Ok. So im throwing down the gaunlet! Im gonna defol. the living crap out of my Lemon Skittles plant. Ill take of all leaves but the tippy top at the bud sites.

I will come back with pictures in about 4 hours. Lights dont come on for 3 hours. Imperical evidence and Its not at all scientific, i just want to see if this plant can be turned around.

Prognostication:
This plant wont go past 3 ounces.

I think defoling will cause it to redirect energy where need.

If your going to do a heavy defol you might want to back the strength of your nutes down some for a few days. Remember your not feeding as much plant and that alone could be problems. I'm a big defol guy and have had good results if you do it right. Just don't want to see ya and up with a burnt up plant.

I pulled off tiny buds, any leaves larger than 2.5 inches, i cleaned off all the old stems i could find and so the after shots...

The only leaves left are either at the very top of the budsite, which you arent to mess with from what i understand, and the sugar leaves on the bud itself, which i feel need to be left alone.

In your opinion, is this defoled to where you would want it Flash?

Wow thanks for the pictures! I love this plant she s beautiful!
Regarding the defol I couldn't have done better! Considering the space I think you did right! Adding the LST on top of it maybe have also been an excellent thing cause now the plant is more opened and light will penetrate better! Honestly I can only see the job you dit as a good thing! I saw too many times that I should have pruned more the back part that couldn't get light well inside. It s good you didn't go further down. They explain well in the article I had posted how some go to way down in the trimming and may loose yields. I think in the video where they did heavy defol, they didn't remove any budsite but the all the fan leaves everywhere. I may give it a try on one if the center pot girl to see how it goes. This would give us a little stuff to compare as the two plants are mostly same size currently and same age.

Anyway again I think you did well and that's how I would have tried to do it. And you made it even more useful by making LST !

Forgot to share how heavy defo well done can lead too huge buds :

I downloaded it and slowed it down to count the days. From what I counted, they did the Nebula's method pushed even further . They Defoliated before flip then 21 days later (when stretch is almost done for most photo strains)

I think that plant looks great. Canopy intact...still plenty of solar panels there....looks like the stuff you removed was just the stuff using nutrients that will now go to a productive part of the plant! Nice job brother!

This plant still has more leaves than a 60 foot sycamore. I think the LST is gonna help. Thanks a lot
