That might have been because I mentioned that trunk diameter doesn't seem to be much of a factor in my harvest weight as I pulled over 10 ounces off this Trainwreck trunk:

Day 82 of flower

Straight water for them today. The inspection passed but the humidity is a little high. I put a dehumidifier on and it came down to 50h.

I think I might try a SIP container next round. Otters is looking pretty good. You got 10 oz …Plus I like the idea of low maintenance.

This one was about 2 feet tall and gave us 12.5 zips in the 3 x 3 The pot was a little over a foot. Mighta been 11.5. SIP'n is different and fun if you ask me! I just have to figure how to get calcium and mag to go automatically. Maybe next grow!

That’s hefty, healthy girl!.. Oh you got me convinced. I’ve been jumping around your journal googling everything and this is what I came up with for a do it yourself earthbox. I like the width and I think 4 of them will go good in my room.

They will make some fine SIP containers Fudo! Make sure you have a bottle of cal/mag on hand for the rez. Mine this grow get 4 ml a day. The one plant that grew stupid big and fast is getting 8 ml a day. They just don't seem to access mag and cal properly otherwise in SIP's. You're going to have a blast!

Well I have some bad but not all that surprising news. Neville’s lowers hermied. It’s her last ditch effort to reproduce due no doubt to the increase in heat and light over the past few weeks. Every other hybrid I put it here thrives but these Sativas are especially sensitive. There’s a name for this late hermie phenomenon but it escapes me.

I searched through the flowers thoroughly and only found a few green undeveloped seeds near the tops of little sister. Nothing on the lowers directly across from the hermied Neville’s flower’s oddly enough. So right now it doesn’t appear like a lot of damage is done and just maybe I’ll find a few healthy seed’s that would make an interesting cross. Gotta look at the bright side, not all bad.

On that bright side, Little Sister is darkening up quickly towards the finish. Big Girl on the other hand looks content never to finish lol. No, but really she’s a little darker but it’s still looking like 15 weeks.

At least now I know why Neville’s has been looking so angry flipping everyone the bird lol, I can’t be the only one who noticed that.

I reckon that's the price for these long flowering sativas! If you have good airflow down there could you mist them with water to deactivate any pollen and carry on as usual?

Thanks Shed, great idea! If I’m ever going to take advantage of all the light I’m definitely going to need an air conditioner. Also my root balls feel like concrete, that can’t be good. I’m hoping SIP containers allow me to grow plants this big without filling the whole room with dirt lol.

So I misted them as instructed by sir Shed and plucked a few more seeds off that I saw. Not all the branches have them so that’s good.

Here’s a pic of a seedless lower. I just smoked some of this. Seeds or no seeds it’s amazing. Tastes like grape and I’m pretty numb. No shortage of frost.

Day 93 of flower

Well we’re coming to the end of yet another trek through the Mohave desert.
I really need to do something about the heat.
Neville’s is scheduled to come down in 5 days. That’s what the last one did anyway. This one is putting new pistils out right over the dried pollen sacs on the lowers. Not sure what that means. The rest of the plant looks good and smells great.

Little sister is ripening up quickly. She’s become much darker over the last couple days and I don’t see any new white pistils.

What’s left of the green on Big Girl doesn’t look bad at all. She continues to fatten up and drink like crazy.

Here’s some trichome pics of Big Girl. Very reassuring. There’s plenty of frost, it’s just buried in there and crystal clear. I’m feeling a little better about her prospects.

Those flowers are getting fatter and fatter and you will need three hands to trim them at harvest...two just to hang on to them!
