thank you, i'll post a pic of the critical mass tomorow after it has some time to recuperate. just got done with putting in the last of the water now at 12:30 p.m. started with the tilling and watering at 8:30 a.m. shaved a good bit of time off of it after i got some experience on the first one.Looks happy now, good job!
i know, and it's going to be around for a while, they say saturday it's not going to get above zero for the high. im hoping for an early spring, some years we still have ice on lake superior in the begining of june.Cold here too, I’m already tired of the cold! Lol
especially when a polar vortex comes through. a few years ago almost every day for january and febuary got down to 35 below. the town that i work at had to have everyone leave there water running day and night for two months so the towns pipes didn't freeze up.I lived in Lake Michigan as a kid and winters horrendous!
I use the lift method also. To me it's easy to tell the difference between a wet pot and a dry pot. That will be a good gage for you to see how well you’ve done. I prefer the lift method. You pot should be much heavier and a lot easier to tell going from cups to 3 gallon. Do both, as they both serve a purpose and will help you get a feel for the process.
Also, here’s a really good read.
