Right on man! It's a good day; the car got a new tire. I've been driving around on the donut since Monday and I was getting edgy to have some decent rubber. Now I got one good tire on her hah. And she drives straight again!

Grow Weed Easy is a good site with lots of excellent information. I'll look into that article; it may be the one I have in mind anyway.

But we had a good week - a midwinter thaw is always nice. We lost almost every bit of snow in a day. Back to fuckin' cold now.

I haven't smoked a joint in almost 30 years. Bong, pipe or my Tru Va flower vape pen is usually my choice....but I generally smoke alone. I don't even know if I could even roll a joint anymore!!

I haven't done feminized seeds yet, but when I do I will use the Silver Thio-Sulfate (STS) method. Its much less stressful to the plant, and much easier and not nearly as messy. Where you have to spray every day with CS, you only have to spray like 2 or 3 times with the STS. I will document the process on my Nukehead grow cause it looks like Nukehead #2 is going to be a monster and i will be wanting to make some more seeds of that strain. I also plan on crossing it with ATF for regular seeds.

You know, I got a pipe and I got a vape pen but I still prefer my J's. The pipe is alright, I guess; it's good for a single drag here and there. Now the vape pen has its uses. Two drags off it and I don't get any detectable psychoactive effects, it doesn't leave a smell and it's enough to dull the back pain from leaning over the salmon tanks. When I have some bud I like to sneak it into work for a couple hoots throughout the day. One small bud does me.

My problem is that I've been a chronic pothead for 30+ years and I just love being buzzed. I don't go that far at work, but on days off like now... bring 'er on! And like I say, I like my joints the best. With a little bit of baccy mixed in for good luck.

Right on Van, I guess the general consensus seems to be that STS is the way to go. I'll see where my finances take me in April when the car's paid off.
 
And while I'm here this evening I'll post a couple more pictures. It's just a couple little things I did since last night's post. Nothing spectacular - I just got the starter pots off the floor and worked on a couple LSTs. As much as I gripe about those white containers they still have their uses as long as it doesn't require being handled, so I put the starters up on them. Next stop, the penthouse

Looking at it today, I realized I need vent holes so the cold that is trapped inside can get circulated. On the bottom left is a small space heater that I keep pointed in and not seen here but to the top right is a fan. The door to the space is left open, but not to the point the cat can get at my shit hah! I don't have a thermometer; maybe I should probably consider starting to think about contemplating making some potential plans to decide on getting one at some point in the undefined future.

I LSTed a couple of the girls today too. They took well to the new pots. I don't know if this can be considered transplanting as such; these were originally those stacked white buckets and had no bottom so I just plopped them into the tall pots. This is the Early Miss that got broken off. She's branching real well, but there's no main stem cola. Hopefully the resulting extra growth of the secondary ones will somewhat compensate at least 1:1 for the fuck-up

And the NYC Diesel which at first wouldn't show any of the buds for the camera. She has a nice main cola on the go plus a couple secondaries as well. I see a couple fan leaves that I can pick off though, now that I see this picture full-sized.

So that's the recent update; things are slowly coming together.
 
Tuck'em don't pluck'em! They need all the photosynthesis they can get with the CFLs.

I thought they were just an energy sink when they turn yellow, just using more energy than it produces. I'll leave them for the time being though, just 'cause you say so.
 
On a small plant without a lot of leaves I'd let the plant decide when it's time for them to fall off.
