Hey Black, I notice that all the time... They look twice as big and chunky under the blurple; it always spins me out.
I do feel like the buds were gonna be bigger and not sure where I went wrong.. Newbie over-excited and over-confident.. Been crowded in there and humid so max 3 plants next time is lesson one of this grow, in smaller pots; 2 would be better. Lesson 2; slightly smaller pots..
Lesson 3: rethink soil mix?
Looking into different/better ways to do things next time, so I'm already thinking of and experiment for next grow..
I've got 2 out of 5 Liberty Haze seeds left that I haven't been able to get popped, so the last 2 will be popped, hopefully, along with 1 Tutankhamun. If all 3 pop, then great. Hopefully I get at least 2 of them. I wanna try hempy; looks so easy. I will use "organic" hydro nutes; maybe Canna 'Bio' or similar if anyone can recommend...
So one into hempy, one in my regular soil (more perlite this time) with my usual haphazard home-done feeding; and if there's 3 plants, the last one will be hempy but with home-done teas, EWC extracts etc to see if that works.. Searching for the ultimate lazy way to get big buds, preferably organically.. Might be fooling myself, trying to avoid years of leaning and jumping straight to big, pro yields.. But this whole passive hydro/hempy thing really does look that easy! If the "organic" nutes really are organic.... Why not?
I do realise that "organic" and "soil" are not always the same thing.. True "organic" in my mind is in soil, with properly established, functioning, and self-maintaining food-web... Something that is probably not totally happening anyway in my cab but it's close enough for my purposes for now, anyway. Ultimately just looking for those monter buds..

And I almost forgot again but just before bed I went down and got some snaps of the fan setup..
Powerboard and timers: Fans and Light.
Multi-volt DC adapter. Wish I'd bought more. $8 clearance. Now I can only find these for around $20+, or cheaper 'fixed' voltage ones, starting at 3V.. I wanna build a drying box but I only want a very light breeze, so the 3V should be fine for that. it woulda been nice3 to have the option to go full speed for wet buds (after wash).
Roof access. I tape up black plastic and made flashing around the cables to stop light escaping.
Power to PC fan speed controller. Wires joined (twisted, no solder), heat-shrink on individual join, then heat shrink over both, the gaffer tape just to provide bit of extra strength at the join.
Fan speed controller.
Fan speed controller. 3 for extraction, 1 for circ. fans (piggy-backed).
Controller to extraction fans.
Controller wrapped to stop that annoying blue light they put in EVERYTHING these days for some reason..(Ha just remembered I replaced all my car interior lights with blue LEDs.. But it's a Ford, so... You, know.. Blue Oval...)

There beautiful Santb.. I'd just look at what you were feeding for first five weeks of flower. My feelings was to much n was being added, I did try and say something, especially with the gogo but at same time when someone's telling you how they go about it, organically etc, you don't really want to come out and say that's not the best practice, because there's plenty way to get to the final result, it could have shown another way, get what I mean? .. Just look at keeping your base nutrients and add boosters, rock phosphates pot ash silicon..... Hempys are a great idea, seen some really good ones in mineralised coco coir. Look into some of Big Irish doodes (bids) journals..

Cheers, Grizz... Yeah I remember reading that about the Gogo juice AFTER I'd put it in! But you are right, I probably go over board with the N nutes..The soil should be good enough to carry through N wise but I can't help myself.. Next run will be much more disciplined on that. Another reason why I think the hempy might be the go.. Shouldn't be able to over-water, and no excess nutes sitting around.. Just stick to the bottle. No extras!
Jake, your thread looks fine from here but i only look on my laptop. I hate mobile browsing. And I only use Firefox. Tried Chrome once but did'nt like it. for some reason... Try "refreshing" the browser.. clear the cache and get rid of all cookies.. Google "Reset Chrome".. I did it the other day on my Firefox cos it wasn't loading GIFs and pages were freezing etc.. Fixes it all, pretty much.. Also, check your your 420Mag settings too.. A few weeks ago, my 420M pages were loading backwards, as in last post first (I like it in order, first to last!).. Anyway, some how the settings got changed in my thread tools and I had to fix that...

Reading back, I made a mistake with the pics of the fan speed controller..
This one I wrote that the gaffer tape was the the main power feed from the adapter... It isn't.
This one, with NO gaffa.. I meant to gaff, but obviously didn't, and cos I rushed the pictorial, I didn't notice the stuff up til now.. I WILL gaff now...

OK quick photo update.. Girls all doing well; no major changes.. Getting close now, so getting antsy! Don't wanna cut too early! I might even do a top down harvest. Some of the popcorn might go alright closer to the light.. Fatten em up a bit for butter or hash...

Cheers Jake and Black; favourite at the moment is GTH. Looks like it'll be very nice gear. Scotts is also very frosty and smells the biz.. Not too strong but deep.. I think I know what proper OG/kush smell is now! The GTH is very hazey. Real lemon candy smell. And very sticky..
They all look and smell good. Atomic not as frosty as I expected but that'd be my fault.. Still looks good though!
Not sure now.. 8 weeks (56 days) since flip on Wednesday; about 44 days since flowering really kicked in.. Still plenty of time on paper but when the pistils start to turn, I get nervous. Still a few white pistils on them; the GTH has heaps. Microscope showing a lot of cloudy already. I'll do a good trich inspection of all plants next weekend to see what's going on. That'll be 50-ish days. I reckon I'll be harvesting 2-3 weeks from today. GTH probably/hopefully a week or two later..
Not long to go now!
