First Time Grow, 2x4 Tent Six Bulb T5ho White Widow & Early Miss Organic Grow

Some folks ease into it. I tried this during my first grow. I went straight to 12/12 in all of my grows after that. I do leave the lights off for 36 hours between 18/6 lighting and 12/12. This apparently shortens the stretch period.

Excellent info , thanks so much old salt and I’m glad to hear about the short stretch, little more lst, espwirh hight issues,

Two questions for you to help me with please good sir, you’ve been so helpful so far!

Should I expect the widow to double in size?

Now that I did massive defoliation and a large top how long until I can flip??

(They are looking great today and praying to the lights, lotsa fresh healthy green)

Cause I’m ready for the flower ride :yahoo:

White Widow is an indica and sativa hybrid. It should at least double in size, probably more.

If you just topped them, wait a week or two before switching to flower. Let the plant grow branches at the node below the cut first. If there are branches already, give the plant a few days to recover from topping first.

Thanks again I’ve been waiting for your knowledge :Namaste:

I’ll keep her taught using lst and wait a few more days, just put her to 100% power in both drivers so let her coast for 2 or three days and then flip, looks amazing and I’m excited
That mars hydro light is the brightest damn thing I’ve ever owned!

Oh hell yeah she has branches below the cut, this beast is now stretched to fill this 3x3 tent, Hope I have the math dialed
For the height and should be in biz

If final height is about four ft tall(or less) , a 5 gal pot should suffice yes?
I’ve heard a gallon a foot but not sure if true.....

Also the little repair i had to do on a nice branch, seems fine 24hrs later

Some growers break the branches deliberately to help control growth. It's called supercropping. I've only done it once, when a plant grew too high for my tent. It was pretty much the only way to recover from my mistake.

The gallon per foot might work for some folks, depending on how they train their plants. I see soil growers on this site using seven gallon or bigger containers, as the bigger the pot, the bigger the harvest. There are other factors involved, but your container size will limit your harvest if it is too small.

I'm growing drain-to-waste in coco/perlite. I have about three gallons per container, and during my last grow I had a plant just over 5'. I know this is not comparable to a soil grow.

Mars Hydro does produce very good grow lights. I have two of their TS series of lights, and am quite pleased with them. If I had not had the parts on hand to build my COB array, I would not have built it. Mars Hydro came out with them about a year after I ordered the parts. You might want to let @SmokeSara know what you think of them. She loves feedback on the Mars Hydro products.

Supercropping was goin to be my last ditch effort if my math was off as well!
I’ve seen many people here have good outcomes, usually for space issues, but great yield.

I tried to win the mars hydro contest but surprise surprise, nothin lol
So I had to go get one, so far I’m happy with the light.......
But look at my plant, the ww is in dire straights by the looks of it.....

So last post lights were 100% for about 6hrs the lights out, then we’re in for 3hrs and the first pic showed in......
My heart dropped....

So I waited patiently, got the tent a little warmer , three degrees nothing huge, and turndownd lights to 75%ish

*** only thing I don’t like is the dimmer, works great but hard to use, and dang plug lol ***

Either way opened tent today......

No good, was due for a watering(big time, coulda last night but no chlorine free cause watered EM, bigger bucket req!) , with 1/4 strength nutes,

Super withered but a lots of new growth and it’s trying really dang hard!
Cooled down here today so worked on heat issues , running around 23-25c light on

Help me plz.......
Somehow?

Looking so sad but I’m throwing positive vibes
What y’all think??

Pics
1-yesterday
2-new growth
3-today pre water
4- today post water

:Namaste:Slow deep breaths :Namaste:

So I’ve been trying, out of my norm, to have patience while growing.
Think. Wait...wait.... think. do.
I like the phrase ‘move as slow as your plants.’
Helps me a lot.

So I think to widow was just really really thirsty after her brutalization, Poor thing, so back to square one.

She’s watered, and heated to 25-26c and 50%rh min, lights at low, maybe a touch up, and there may be a light at the end of the tunnel.....

