Flower Child's First Grow: Seeds- Soil- MH-HPS Sun- 2013

Thanks Harley and Spimp! I must confess that I can't wait. :cheesygrinsmiley: So..... I took a couple tiny buds from the lower areas and am drying them now. It's only been 4 weeks of flower so I don't think theres that much potency yet- but I'm hoping to be surprised.

On the downside I have 3 pineapple chunks that are perplexing me. I had been feeding them half as much as the thc bombs, since they showed clawed leaves with more than that. Thursday they had yellowing bottom leaves so I fed them the same as the bombs (3/4 strength food, molasses and cal-mag). Now 2 of them have brown splotches that I think are nitrogen burns or ph issues again. However its only on a couple leaves. They are going back to half strength feed.

The third decided to claw up all her leaves and yellow even more bottom foilage. She will be getting only water for tonites feeding.

I hope I'm on the right path with their issues- any one have any ideas what else it could be?

All the other girls look awesome. The stretch seems to be over- the tallest pineapple topped out at 33", and the shortest bomb right at 26". The bombs have the biggest buds and I think will be the first to harvest. I'm hoping the pineapples have a ways to go cause they really need to fill in more. Heres how they all looked this morning.

Well thats all for now- I haven't been here that much this week cause theres been a lot going on- DR's visits and an IRS audit :whoa:. All is well though- and the IRS didn't get another dime from me much to their dissapointment.:cheesygrinsmiley:
Off now to catch up on journals:reading420magazine::peace:

glad to hear the gov. didnt suck you dry:)

Hi Flo. Looks very impressive. Nice pics.

You are a credit to your fishy mentor :)

All the best people seem to come here,

so I thought I'd drag along for a while to even things out ;)

your a plus dude :) dont kid yourself

I believe when you have lower leaf issues its an "mobile" defiency. Maybe they are using up all the N?
LIGHT GREEN OR YELLOW LEAVES
Leaves drooping
^^ about half way into first page interesting discussion of mobile vs immobile nute def.
Im sorry these two arethe only ones I have that may spark a conclusion for ya. Ill keep my eye out an if I see something interesting or helpful Ill link ya up. BTW, looking good ma'am. :) Can we get a pic of those drying buds? ;)

Hey thanks guys! I think I will try increasing the cal mag from a light to a medium dose for all of them, and will give the clawed one a good flush and a 1/4 feeding. I looked at the pages you mentioned Spimp. Some of the pics looked exactly like my clawed one and the consensus seemed to be cal- mag- zinc def, and N toxicity.
Was wondering if I should give all of them a flush as they are 4 weeks into flower with about 4 to go and they only get a bit of runoff when I water. :scratchinghead:
Oh and I will take pics of the buds I picked, when lites go on tonite. They are currently enjoying 40% humidity in the dark tent with the girls so they don't dry out too fast. Outside humidity is only in the low teens here so they will hang out in there till I find a cardboard box for them. :cheesygrinsmiley::peace:

Thanks Ricorico and welcome! :welcome: I've been reading a bit of your journal and you are far too modest my friend. Very impressive grow- love your quonset scrog!:cheesygrinsmiley: I've learned everything I know from reading and getting help from fish cake and other great growers on this site. I'd still be killing seedlings if it weren't for everyone here.:circle-of-love::cheesygrinsmiley::peace:

have a good Skunkday FC:)

good looking plants. every leaf taken will help a bud get bigger . :thumb:

have a good Skunkday FC:)

Good morning and good weed Flower your grow Looks like its growing out of Bounds!!!!!!!!!!:peace::thumb::goodjob::circle-of-love::bravo::high-five:

Good morning gentlemen. :cheesygrinsmiley: and thanks! It is a great day here in my little corner of the world. We went organic a couple of years ago and decided to take up the lawn and turned our double lot into a huge garden. We grow all our own veggies and rarely have to buy anything but meat at the grocers. And now with my indoor weed garden I can soon be sure that what I'm smoking will be all organic too. Can't wait!

The girls got a lot bigger than I anticipated. They come up to my waist and are getting hard to take in and out of the tent. I went to the store after watering them the other day and kept smelling weed- to my horror it was my hair- it had brushed the leaves- a pony tail is in order from now on. The plants are changing in odor too. The bombs smell like a sweeter pine and the pineapples are taking on a fruity undertone. I forgot to take a pic of the buds to smoke-they are drying so tiny that it will take 3 of them just to fill a bowl!

Oh and I tried to defoliate them the other day. Spent about 2 hours deliberating what to take and what to leave till I had a headache and only took about 6 fans from 9 plants! Maybe the next grow I will try again.

Have a great day everyone!:circle-of-love::cheesygrinsmiley::peace:

:) 2046 :)

That's a fishy strain. 2046. He was to stoned to think of letters....only numbers....the language of the universe....

He bought some seeds from a unicorn at a grateful dead concert back in the day,

Grew 10 feet high, before he realised it was male,

so he stressed it out so much that it hermied, the rest is history....

Go easy on defoil. Never take much at one time. It's quite stressy for the plant and you can defoil over a few days.

Things don't always have to go so fast,

but as a Lady, you already knew that ;)

So I went to water the girls last nite and this is what I saw.
IMG_20130623_231325.jpg

Looks like a tent of happy plants.........until I put on the hps glasses. Then I noticed this on nearly all the fan leaves.
IMG_20130624_081721.jpg

On a lot of them the rust color is just starting so it won't show on camera-but it affects the whole leaf. It still looks like ph or cal mag issues-except that the water in is ph 7 and the runoff is ph 6.5. I gave them more cal mag in their water so hopefully they won't get worse. Anyone have any ideas on what else I could do? Oh and they are all yellowing and dropping a few lower leaves- looks like nitrogen def. Is that normal with 4 weeks yet to go?
IMG_20130623_231923.jpg

On a happy note the pineapples are starting to fill out their buds a bit- not as much as the bombs but they are doing their own thing.
These three are the tallest pineapples. The one in the middle is the one that the fan fell on- she now has the thickest trunk and a fair amount of buds. The one on the far right split in half from an agressive lst and I had to wire and duct tape her back together.
IMG_20130623_222904.jpg

And finally a few beautiful bomb bud pics.

I just hope the girls will hang in there long enough to finish. :bitingnails::)

Thanks Ricorico, yea you just never know with fishcake:cheesygrinsmiley:- I thought it was a new brainteaser of some sort.

As far as defoliation go's, I'm glad now I didn't take but a few leaves since they have decided to "self-defoliate" and drop a lot of leaves. At this rate they will be naked by the time they are done! :bitingnails:pretty brazen:cheesygrinsmiley::cheesygrinsmiley:
