Hey GDB, Thanks for turning me on to this thread, friggin' awesome I already found 2 strains in here I am thinking about for future grows and the info is really helpful! I can't tell you how happy I am to here that you had good results with Crescendo. I grew her recently and she was drop dead gorgeous but wouldn't get anyone high. I was and still am stunned by that, we tossed 5 ounces of it in the river! I have 2 beans left and based on your report am going to keep them and re-run next summer. Thanks my friend, I am on to reading your report on Slurricane which I have long been contemplating but also been warned away from.Hello gang.
I'm back with a smoke report on the Crescendo RBx1 from Ethos genetics.
Per the seller:
The Crescendo has long been a favorite of mine as a both grower and a smoker. The phenos we found of this strain were impossible to choose between. They were incredibly stable and equally gorgeous, all with a terpene profile that stood out and deep orange and purple coloring. One pheno in particular really stood out because it smelled as close to moth balls as the real thing. The other phenos all had varying combinations of that fuely, moth ball smell mixed with tangerine/citrus. The smoke will take you straight to the couch, so be cautious about when you partake, and enjoy! Crescendo RBx1 is medium-tall with some stretch; she likes a little training. Sour, gassy and citrus flowers are crushingly strong! Expect heavy, sedated, euphoric effects.
I didn't get the moth ball smell but it did smell like fuel. However, I got every bit of the "heavy, sedated, euphoric effects!"
She's a keeper fo' sho'! I love the taste (fuel-like and also kind of sweet) and effect (Let's party!).
Purported to be between 30-37 percent THC, this one just might live up to that claim!
Smash and dab? Don't get me started on how hard she kicks when that approach is taken!
Here's her timeline:
12/20/22 Day 1 1/13/23 Up-pot to 3 gallon fabric pot (Day 24) 2/16/23 Flipped (Day 58) 5/17/23 End (Day 148) 6/1/23 Bagged for cure (fridge dried)
Pics!
She was raised in a crowded tent under the @ViparSpectra KS5000. That's her front left.
She was a rather tall (by my standards), spindly plant with lots of little popcorn buds.
But by the time she was near her end those little buds had connected.
And she was "different" with her dark leaves and lots of frost!
Here she is cleaned up for her takedown.
In the end she produced 204 grams of dense, sticky buds and this is how I see her today.
That's it.
PEACE.
damn! well doneHello growers.
This report is on the Fat Bastard by Blimburn Seeds.
Per the breeder:
Fat Bastard was developed from an extremely potent female, Goldmember x Monkey Spunk, that has a particularly pronounced terpene and cannabinoid profile. Both parent plants were selected through a long process of searching for flavor and potency to finally obtain the properties we had envisioned. Our Fat Bastard feminized seeds are a mostly hybrid strain with high THC. For the creation of this variety, we have used the best selections of Goldmember xMonkey Spunk, providing breeders with an easy to grow marijuana plant. Besides being a marijuana plant that is easy to grow, Fat Bastard gives us sweet, fruity aromas accompanied by notes of skunk from the first days of flowering.
Fat Bastards Hybrid weed gives off an amazing terpene profile. Its flavors are fruity and skunk. Also, it gives us body effects that are powerful, euphoric, and relaxed. This strain is not recommended for the faint of heart or beginners as its extreme THC content of 30%-38% and the extensive cannabinoid profile ensure long-lasting and very intense effects. Fat Bastard is a mostly hybrid strain. This powerful weed with 30%-38% THC will quickly take you to the clouds. First, a powerful euphoria hits your head and then a little tingle runs through your body. This is not a weed for beginners. As our mind takes a back seat, we begin to notice a feeling of bodyrelaxation. It is a marijuana plant with high yields, conical, crystalline, and resinous buds. Besides being a marijuana that is plant easy to grow, Fat Bastard gives us sweet, fruity aromas accompanied by notes of skunk from the first days of flowering.
I got up this morning and smoked a bowl from nearly ground zero in the "Enterprise". (I say "nearly" ground zero because I started the day with a biscuit with a pat of canni-butter and some cherry preserves.)
The breeder lists a potential high of 38% THC for this strain. I'm in no position to say whether that's true. But the effect is potent, that's for sure. My focus is now extremely limited, making it difficult to get this report done. There are -- all of a sudden -- too many damn distractions in this room. If I plan to smoke more FB in here I'll need to clean up.
