Oh yeah - I forgot one thing - you said "I have just started adding a little of the "grow" nutrients, and a little cal/mag, but very mild, like 125 PPM." - do you mix that up and then pour it into those red solo cups to feed them? That's the problem I'm running into - I'm three weeks exactly today from germinating, and all 5 plants (no idea what strain, seeds given to me by someone else) have around 4-5 sets of true leaves, and fairly large roots - probably 8" or so. They are all still only 3-4" tall, and from some of your journals, yours have larger leaves 3 weeks in. I'm just curious about feeding, how much to feed, etc. I use the same DWC you have in your Trinity, which I have them in...

My PPM goes up gradually but the pH stays level at 5.9 in my system... from looking at other posts, PPM going up means they are just drinking water? Maybe the nutrient mix is too high at this point... it was 335 just an hour ago when I checked.

To feed my seedlings in the solo cups I mix up the cal/mag with water and then mix the grow nutes with water each in their own cup, and then pour it all into the drainage pan. Within about 5 mins the water is pretty much gone, the plants, and the coco just soak it all up.

Your absolutely right about the PPM and water in your reservoir. The water is evaporating, or being drunk more than nutrients so PPM goes up.
If your plants aren't root burnt and leaves are looking nice and green with no burnt tips, you can leave it around the lvl your at. You could also top off the reservoir with plain water to lower the PPM a little.

Maybe next week feed the same amount as last week, and as the plants grow they will feed more, and PPM should lvl off or decrease. Either way, stay on top of testing the PPM's of the water. Its a very good indicator of over or under feeding, and can prevent problems before they happen sometimes.

When your PPM lowers and your pH rises your plants are drinking more nutrients then water and you should increase your nutrient strength. You should slightly reduce your nutrient strength.

Thanks CareStaker, I'm really looking forward to the Sour Diesel also. Only problem is the Sour D seedling is smaller than the Chunk or the Mystery strain, so I might keep the Sour D on the back burner until the OG closet is freed up again in about a month. Its coming soon my friend, soon.

Hi everyone.


I went to my grow tonight to change the reservoir in the OG Kush Closet, and started the flush on the Critical closet.
The Criticals are doing great, and they are pretty much done. The two plants are a little different though.
The Critical on the right with the big Cola isn't quite as ready for harvest as the the shorter plant on the left. The Shorter plant has about 40 to 50% amber trichomes though so I gotta start the flush now. The plant on the right is pretty much ready, but only has about 10% amber.
Either way the flush is on, I think I'm gonna harvest the shorter plant in full in about 5 days, but I'll let the right plant go an extra couple of days for good measure.
As you'll see in the pics, some of the leaves are yellowing and dying off, the plant knows she's done.

Critical Closte stats
Day 55 of flower
PPM= 51--Flushing
PH= 6.0
Air Temp= 87F
Water Temp=80F
RH= 58%

The OG Kush and smaller Critical closet is doing very well, today is day 27 of flower for them. The Criticals have stretched up a little more but still aren't quite as tall as the OG Kush. The bud stacking has definitely started on all 3 plants in the closet.
I think I have the two different pheno's of the Criticals in this closet also, I'll know for sure in a couple more weeks. I would like to keep the quicker finishing Critical, I just have so many seedlings and clones now, I'm getting a little over grown.

OG Kush & Critical Closet stats
Day 27 of flower
PPM= 720
PH= 5.9
Air Temp= 86F
Water Temp= 80F
RH= 53%

Seedling and Veg area. The Chunk is getting huge, even bigger than the mystery strain plant. All 6 OG Kush clones I took 6 days ago are still alive. I'm thinking of maybe trying a SOG run with the OG Kush clones.
So many plants, so little time.

I plan on doing the bud wash again with the Critical, and then hang in the room closet to dry as per usual.

Hey buddy! looking great in there!

I feel you on being over grown! I got 18 seedlings i popped a week ago getting transplanted into 4.25" square pots already!! I just had a seed order of 10x papaya, 10x Blackberry and 2 Pineapple Chunks show up this week, so i'm itching to pop those too, but i'm getting overgrown already since i have 6 widow clones waiting to go into flower. along with the grow box and my small 4x4 tent, things are getting crazy here!

That Critical + looks nice! i was really thinking about picking up a few Critical beans, but i was browsing marijuana seeds canada (single seed site that specializes in single seed sales to our awesome country!! check em out!) and i came across a particular strain that my GF said i had to order because shes a fuckin fanatic about it.. so i picked up 6 beans of Barney's Farm "Dr. Who" hahaha. God she loves that show!

Wow Greenthumb, do you ever have a lot of plants going. I picked up another order of seeds about a month ago, White Widow, Northern Lights, Pinapple Kush, Amnesia Haze, and some Auto Jack Herer, but I don't want to crack any til I'm ready. Its gonna be a while, before I get around to those unless I expand. Which the wife won't let me do.

Thanks for the offer guys. I actually love trimming, I put on a movie or 3 or some good tunes, and can trim for hours.
I wish I lived on the west coast sometimes, I live in Ottawa.

haha.. Yea the west coast is nice.. we have been having some really nice weather here in Vancouver the last couple weeks, A day or two of rain, but the grass and trees need to be watered too!!!

Alberta just got like 15cm of snow yesterday!!! first week of september? what the hell haha

My younger brother is working in Fort Macmurray right now and was blown away how early it snowed there.. supposed to be cold there all week too!

For me, the GF and i put on some music, load up the bong and the vaporizer and sit in our living room and trim away. First run in the grow box took like 4-5 hours to trim up a half pound. Was also the GFs first time trimming so she took her time

Thanks 60cal. The Criticals are done, I almost cut down the girls last night but decided against it last minute. I need a whole night of work to harvest, bud wash, and hang the plants. Then I gotta clean out and disinfect the closet, and transplant the Chunk and mystery strain. Friday night is gonna be a long night.
