Purple Dream is fast becoming a monster!
Thanks Carcass. To be honest, she's nearly stretched out of my comfort zone, as I don't like trying to handle tall plants (and I'm not especially good at it).
Chem Dawg #4 did it for me- anxiety and paranoia extrordinaire!
I only smoked it once, one of my son's tried some, and he didn't like it either, so I've got 2 big jars of it that I don't think I even want to use for gummies...probably going to end up in the green waste...
Don't toss it! Make gummies! Even if they're too strong for you, they'll be a lot easier than weed to pack up and mail to a curious distant relative! ;)
Isn't she just becoming a monster :green_heart:
Thanks Carmen. From humble beginnings... :)
Can't you find a someone to give those jars to? Or make the gummies or just oil or tincture and freeze them for someone. It's horrific to me that 2 jars of Carcass family weed is headed for the green waste
Hear, hear! :Rasta:
Could you mix it with a CBD strain to make oil?
Hear, hear! :Rasta:

And now it's MOVING DAY (night)!

It's been fun trying to get my 2 Grandaddy Blacks (day 47) to the proposed Nov. 2nd flip date while within the confines of the 2x2 tent, but that ends tonight. I'll be moving them from the 2x2 and into the 4x4 (effectively flipping them) tonight at 9pm at lights-on in the 4x4. One of them is 10 inches tall and the other is 11 inches tall. I'll do a little training on them before moving them and try to bring each of them down an inch or so, but they're tall enough.

Since the lights in the 2x2 are off from 1pm to 6pm, their last veg day will be on a 15/9 light cycle (6-9pm in the 2x2, then 9pm to 9am in the 4x4). I wonder if having that last veg day shortened (from 19/5) sends any signal to the plant about what's about to occur?
---------
The little Fruit Punch auto (day 70) is pretty much done. (And I've never had a plant that was so difficult to get a decent picture of.) Despite the presence of some white pistils, she won't drink any more. I last fed her on the 25th and her pot retains a bit of moisture to this day. I may give her one more drink and a few more days but I believe that will be it for her. (Hmm. Maybe I should have a look at her trichomes too. 🧐)

I decided I will leave the Pineapple Express (day 47) to finish in the 2x2. And I will not up-pot her. Things look like a good fit the way things are. I'll just need to be ready to constantly water that 2 gallon pot and hope she doesn't get rootbound.

So these two frontrunners (flip + 15) just need to be good neighbors with their new tent mates and not start any of that "there goes the neighborhood crap." :)

And that's today's update.

Have a wonderful Sunday and I'll see you all on the flipside!

Peace.

A lot of weed around here in NC is like that get you high as shit but have the jitters if smoke too much / witch to me is 3 tokes LOL :laughtwo:
Consider yourself lucky Smoke. The only thing really good weed gives me is a craving for glazed donuts! :ganjamon:

I don't think one day is enough to trigger a response. They want to see if you're really serious or simply lost focus for a day. If the latter they'll just roll their eyes at you and prod you to "get it together, man."

Don't toss it! Make gummies! Even if they're too strong for you, they'll be a lot easier than weed to pack up and mail to a curious distant relative!
Mrs.C. and my friend with Parkinsons are my main consumers (I seldom, if ever eat them), so I wouldn't want it to freak 'em out- I'll see if I can get Mrs.C. to smoke a little before I go the gummy route with it- if it meets with her approval, I'll fire up the MBM and make a big ol' batch of oil...I guess I could also make smaller gummies- my bears are 4 grams, that's kinda big- I could use the potleaf molds, which are 2g.

They may start with the "there goes the elbow room" crap, though... 😃

That sounds like a good candidate for pain oil to me! That strong stuff is what you want, IIRC. Or if you do make regular evoo oil, maybe you could dilute it after infusion? Can’t waste the fruits of your hard work!

GDB, those gdbs look so good. The left two caught up to the front-right one quite nicely. We’re gonna be flip buddies! I’m planning to move mine over to bloom in the next day or so too. :high-five::Rasta::Rasta:

I try to make my pain oils as strong as possible...at least 15mg/ml THC.

Love the use of the "insert horizontal line." :welldone:

Good Monday morning to you all!

Perfection personified!
You're too kind Trala! :thanks:

Yeah, now that they're in there I can sorta' see that coming Carcass! I believe Shed was correct when he expressed concerns about fitting 5 plants in there. That would have been a hot mess (and a lot of work to maintain).
Those plants were born to mess with your timetables! And now it's just perfect timing. ⏲️
The newly flipped are 15 days behind the frontrunners. I like that! :)

There are only 2 GDBs HH. It will be clearer after I post todays pics, but I'm thrilled to be your "flip buddy"! :)

Thanks Shed. :thanks:

So the flip was accomplished yesterday evening and the girls spent their first night together. This morning all looks peaceful.
TG 4x4 10-31-22 F1-16 labels.jpg

I elevated each of the 2 GDBs on a single beverage carrier and they're at about the same height as the Purple Tahoe. My plan was (may is) to elevate all of the shorter plants and raise the light to accommodate the taller Purple Dream. But my Lazy-Meter starting chirping about that idea, insisting that if I supercrop the Dream I can leave everything else as is and have a much easier time with maintenance. I don't really want to supercrop the Dream but the Meter makes a compelling argument. What do you folks think?

In the 2x2, the "not-for-long" Fruit Punch auto and the Pineapple Express now coexist. I gave the FPa a liter of water last night and will see if it again takes her 5 days to lighten the pot again.

Finally, I took a few trich pics of the Fruit Punch auto. I see mostly cloudy but no amber. That may be the state at which she gets taken down because she's very close to entering the "sick of looking at her" stage! :)

That's all I've got.

My home football team managed to pull off a wonderful victory at the very end of the game yesterday! I'm hoping for the same outcome with this grow, "victory at the very end!" :Rasta:

Peace.

Glad your team won. :thumb:
With an incredible garden like that you should have no problem.
Win , Win. :high-five:
Great work my friend.

The GDB's and the Purple Tahoe might be the same size as the Dream in a few weeks, if you supercrop, then the Dream might end up being the short one...you may need to just turn the lazy meter down to "medium" for a little while...and work around the milk crates for 12 days or so... :)
...my 2 cents...

If I’m following right, those are in bloom now? I’m in line with carcass, if you supercrop them now, she’d be recovering during stretch. Maybe that would be good for you? You’d only have to milk crate the tall one if she stayed low.

I knew there was just 2 gdb’s, but I couldn’t remember the other name. My lazy meter said just call them all the same 😂

Your 2 cent check is in the mail! :Rasta:

I don't know how much the GDBs will stretch, though I'm pretty sure the Tahoe is about done.

So off to find the milk crates!

BTW, I wish the Lazy-Meter was adjustable.

They have Lazy-Meters for females! Please let me know where I can get one because my Mrs. is always busy (and wants me to be too). :)

Ha! I’m lucky Mr H knows if I could, I would (adjust it). Just tell her you don’t want to upset the yin-yang balance of your relationship. For marriage.