The weed smells and tastes like some sort of peppery herb. It's not an unpleasant taste but it's not something that makes me say "yummy" either. It's a very distinctive taste, however, very different from most of the strains in my current collection. That's the best I can do as relates to smell & taste.
Here's her timeline:
8/3/23 Day 1 8/22/23 Up-pot to 3 gallon fabric (day 19) 9/14/23 Flipped (day 42) 12/19/23 End (day 138) 1/1/24 Bagged for curing (dried in fridge)

The end:
BTW, I also smashed some of the FB and used the rosin to make vapes. The strain's unique flavor really comes through when vaped. In fact, vaping this weed seems to increase its flavor intensity!
Fat Bastard is a potent strain that made me day dream and piddle around. After ingesting the FB, I started this report at around 8:30am. I'm finishing up at 11am (sheesh).

Great smoke report Gdb! I gotta ask who was the breeder of the Slurricane? Was it In House Genetics?THE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUTT
Hello gang!
This is not my typical smoke report. This one brings in the opinions of others.
As you may know if you follow my threads, my wife recently left town for a week to visit her best friend.
Knowing her trip would coincide with the thick of the NCAA tournament I planned ahead, inviting 3 of my best smoking buddies to stop by during that week to smoke and enjoy some college bball.
For the buffet, I chose 3 strains that had been curing for a minute:
Crescendo (bagged since 6/1/23)
Sour G (bagged 12/15/23)
Slurricane (bagged 11/1/23)
In the past I have enjoyed each of these strains but I wanted to see how others would rate them.
There was barely any method to the madness. I merely set the buds out on a rolling tray in separate piles by strain and my guests picked the ones they wanted to smoke.
Doug, Darryl and LB are their names. Doug & Darryl are heavy hitters. LB is mostly a lightweight! They all seemed to have a good time! (The
Not surprisingly, each one chose the Sour G to try first. (The Sour G is pretty and lures folks in based on that.)
Sour G:
Doug and Darryl raved about it. Said it tasted wonderful and produced a nice clean high. LB coughed and hacked his way into finally being able to mumble something about "good shit." And that was it for LB. One visit, one sample and done. "Man, I've got to drive home. I'm good." What a friggin' wimp.
Doug and Darryl tried to smoke all of the Sour G that was on the tray. They were smitten and didn't sample the others on their first visits.
But each of them (Doug & Darryl) made return visits days later and when they did, only Slurricane & Crescendo where on the tray. I had to explain the absence of the Sour G, telling them I needed their opinions on the other two.
Doug raved about the Crescendo, saying it tasted a little better than the Sour G but did not hit him the same way. Later he tried the Slurricane and got completely zooted from that. Of course when one starts smoking different strains back-to-back it's difficult to say which is doing what and to what extent.
Crescendo:
On his second visit, Darryl concentrated on the Slurricane because he said he liked the way the buds smelled. He too said it was quite tasty, and he seemed to get just as zooted as Doug had (but without preceding it with Crescendo). I could observe that Darryl was mightily zooted. I've known him for years and when he gets really buzzed he starts laughing at shit that ain't even funny. His highs come with built-in laugh-tracks!
Slurricane:
I learned nothing from this exercise. Didn't really intend to. I just wanted to get together with some buddies, smoke and watch bball! I took care not to include any of my sleepy strains and that worked. Everyone stayed awake! (I don't like watching games with snoring in the background. )
I did get one big surprise from doing this. When I first tried some of the Slurricane I got a slight feeling of nausea! I've never had that reaction to weed before. Tried it again days later and the same thing happened. It was a very mild feeling but it was there and unmistakable. And, the Slurricane gives me a burst of energy! It also made me comment a lot on the games, loudly!
Overall, it was a load of fun. Watching bball under clouds of smoke. And that was the whole point!

Thanks for your interest!
(And to those of you who may be wondering, yes, the title of this post does contain a veiled reference to a mishap I had some time ago! )
PEACE
Thanks @N420. I got those beans from Blimburn and I assume they were bred in-house. There's not mention of a 3rd party breeder in the seed description or anywhere on the packaging.Great smoke report Gdb! I gotta ask who was the breeder of the Slurricane? Was it In House Genetics?
