Why are you giving half the amount of nutrients recommended? In your first post you mention having heard autos don't like as many nutes as photos. Is that why? I've heard the same. I've also heard that is incorrect. Which is true I don't know. I'm growing autos for the first time now and the oldest is only 2 days old. What I do know is regardless of what anyone says, you should listen to the plant. If it's saying feed me, feed it.

I know your Problem well Fuzznutter. You read a lot and try to learn as much as possible. And the more you read, the more questions you have. There is not that one guide out there that gives you exactly that advice you need. So what my thought was at the beginning of that grow, to have maximum control about your nutes. But i also wanted to grow in soil because it´s for a beginner the easiest way. So i choose the lightest soil i could found, which is fabricated by CompoSana. It´s made for Herbs and Seeds. This, should give me the Control about everything, because of nutes, that were already in the soil, should be sucked up quickly. And as you can see in this journal, this indeed happened. My Dark Devil showed some nitrogen defiency quick. Thats when i started to feed her. But i dont want to overfeed her, thats why i decided to start with less. But when i now think about how it worked out in the end, i think i could feed her more. But, this is very soil dependent at all i think. Over and all, this method brought me to this point:

Day 33 update

Humidity: 38-43%

Dark Devil:

I fed her another 2000ml yesterday because of her pot was light again after the last 1000ml before. She is drinking quit a lot and her Pot feels like she needs another feeding tomorrow in the morning. She is looking better now, but stems are still very purple. Maybe it is genetically, because this little small butts where the Pistins come out of are turning purple too. Here are her Pics

Day 34 update

In my opinion, it´s more and more clear that i have to feed my Ladys harder. I think my Soil is so light, that this have to be done. Good thing about it is, that i´m in full control of what happens to them. With the Pictures below i show you what i mean. You can see best at the Dark Devil, so i will show her first.

Dark Devil:

She has increased growth again and made about 3 cm till yeserday. I released LST at the Main-Cola to let it catch up to the other branches. It works fine while the other branches keep growing. She seems to like that extra P-K Nute i fed her, number of Pistins have increased a lot. Two Days after last feeding her Pot was already very light again, so i gave her another feeding today. This Time with the following updatet Schedule:

5ml/l of Bloom Complex
1.25ml/l of PhosphorPlus
2.5ml/l of RootComplex
1 drop of Supervit at 5l

For Bloom Complex it´s now the full Scheme. I didn´t want to do more PhosphorPlus, cause i´m not sure if the plant really need this. I´m pretty sure that she needs more Nitrogen because of that:

I think she will made it, she is growing faster and faster now, while new leaf looks better and better. I also fed her a small amount of extra P-K from now on, starting with today

Dark Devil is looking better now, but lower leaves are turning yellow further. I hope you can see it well at my Pics, and i hope you guys have some advice for me. Cream Caramel will make it i think. She is doing a little better from day to day now. Blue Dream is ok too, not too healthy but not too sick at all. Here are the Pics:

Can anyone give me some advice about this leaves? Is it still not enough N?

A couple of lower leafs turning yellow is absolutely normal. Don't worry about it unless they are too many and yellow color movesto the upper leafs.

From what i see you are going to have a great first time grow.

Thx mate, i think it´s fine. I have kept an Eye on this over the last few Days, and it seems like all the leaves are turning yellow where no light can hit them.

Day 39 update

I was busy with work the last days, i´m sorry for no updates at all. Have to work today too, But at least i have a little time to make an update about my Dark Devil. She has stopped vertical grow, just the lower tops are growing up to that level of the higher ones at the moment. She is about 50cm tall, and 65cm wide. She is a thirsty Lady, i fed her 4000 ml 4 Days before, and another 4000 ml yesterday. Everytime i did that her pot was absolutely dry. Maybe a little bit too dry, but i had to work.
My feeding Schedule is now:
5ml/l BloomComplex,
1.25ml/l PhosporPlus,
5ml/l RootComplex
1 drop of Supervit at 5000ml
1ml/l HesiBoost

I have read a loot about HesiBoost, and also i read a loot about Boosters with Autoflowers at all. Everyone seems to think that it´s no good idea to use them with Autoflowers. But in fact, my Ladys are consuming their Nutes like Girls do with Chocolate, so i decided to give it a try. What i can tell about it right now, is that she is very Happy with that. She is drinking double the ammount of water since i use it, from about 2000ml to 4000ml every 2 or 3 Days. This is comparable to other Peoples result with that boost on Photoperiodic Strains. I will do ongoing report about using this boost.

There are good news! You can see first Buds formating slowly, and they all are going to be purple! I´m happy to share that with you guys! So take a look!

Well, she now got two feedings with this Booster, and she seems to be pretty happy with it. Looking Vital allover. She was a little close to the bulb yesterday, but she seems to take it like a lady. Maybe because of this Boost. Here is what the Manufacturer says about the ingredients:

Composition:
Organic fertilizer P + K
Phosphorus soluble in water 1%
Potassium water 1%
Contains fruit extracts, fruit enzymes like galactol, plant sugars like melitose and alginic acid, and more. Minerals such as potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, calcium and trace elements like iron from natural origin.

