GC's First Indoor Cabinet Grow

Well done gov, what a grow!! Looking like be over 250 wow!!! Only just hitting 300w with your unit, maybe slightly more with 110v but you'll be around .8 w/g wow!!! Have to empty those c/ vaults to put big sis in if she's nicer. Bum rush her, yeah right, she wanted it!! Peace man

Well, Biggy still lost about the same amount of weight in dry, but the quality is noticeably higher. Frost and "stickiness" are ridiculous. Little sis is 1 week in the cure so far and is finally starting to yield that sour, sweet, funky aroma we all hope for. It's so cool how the same strain can be so similar but, also, so essentially different that I feel I've grown two strains this grow.

I'm also very happy with the end results. This was supposed to be a control grow and set the foundation for future attempts, but it's more than that now. The TOPledgrowlight Mars II 700 did a fantastic job and proved (to me at least) this light is more than capable of producing great meds. Like all things dependent on myriad factors for success, it's not a fix for bad growing technique, neglect or other potentially catastrophic issues that can arise (like power outages, pH imbalances etc,). If all other things are in order, this light will do it's job well, period.

Little Sis = 128g
Big Sis = 111g

Total = 239g (8.5 zips) and given the 298w pull of the light, puts me right at .802 gpw. I am quite happy, and with this being my first ever indoor grow, I've practically gotten tennis elbow from patting myself on the back, lol.

Thanks again to everyone here at :420: :thumb:

Almost forgot this...here are the fruits of my labor

What 8 grams off my guess, couldn't you have throw some stems in to get the weight lol. Tennis elbow, I know something that can/ needs to cure that lol. Thanks for a well presented and extremely successful journal!! Peace gov

Awesome job man, + reps!

Now i just need to get some plants under my Mars II.

TYVM Craw. It's nice to be able to chill a little bit now. The rest of this week, I'm going to clean the room really well and get everything prepped. The wife asked me to do a round of basil and tomato (she's 100% Italian, what can I say) and I said sure. I've more than enough good smoke to last me awhile and a couple grams of REALLY nice bubble hash.

LOL, Thanx man. I was thinking of that when I was trimming, and was watching the numbers as I got closer to the end. I deliberately held off the two largest branches until last. I just trimmed it as I would like all of it to be (i.e., a good rough trim as I prefer the really frosty sugar leaves to remain to a degree). I went back over the stack of stems I had, but that was it.

Awesome work! + reps. Congrats on your harvest and a great journal !

:Namaste: LA. and thanks for the reps guys. Other than my wife and son (both of whom I trust implicitly), this is the only place I can discuss and actively exchange regarding this multi-therapeutic hobby.

Thanks BID. Though I don't have anywhere near the experience you do, I can corroborate what you said in 6.0...i.e. While I am very happy with the results, I know beyond doubt that aspects of this grow can be improved upon (a little more training, a more-specialized nute regimen, CO2 supplementation, etc,). Despite that, I cannot stress enough how dense both of these girls were with resin and I can offer a modest smoke report on Little sis as well.

The smoke is already smooth though only 12 days in cure. The ash is white and there is a definite spice note on the finish. The high isn't creeper either. More like a buzzing head rush right away that settles into a nice relaxing calm. It definitely does make me more spacey. Smell is mild but coming around. Still a gentle pine sap smell until the bud is ground up. Then it opens with that really funky piney, cat-piss kinda thing without the ammonia choke. Big Sis is still refining a smell I can only equate to motor oil or fuel oil. I am still amazed how different plants from the same strain can end up so different.

Perhaps we can move this thread to "completed journals"?

I decided to embark on another journey and I popped a couple Barney's Pineapple Chunk this weekend. Started them under the Mars II from the start again. FYI, I have my light as high as it will go (was mostly too lazy to measure and lower, but I'm sure it's over 36" right now) and after the babies are at least a week old, I'll do some adjusting.

I hate week 1. Worrying and doting over these helpless little organisms is exhausting...lol

Hi GC :ciao: Thanks for sharing your grow with us.

I'm moving this to Completed Journals now.
Please head over to the 420 Strain Reviews forum and post your smoke report there too! :cheer:

Hope all is well in your world.

Love and respect from all of us here at 420 Magazine.

:Namaste:
