Gator Uncaged

Maybe I'll just clean the MixMaster with salad oil, and skip even the ethanol.
I use imitation vanilla to avoid the alcohol in natural extracts, kidding but close.

For years, I've badmouthed extracts and talked up ice & aggitation. Now I'm going to do it.
I'll buy at Harbor Freight a big drill motor and a stir paddle. Got Homer buckets?
The mesh at the bottom of the bags is really really fine, for bearing trichome gold.
Looking to get a little screw press for handy dandy magic pills, but first... the mud :)

Now you got me looking at trimmers bro! As much as I love consuming cannabis...I think I hate trimming even more. Might be money well spent! :thumb:

My last harvest, I made canna butter with all my trim...but I don't like having to make food, and then use it within a certain timeframe. I think this time I want to experiment with with tinctures...but I do love how slick the pressed hash comes out! :)

:Namaste:

"I don't like having to make food, and then use it within a certain timeframe."
Canola oil doesn't go rancid like butter, and can sub for it any way you like butter.
Butter, kif, pressed cake, and tincture. No mutual exclusions here, all are good :yummy:

"would pay for itself in just a few runs!"
When you need it, you'll know it. Spinner trimmer is the same deal.
Hand trim a few easy beauties for show, then grind the rest out and go
To dinner. Celebrate your emmancipation with cheesecake and capacino.

No Jandre, Pollen Press Plates is where I found it, but may be a second site for same seller.
I'd like to need the block form, to deal repetitiosly with kif. A lot of kif ;)

HEHEHE! on that link, look at the top of the page. That's pollentools.com but just under their "Press Plates" subsection. so yeah, 300 for the plates, and 300 for the actual press it was designed for. But rigging a hydraulic press would be much cheaper.
They are CNC milled aluminum with a highly durable powder coating. These Press Plates are designed to be used with Pollentools’ Large Pollen Press.

2 models are available:

  • 3-piece 28 hole press plate – Comes with a pivot pins and is spring-loaded for balanced pressing & easy top plate removal after pressing is complete.
  • Large Square Press Plate

Using Iso for extraction will give you hash oil.. I think thats what it is.
I've done it with trim abunch. I wouldn't recommend it. I've had greater success with tinctures than the hash oil.. It's not as kind to smoke. I would suggest using your trim with your bags, and steer clear of Iso all together.

Hash from collected trich's is much nicer IMO. You don't need to put it on bud to smoke it more effectively.

I would not recommend using trim for tincture either... Use good quality, cured bud (or kief)... Tincture is sub-lingual administration. It kicks in faster than edibles, though does not last quite so long.

What i always do is .
I tape some plastic foil on a manicure table and on top of it a tight lace curtain after manicuring your stash lift up the lace curtain and you have yourself some sieved a + cristals :cheer:

"I like tiramisu better, as it compliments the cappuccino"
Chesecake main course, tiramisu can be desert. Double capacino? No, a second double :yahoo:

Enjoy life with big bites.

Amen brother! :)

As for hash... I'm looking for something to attach to my bench-vice. If only I had a arbor press (nothing fancy, 3 tons is fine!)... Man, I cant really get any neat heavy tools for a few years though. :lot-o-toke: But hash cheesecake and hash latte's shouldn't be to far off.

I have a friend at a machine shop, gonna have him mill me one out of solid stainless. Should only run me a couple of grams and a six pack.

The stainless threads will tend to gall over time. You are better using to dissimilar materials (stainless steel and carbon steel) for better performance. Acme threads are the way to go.

Neversieze will go a long way to prevent this. Acme or buttress are strong but exotic cuts. Cheaper to increase thread diameter and use dissimilar stainless 304/316 or 316/400

Just suggesting ;)

I went way over my line with the acme thread bit. Totally violates the KISS rule. For light use, 20-30 dollar hand presses are the kind. For weight mangement, a $20 bottle jack and a DIY press frame is the ticket.

Years ago at a grow shop, I mentioned sex of my plants. Kid asked me what kind of plants, I asked why did he ask. He fetched his mom the owner and they told me to leave. OK, I found another where I still do business.
A good grow shop is a blessing, eh Doode?

I've a 3oz plant to break down next week. In two weeks, 2 dozen small plants. Spinner will get a workout ;)

Two weeks, still shots of my own but this is what it is:
Spin Pro Trimmer Handytrimmer - YouTube

Mine is a no-brandname Chinese copy of this brandname Chinese-made SpinPro, and is bigger than this one looks, unless this guy is bigger than he looks :hmmmm:

Funny you should post this, I just watched this same video last night and loved it. In answer to your question, I think the wife would like the noise none too much. I have been looking at motorized pollen extractors over the past few weeks. The $300 price tag for such a simple contraption is a little too much when elbow grease is so cheap. Never tried anything with just a screen like the Moroccans, but have used the ice water method like 420fied does with great results.

I will be trying dry ice next time the vids I've seen make it look pretty painless. I also like the way it can go strait from screen to press with no drying time necessary.

Youtube is wonderful,

oh yas mr gator imloving the new shop its clear that they are "freindly" when after 5 mi they are talking about trich production and glr lightschedule by the time ileft i had the owner excited to go online and check out bpn and jdl ! i hope he remembers to mention me to our sponsors (wink) he also all but told me outright the shop was put in to help with the recent passage of mmj law here, and said i might be surprised how many "customers" are going in for this specific reason, they talked about the equip/cycles/nutes etc they use ine their "personal" grows, it was amazing to find other ppl in bfe that do what i do! first time ever i was able to .