Thanks Mello!Awesome report GDB,I just want to know how you cured for do long ? This is the problem that I am having long term storage. Any advice will be greatly appreciated
My review above contains an EGREGIOUS ERROR that I must report.Good day all!
I'm back with another report. This time on the Hash Lover plant from 420 Sponsor Freedom of Seeds!
Per the vendor:
Hash Lover cannabis seeds is a strain for those who truly love a hashy taste.
Hash Lover was originally produced from a Hash Plant x Northern lights The
#1 hybrid and produces seriously resinous buds. For a deep and very pleasant
stone Hash Lover will deliver a long lasting cruising high with a delicious
hashish taste. Very fast Flowering finish Indoor 45 - 50 days.
This one took 112 days to finish.
2/21/24 72 3/8/24 Up-pot to 3 gallon fabric (day 16) 4/1/24 Flip (day 40) 6/10/24 End (day 112, flip 72) 6/28/24 Bagged for cure (fridge dried)
To do this review I loaded up one of my glass pipes. It's got a nice sized bowl on it, more than I can take in with a single lighting. I'll take what I can and then let it go out.
This weed does have a "delicious hashish taste." You coulda' knocked me over! The breeder's description of the taste actually synced with what I was tasting! That's different.
The effect was pretty sweet! It really slowed things down but not to a standstill. I'm pretty sure my senses may have been heightened, as the music I was listening to seemed to get clearer, allowing me to hear more nuanced sounds. Then again, my senses may have been dulled, because I turned up the volume quite a few notches!
So I spent a little while listening to loud music and taking small puffs from the bowl. After a while, I switched from floor speakers to headphones and that's when I think I got my first hunger pangs.
This strain gives me the munchies, BIG time. I damn near obliterated a new box of "Extra Crunchy" Cheezit Crackers! (For those of you who like Cheezits, if you haven't tried the Extra Crunchies, you must! They're kinda' well done (burnt) and that adds wonderfully to the cheesy taste!)
As always, so you can get the full "picture"...
And today:
I like this weed. It doesn't sedate me but it doesn't make me want to do jumping jacks either. It's a nice middle-ground type of weed.
It's a "Winner, winner, cook me some dinner" kind of smoke!
------------------------
Thanks for visiting.
PEACE
I said "Extra Crunchy" crackers when I should have said "Extra Toasty!"I damn near obliterated a new box of "Extra Crunchy" Cheezit Crackers! (For those of you who like Cheezits, if you haven't tried the Extra Crunchies, you must! They're kinda' well done (burnt) and that adds wonderfully to the cheesy taste!)

Thanks Ramblin. The Festival was very nice! And I witnessed the largest line dance I've ever seen!Nice report Grand Daddy Black. How was the Reggae Fest??
I kinda gotta agree with you GDB about the whole Indica/ Sativa thing. I guess I never have smoked a landrace sativa. I just get ZoootedThanks Ramblin. The Festival was very nice! And I witnessed the largest line dance I've ever seen!
More puffing on the GB at the Fest and I never got the sedating effect the breeder says will eventually come about. I was just happy and into the music! Then after the festival an hour-long drive back home, still abuzz. Then once at the crib, sitting down laughing my ass off while watching the Dallas Cowpokes get slaughtered by the Lions, still wide awake and energetic.
So this "pure indica" strain has more of the "alleged" sativa affect on me. And it's funny, because I think I can almost taste the "why."
I don't buy into the "sativa" up and indica "down" theory. In my experience, it just hasn't held up. Perhaps some day I'll really do some solid GDB ciphering and try to make sense of it all so I can find out what I really like! I'm nearly convinced that it's a particular combination of terpenes that make me the happiest. And I also believe that weed with that right combination tastes a certain way...to me and perhaps nobody else.
I think he means first high of the day.Hey GDB! Ground zero huh? Is there a whole lot of people all over doing their daily work thing, or is it still a tourist kind of place now? Dang you live close!
What a maroon!Great smoke report and nice looking line dance, even from a sober perspective!
I think he means first high of the day.
Such colorful language Stone! What a maroon!
