So I haven't put up many progress reports lately due to trying to psyche myself up for the JH grow. I think I'm all set except for a complete lack of good lighting. But here's some of the highlights of my SPoG® SoG.
I just posted this on the JH grow thread. It's my Jack Herer SPoG®. By the looks of this, you can understand why why I'm reluctant for the grow to become a contest, but just in case, I've already resigned myself to tag along as sort of a mascot rather than a competitor. The other JH that was planted at the same time is in back to the left (groan). It may not be a big producer, but at four weeks out of the nine week flowering period, she's promising some nice dense bud
So far, here's the star of my show, my NYC Diesel. This girl shows lots of promise to be a good producer (relative to my own abilities)
Another one that's looking good is the leading lady, the Early Miss. The discoloration on the fan leaf is due to physical damage during LST and just bumping into the adjoining pot. That yellow thing in back is a Dwarf Low Flyer. Apparently they're not one of the more tolerant strains for harsh conditions.
One of these two girls will probably be the strain I'll use for an ATF cross, so rather than growing a Flyin' Fuck I may be doing a Miss Thunderfuck or a Thunderdiesel. I'll see what the buds are like when I smoke them and decide then.
Now another one that may be a contender for a cross is the Revolver. I had reasonably good luck getting these girls to come to size last year and they are looking like a possibility for a cross, but I can't come up with a good name for it, so on that factor alone I may not do that cross. Shows where my priorities are, eh?
And on a positive note, I have a JH on the go now that has germinated faster than anything else in the last two months, so maybe my renovations to the growroom are finally paying off
And with that, I just put on a pot of coffee and I have no coffee cream, just regular milk. Terrible. And you know what? I work with a guy that puts 2% milk into his coffee. Fuck, that's just coloured water. So I gotta make an emergency coffee cream run and get some decent stuff into me. And speaking of getting some decent stuff into me, I may look into getting a bit of weed too. I was supposed to get some last night, but I never got a call back, which was ok anyway. I had a massage therapy appointment at 4:15 yesterday and at 4:45 when it was over I was on the verge of sleep which lasted until I actually got to sleep, not long after.
