Gator Uncaged

For some reason, I could not view page 25, it kept going back to page 24. I went into forum settings and set for a hard 20 posts per page, and now I have only 19 pages, but at least I can see past QTL's last post about geometry being lost, lol. Was weird.

Some posts were a bore
Pages now total twenty four
Please don't be suspicious
We're not being officious
The Gator gives
The journal lives

I keep wondering, every time I run into that bug, if it only happens when the post in question was soft-deleted, or if it also happens when the post has been hard-deleted. And, if the latter, does the behavior continue after a database maintenance/purge?

No, I'm not on... forum software's... development team, lol. Just like to look for bugs and forward suggestions/observations when possible on the assumption that every "dead" bug is one less bug for a hacker to figure out a way to turn into some kind of security breach down the road. (I can't see this being anything of the sort, but you never know.)

Every time I pass through this journal I get the urge to try something vertical. Got a comparison experiment of sorts in mind. Maybe next winter.

TS, everytime I visit 420fied's journal I want to SoG. Here's what's in the cooker now:

Last photo shows seedlings and cuttings from 25 days, that are mostly destined for the twin vert.
The tray of 6 day cuts will soon flower in a flat SoG, more to follow. SoG advantage: easy trim and dense productivity.
Vert grows hella bushes, especially the centered plant. Also, height is controllable via vert; new unknown strains will toe the line.

The little six-day cuts aspire to grow into donkey dongs, in a space I must yet manage. I need help from the hoarder helpers to clear it, before any magic can happen. I don't grow anything well or poorly; I engineer conditions that are better or worse for growth. DNA is the program, and I can merely assist.

Fresh promise has me chomping at the bit in hunger, I don't much care for PE.
Not really
I have other stuff but it's old and familiar, variety's more better for me.

Coco no go htg, 5kg blocks of Botanicare from local grow store.
I make them special order, and I save shipping. Do they want my business? $12 each.

I cut 20 for a two week start, hoping for a weekly perpetual of 7 or 8. I cull runts.
7 rows of 7 fits nicely in a 40" square, but 6 rows of 8 could work with 6 week PE ding dongs.
Shorty showed me the way, bless her stinky little heart

Reduced expectations reduce the work, but does not appeal.
Routine, and technical advance are other options.
Reduce trimming time and automated watering must happen.
An up-dated chore list can help make it so.

That too.

A vertical SoG... Pesky gravity. Hmm... Growing in a giant centrifuge would, methinks, make several ideas more feasible; unfortunately, the centrifuge itself... isn't.

Missing my very first turntable - I remember we called them "record players," lol. Mine had a switch, 78... 45... 33 1/3... and 16 rpm. The wheels are a turnin', but what if I lay them on their sides? Nah, probably not.

i have never had sissor hash, nor hash at all, once long ago (80s) i had many oilers (honey oil slathered inside a doobie) but i usually just throw away the trim and wash the tools in hot soapy water...i fear i may have missed something nice

Fear not.

But... yes, apparently you have. Throwing away dessert? Like little kids, the cannabis gardener often has dessert first. Sticky yum.

My technique is to trim with several pair of small cheap scissors. Fiskars are over-kill for sugar leaf, though they too serve. When they're all gummed up, I'm done. It's too messy to mess with till the next day, when I scrape it off with a knife.
A small amount on a bit of pipe dottle, then careful with the flame, and pull a small expanding hit. That's enough for me for now ;)

Best trimmers I ever had were from the garment industry. Stainless steel I think. Never rusted/corroded or even pitted from the THC. About 4" long or so, ring for a finger partway back, real short blades. Went inside your closed hand, you didn't hold them you wore them. Squeeze hand to snip instead of a couple fingers. No force required, made for the poor schmucks that had to use them for 8-12 hours/day. Spring back open every time (until they got too covered in goodness, lol). Sharp enough to cut a thought in half. Miss them. Best I had for detail work. By the time I noticed my hands (worked with either one fine) were getting rather sore, the sun was coming up anyway.
