Ganesha's Tent

Hello @Fenderbender hope you are doing good today.
Great garden.
I love the water displacement trays around the base.
Stay safe.
Bill

Thanks, I hope this will solve the problem, should have thought of it sooner as I think this was the main reason plants were going sour in flowering, rooting through in stale water.

All well, Happy growing!

I gave them an hour darkness today, they'll get two tomorrow and so on until I'm at 6 hours of darkness, and I'll be lowering the light to match the same intensity as with the 24hr DLI.
Cause I didn't want them suddenly reaching for light 6 hours as the way these have been growing, don't want to come back to 10cm internodes so I'm hoping to ease them into it.

Hello @Fenderbender hope things are going well today.
I just noticed how low your ladies are in those pots.
Your wasting a lot of real estate. :Namaste:
Next time fill your pots right up before potting.
Big roots = big fruits. Hehe.
Check my Gorilla Glue thread in my sig I explain how to fill your pot and maximize root growth.
Stay safe my friend.

True, but that's a case of me just getting one bag of soil, each plant has 10 liters which should be okay for Autoflowers no?
Your hamstringing yourself right off the bat.
If you want to go through all that work for a minor return then half a pot is good.
Give them the best opportunity possible right from the start.
Roots are the most important part of your girls. IMO.
The better they grow the healthier she will be.
The healthier she is the more quality buds you will harvest. :Namaste:
Stay safe.

I feel this is an effect from the reflective strips as there's heavy side branching already underneath, way more pronounced than other times, of course don't know if this is so great to aim for as those usually get cleaned up or turn out thin thieves. Also don't know yet what to do, leave them natural or start bending them, maybe just give the main bud a little twist so it thinks it's been snapped but hasn't really.

Definitely some vertical growth now they have some dark period

Kay what I have adapted from reading your potting thread is I'm watering now with wetting the sides of the smartpot and leaving it a shallow tray so it can soak up a bit from the bottom to encourage the roots to grow to the ends of the pot.

Hey @Fenderbender hope you are having a good day.
Garden looks good today.
You want to water where you want the roots to go not where they are.
So you have your silver deflectors pushing water to outside where you want the roots to go. :thumb:
But you don't want them sitting in water, ladies don't like wet feet.
Stay safe.

Bom Dia!
Yes I'm not leaving them in the water just a few minutes to soak the bottom layer.
I'm already noticing some budding signs, that's a week earlier than I was expecting.
Is this because I reduced the light? Or because they were on 24hrs from start which made them think so much time has passed?
As the autos in the greenhouse on way less than 18hrs of light per day vegged way longer before showing flowering signs, more at the 6 week mark, indoor I'm used to seeing around four weeks.. 15 days seems early.

Got myself some bending clips opens up the plants a bit.

And I'm using distilled water now with Hesi Nutrient mix levelled down a bit below 6,5pH as I'd like to pull the soil there as it's still above 7

And I received a very nice package with another round of BSF Seeds as these have been performing quite excellent, the ones that are at my buddy are a bit further than those here and looking pretty sweet, two free Girl Scout Cookie Auto's, some Bhut Jolokia seeds as I want try some hot peppers under the light, some mycelium for the end of the year, couple of screens for the Pax Vaporizer and the bendy clips.

Oh it didn't upload the last picture which was the pack
Great they started carrying pepper seeds, the Bhut Jolokias seeds were also free when I added them to the cart, and there's the obligatory free bag with stickers, leaves & tips, grinder & lighter, also got a little shroom mister, and some wipes & alcohol to clean out the bong.

I've also ordered some Plagron Bat-mix with perlite, I've been mainly using regular soil from the garden centre, but I wanted to try something different to see if it's more favourable or stable. So I'm set for 2 more runs of 4 autos and then I'm going 3 and a Ghost Pepper in the tent and the other peppers go in the greenhouse come spring.

My friend took the 3 Amnesia BSF seeds as he has the others currently growing and I've got the Amnesias in my tent now, so I get to try the other three flavours and some Girl Scout Cookies.

Oh no! snapped a main that got caught behind a string, completely severed just hanging on by a thread, instantly taped it, it completely flopped over after this picture, but as of this morning the stem at least is back pointing upwards again, just the leaves are still limped down.

Oh my, I snapped the Runtz main bud as well.. it was getting close to the light whilst the others are at similar height and I thought I'm gonna bend it and used a bendy clip which guided the bud horizontally, looked great, only couple hours later it was as if the bending clip wasn't there the bud had gone back to the original position totally overriding the clip but that was now choking the bud a bit, and to remove it I had to bend the bud back a bit again from the direction it came from to get it out and it instantly snapped.

Soo taped it up as well..

Otherwise they seem pretty happy, last feeding I gave was at 6,67. Yikes when using distilled water Ph- is pretty potent, when using tap it can take ml's to bring something down, with distilled water just the slightest pinch is enough.

I'm very happy with the Mars Hydro SP150 so far, it's less intense than the TS-1000 so the hotspot isn't as hefty in the middle and all the plants look like they have no problem fanning out to catch light, the coverage is just better for my tent size.. were this light 80 to 90 cm long it would even be better but still so far it's working a treat certainly for Autoflowers

The Runtz main on the right, didn't survive, it did not reconnect like the other one, I could just lift it out just now.
All the other buds got a boost though, but that kinda indicated that it hadn't worked as I figured flow to the top of the plant had halted.
Took the scissors and topped it a bit deeper.
Pots are feeling light so I better prepare some dinner.