Keep your posted and plz let me know if I can do anything but wait.... :Namaste:

On a brighter note:blunt:

The early miss is stacking, frosting and makes me so excited!! I’m checking trichomes everyday...... can’t wait!
Looks professional haha
So stoked
Tips at when she’s done??
Best place to c trichomes??
I’ve been using bottom of sugar leaves..... large amounts there easy to see

So damn excited for this

A laugh is what I needed, well also for the girl to bounce back, and fingers crossed, lookin pretty decent....

So back to square one, no turning up the lights yet either , I also gotta figure my passive air intake light issue, found a 2012 thread on here that helped, I think , nothing like 2 am arts and crafts...... ohhhhh & a screaming baby...
Hence my speratic posts

Thank so much for all the responses and help, much appreciated during a time of need, but I see now that a lot of the ‘help’ I need is time & patience:Namaste:

here’s the ww..... better no??

And the em a free seed! & makes my mouth drewl ....

Who says all good things in life aren’t free

Ones a main kola , they’re still pumpin pistils and packin weight, and clear trichomes ......

So things are looking alright, I up potted yesterday went for a ten gallon, I want that big yield like you promised old salt ;)

But honestly I’m having a hard time watching watering with the new kid. So I went larger pot size to help, and to increase yield I hope!

A lotta fresh healthy greens on top so I’m going to go light out at 7am for 24hrs.

I would go 36 old salt, for height reasons, because I’m oretty sure I’ll end up super cropping or having burnt buds, but I’m having lightn inturusion issues, so if I keep lights on 7am-7pm , well then when it’s dark it’s minimal light,
Odd garage entrance with a small 60w 15ft away

So hope it helps with that, otherwise I’d take your advice good sir,
It’s helped imencly

After up pot into ten gal

As for the em she’s looking fantastic!!
Getting heavy and frosty , so exciting
WAtching for trichomes to go cloudy but clear this far

What a sexy gal

I’ve never harvested my own marijuana and I’ve spent a small fortune buying everything to try over the years.

Just an amazing plant, and one of which I will waste nothing of....

Kind of a Segway to a a future journal/thread that I’ve been planning for a while, and I also have two other plants on the go, about a month old. Just no time atm

It will be more of the perpetual type, hoping you will all join and have input. Like I say I will waste nothing of this magestic plant.
A pot of morning fan leaf tea.

1-tea bag
1-handful of fan leaves
1-splash of milk to your pleasure

Seed to stoned.
Stem to bud.
Nothing will no go waste

Respect thy plant, and she will respect you.:Namaste:

So 48hrs after flip we have pistils starting!!!!
So exciting, popping up everywhere, noticed them this morning and more throughout the day!

First photo grow, unexpected but think it’s going alright

Plant looks good so I lowered the lights to 18inches and turned up to about 75% strength

so how long should I expect until completion??

I thought these were autos so my time line is off now, but any ideas??

Officially just started flower, how long? Guess/thoughts??

Happy Sunday y’all,

So the widow is looking great,
Super fresh and green with a lotta flowers starting! Have her about 25c and 45rh
19inches away from 100% light strength

Any guesses how many weeks till completion??

I don’t have a clue now that it’s a photo.....

But speaking of completion, the earlymiss damn near!

I’m watching trichomes steady, so now how many ambers to I want before I put her into 24hr darkness??

I’ve heard 10% amber is this right?

I’m also looking for basically couch lock, stronger the better.....

Really need help on when to move to darkness, cause imma bought ready for harvest! I’ve been waiting patiently

I’ve seen a few ambers, how fast do they come on??

And we’re talking ambers under the sugar leaves yes??

Thx in adv for your help
:Namaste:

So now for the widow.......
well she’s been through a hell of a life haha
But sadly now it’s starting to show

So she’s Not an auto, born sept.16 , took a heavy defoliation earl In life, then a foot off for a topping, now in her own 3x3 and flowering ,12/12, under a new light, mars tsw-2000, and now in a 10gal fabric pot

I also was light on nutes cause thought was an auto but have upped to regular amounts since but.....

We have a deficiency.... I think.....
Need your help folks!!

Here she is, Old fans are getting lime greenish, even some of the smaller newish (since the topping before the flip) fan on the top are showing limeish in color,
Flowers look fine still and new growth still comes in green then goes kind lime, and little limpy

I have an idea but wanna hear your thoughts....
Don’t want to impede your decisions!

Plz help.....
Not sure but getting scared

Enjoy the day everybody