Dosage

at the beginning of flowering:
once 2ml per 1 liter of nutrient solution (douse, water),
or as leaf nutrition 1 ml per 1 liter of nutrient solution.
to prolong the flowering:
once 2ml per 1 liter of nutrient solution (douse, water),
or as leaf nutrition 1 ml per 1 liter of nutrient solution.

I gave them 1ml/1000ml twice, i thought it was better to split it because of Autoflower and Nutes

Next feeding will be without boost

Hello everyone

Im sorry for this little break between my updates, but at my work everyone is sick at the moment so i have to compensate them with a lot of time. But at Least there are some good news for my little Ladys. Every single Day when im coming home from work, im happy to see them growing. It just relaxes me to look at them while smoiking a joint. I want to let them now their final destination also

Day 43 update

So, where should i beginn... Lets start with the two smaller Plants this Time, Blue Dream and Cream Caramel.

First i have to say, that i accidently topped my Blue Dream. I tried to LST her, and then it just snaped off. Plant was too dry at this moment i think. This stunted her for about two days, but now she is growing fast, building 6 new Colas. Only time will tell what happens to her because of this, but im excited to see where it goes. She was feed with 2000 ml of BloomComplex (5ml/l) and she liked it a lot! Also gave her RootComplex (5ml/l)

Blue Dream is still kind of sick, but she has increased her growth rate more and more. I think a have to wait and see if it just "grows out". She is showing first signs of flowering and i´m expecting increased growth rate in the next weeks. Not much feeding needed for her, i think she will be dry enough tomorrow. She will get 2.5ml/l of Bloom Complex.

Dark Devil, what can i say about it? Well, she is just beautyfull in my eyes. I like her look and especially her smell. It doesnt smell like any other weed i ever smelled before. And im smoking for about 15 Years now. I can´t wait to smoke some of it.

As i said in the past Days, i tried out HesiBoost. I gave her the half dose of it twice, everytime with about 4000 ml Water. Everytime i did this, she was drinking like an alcoholic. 4000 ml every two Days. Without that, she drank about 4000 ml in 4 Days. Last feeding was without Boost yesterday and she is drinking slower again. You can feel it, her pot is still heavy. I also think that she is happy with half dose of BloomComplex (2.5ml/l), but i increased the amount of PhosphorPlus over the last two feedings. It´s now full dose at 2.5ml/l. Next feeding will be like the last, and after that i will give her boost again for two feedings. That will give me some more knowledge about Water consumption with/without Boost.

Thank you Onelove! I´m just trying to learn. And there is a lot to learn at the moment. I tried to use my expierence from LST on Dark Devil for Blue Dream now, cause she started flowering, or showed first signs of it today. This brings me directly to this, this time bigger, update.

Day 46 update

Humidity: 45-60%
Temps: 20.7-29.3°F (69,26-84,74°F)

It was a little hot today, so i raised the bulb arround 5 cm up to compensate.

Cream Caramel:

She still has that ugly leaves, don´t know why. but she is growing and growing, so i just let her grow with a little LST, but not much.
She was fed with 4000 ml of 2,5ml/l Hesi BloomComplex, 1,25ml/l PhosphorPlus, 5ml/l RootComplex and 1 drop Supervit per 5l today, seems like she starts to drink more finally. Maybe her roots are now developed enough, who knows.

Blue Dream:

She started flowering, i think because of i accidently topped her. But her growth rate is really high at the moment. from yesterday till today she grew about 6cm in the last 20 hours. Her Pot is feeling lighter, but not light enough to feed. I thought this would be a good moment to begin more LST cause she will stretch soon. I tried to circle around her tops arround her pot, wich worked out very well.

Not much to say about the Plant itself. she is still growing vertically on a slow rate, getting more and more hairy while she does that. She is purpleing up more and more too. You can see first Trichromes shine. She shows gentle signs of overfeeding, so this feeding was with half the amount overall in comparison with last one. She is consuming 4500ml every second day again with added HesiBoost.

Some side Data: She is from ground to top arround 80cm (31.5 inches) tall, covers 0,43m² (4,6 squarefeet), light is arround 40cm (15,7 inches) away and she drinks about 13-14 Liters of Water every Week. There are 18 Top Colas at more or less the same level of height, getting the same amount of light as its neighboors. Number of lower Buds is uncounted. The biggest Top Colas are 15-20cm (6-7.9 inches) high, and arround 2-3cm (0,8-1,2 inches) wide, getting bigger every Day. Next Picture update with next feeding! I think tomorrow

She is showing very little signs of overall nutritient burn, so i reduced feed once more. Todays feeding was with 1.2ml/l BloomComplex, no PhosphorPlus this time, 1ml/l Hesi Boost (want to keep it more thirsty, this Boost absolutly increases amount of water needed), 2.5ml/l RootComplex and 1 drop at 5l Supervit. I have to keep an eye on it, next time without feeding when watering if things get worse. She has grown 1,5cm over the last two Days, i have to keep adjusting the Light every Day to keep Temps within a good range. But now, Picture time for her!!

Blue Dream

She is growing pretty fast, starting to drink more. Todays feeding with 2.5ml/l BloomComplex, 5ml/l RootComplex, 1.25ml/l PhosphorPlus, 1ml/l Hesi Boost (first time for her) and 1 drop at 5L Supervit. She is looking better from Day to Day.

Cream Caramel

Growing, but still looking Sick. No feeding or Watering needed. I think she will be ready tomorrow
